I don't think it would be accepted at first but I think the more publicity it would get for being quick would make it a winner in the long run. The only downside to that, the "American Muscle" guys would be a little P***** off.:P
There are alot of people in Japan who are into the American muscle car scene.

I think the GSX is one hell of a car to tell you the truth.
I am not much for ricers going around sounding like a diesel truck sometimes, since they have a 17' inch, coffee can for a muffler tip but I do think the GSX was really and engine to stick with.

Tep, very different. Although I think it would be great to see the Japanese get their little hands one some of the best Europe and American made engines, and see what comes back.

I would love to see a 1000+ Hemi/Skyline merger, along with some add from maybe a Porche.... That would be one hell of a motor.

Put a full 3 inch exhaust (no cats) and a boost controller on that GSX, and your "stock mustang 2002 gt" would get BALLED ON.

Which is hilarious, considering I can buy a 1g GSX with the afore mentioned mods for under 5k.

How much will that Mustang cost?

Unless you plan on getting 65 hp and 100 ft/lbs torque from exhuast and alittle more boost go for it. Now spend less then 5k on a supercharger/turbo charger for the stang and see what happens.

Can you even fit a hemi into the engine bay first though? Would be hella cool to see.

Mustangs are overrated pieces of crap, I am sick and tired of people bashing on cars because they think the Stang is a "god" car. Truth is they just plain out suck. Uncomfortable to sit in, ****ty on gas and my god they are ugly.

Lateral 4's go left to right, or right to left. But an Inline engine goes from the front to the back, such as the Supra and Skylines.

Just making up terminology, eh?

Transversely mounted engines span the engine bay between the wheels, from driver's to passenger's side or vice versa. Longitudinally mounted engines are front to back.

There is no such thing as "lateral 4"...:D

It is slang I have heard a lot of people start using it recently.
Along with Side 4's, personally I would rather say that thang Lateronaerhgergny placed. :P

First time I've ever heard it.

Meh. I'll stick with transversely mounted inline 4 and longitudinally mounted inline 4.

Why is the first gen eclipse so great? A 'friend' of mine has one, a GSX. Tried to tell me it weighed 2,500lbs and could beat a stock mustang 2002 gt rofl. I told him it was 3095 and it lacked 65hp and 100ft/lbs torque and he went nuts and doesnt talk to me anymore rofls.

This is more funny than the V12. A stock mustang GT will hit a 15 second quarter if its LUCKY. If a stock Mustang raced a stock 4G63 AWD, the race is over after 100 feet. Ive spent about $2,500 in mods for my car, and I'm hitting mid 12's. You can put all the damn horsepower you want in a Mustang, but your still not going to put it to the ground; and I guarentee you that rain, snow, dirt, or tarmac, I will :mischievous:

Nice,
But rather instead of sounding like a Bill Gates of cars you can sound like a hip person who is up to date with the rest of the world.

So wouldn't the Inline 4 facing north-south be called longitudinal 4?

I will sacrifice my being thought of as a dork for terminological accuracy.

And as for TS1AWD: Car and Driver tested the Mustang GT and got a quarter mile time of 14.2 @ 98mph. I'm inclined to believe them more than you...

This coming from a 15 year old who doesnt know much

Yes a 'crappy' 2002 GT that runs 14's stock. Compared to the 1990 GSX which runs 15.3 stock.

Oh look another arm chair racer who thinks he owns a race car. GT doesnt count as really owning the car. Hey smart guy ever hear of drag radials? With that AWD in the GSX it brights it weight up to 3095lbs, 100 less then the GT which has again 65 more hp and 100ft/lbs more torque. You guys are so funny, im not bashing on either car but im telling you the facts which your little mind doesnt comprehend.
Also the mustang gets 18 mpg / 26 mpg, now the GSX is 20 mpg / 25 mpg . Whoa? Big difference! /me dies

I never once said it can't out perform te GSX, I just personally think it is a piece of crap and it sucks, that my opinion, so blow me.

Nick...:mischievous:

Yes and your opinion is wrong. You being young wouldnt like to admit that. Ford must be doing something right since you see Mustangs all the time.

Ever seen a Mach 1? What about a Boss 302? I swear to God that they will eat your ****ty assed Talon alive.

Ok well since my brain is much more complex than Candy Land, and furthermore than that you give me credit for, you know I am right and are just to old and hard headed to admit it. :D

If you knew what you were talking about, you would know a catless exhaust and a bc on a 4G63 would easily net 60hp more.

And you must be proud that a $20,000 PLUS Mustang with another 5k dumped into it, barely competes with a decade old, 4 cylinder with a total cost including mods, comes in at under 5k.

I dont own either car dumbass. Go back to playing GT where your catless exhaust nets you 60 more hp.

I'll do that Jr.

I hope to see you and your Chevette at the drag strip.

Here it is again for you.
