tlowr, it's possible that removing anything in the crystal chests will fix the issue, as it will not be rendering the items inside.

EDIT: And jpm just successfully logged on.

EDIT2: And server just went down, but is back online.

Ok peeps, take notice of this:

As a result of the increasing lag I believe I *may* have found the answer. Can anyone with a crystal chest please remove it from the world and put it in another chest or keep it in your inventory. Just make sure it's not placed at all. This is a test, you can keep the chests. If it's successful you won't be able to and I'll repay you in some form or another. Either way, if everyone can get on and remove their crystal chests asap please, that would be great. Let me know when that's done.

I just transported all my items in a crystal chest.

Most of them are finished! There's about 3 still running. And they always run out of coal.

It's an old machine. Core2Quad, 4GB RAM, ATI 4xxx GPU.

4xxx says very little. Atleast 4somethingxx, because there are cards like 6230, which are very useless, and then there's cards like 6990, which are amazing and can handle anything.

Server's laggy, we have 3 new players, and I hate that anti-login plugin.

It's definitely the dynamic map. It's causing massive lag for me.

And whitelist legroulx.

Server's laggy, we have 3 new players, and I hate that anti-login plugin.

I hate the anti-dumping buckets plugin. I was trying to make a small pond in the trading district, and thought I could get around it by claiming the land. So I claim the pond, fill it with water, and unclaim it. And the water disappears!

So I've noticed a lot of talk regarding plugins and such. Do I need these to get on the server?

All you need to get onto the server is Tekkit 3.1.2. Everything else is server-side. And to build you need to be whitelisted by DQuaN.

EDIT: And the lag seems to have been solved by the dynmap. It's now stable 4/5-bar connections and jpm, who kept timing out after a few seconds is now able to use the server fine.

I'm not bothered about the land claim, that should stay, but I'd like to be able to dump buckets on unclaimed land. I thought I'd be able to claim just the pond, but there's a 10x10 minimum limit too.
