First internet in well over a week so hopped back on the server. Unfortunately, from Sunday until whenever I get internet back in my new flat that's also gonna be my last blast on there for a while!

Appeared online to find out that my old base had been ransacked. Luckily I'd kept all my valuable items on me but it seemed to be the work of thiefs/griefers - most of the ground had been dug up and someone had half-made a structure above it, and all my chests were empty (apart from the one I'd hidden with quartz/redstone in, thankfully).

Whoever those two guys were who were online when myself and @GT-R were online were a pain in the arse too. Sometimes you want to be left to build without people hopping around as you're trying to drop blocks...

Where was it? If it was done in the last 3 days or so since I updated I can find out who it was. I've already banned one griefer today.

I've not been on the server for over a week so if it happened before the update there's no way of finding out. I didn't lose anything important, so it's more a minor annoyance than a serious pain.

Whereabouts are you mining? If it's near the original spawn then it could be my mine - I've been branch mining for quite a distance in most directions.

I've noticed that the veins are not touched and the mine is only 1 square wide. Does that help?

Possibly, I tend to dig 1x2 tunnels, and I've ignored most of the lapis, redstone and coal I've come across - I've been grabbing diamonds, emeralds and iron instead.

Just finished off the chicken restaurant:

Though when I logged back in it was broken, annoyingly. Not tampered with (that I know of), but basically the dispenser wasn't working as the redstone at the back was permanently lit. Not sure of the cause but I basically had to deconstruct the circuitry and the hoppers to un-light it. Basically, it meant that the system became full up with eggs and none were being fired by the dispenser. Could just be a quirk of Minecraft.

So, I guess we got griefed. I've banned the users (3 in total) in question. I managed to fix the two houses I built; the tree is pretty much done, though.

@DQuaN, we must find a way around this. We either have to white-list people who we know don't do these things or find another solution. Is there any way to do rollbacks? I couldn't find the option and am asking about it for future reference.

I believe a protection plugin is in the works as is a rollback plugin. I don't want to restrict the server as I want as many new players as possible. The server is the busiest it's ever been!

Hi all. EnkiGilbert here, I guess I should say I'm back. 1.8 has brought some great new stuff and I noticed DQcraft isn't lagging for me anymore so I'll be playing here again, got started yesterday. Is this world staying or getting wiped?

If you venture out to this spot beware of the sea monster.

Yeah we found one the other day. It's REALLY hard. You need enchanted diamond weapons and armour.

In other news, you should now be able to lock your chests by placing a sign on them.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. It was not easy surviving. What started my voyage at sea, I started out looking for a jungle biome. Found just about everything but that.

I also learned there is only one /sethome available.
(My /home is now set some 5700 blocks from my house.)

Oh and the /spawn command seems broken?

For whatever reason my phone won't let me see the new world map you posted. So, at this time I can't comment on how badly I may have ruined the map...

Just had a look at the map... yikes.

I'm guessing the huge gaping hole is the problem.
If you want I can travel down the middle and fill that in? Or should I just stay on that end of the map?

(Think I might make another donation to the server fund)

I'm going to set a border. Hopefully with more plugins or spigot updated i'll be able to clean it up. Just carry on as normal for now.
