With that AWD in the GSX it brights it weight up to 3095lbs, 100 less then the GT which has again 65 more hp and 100ft/lbs more torque. Ok wow ...... where do I start? The AWD DSM's did weigh a touch over 3000lbs. But they did still manage to pull off 14.9's. The 1990 Laser that I owned weighed in at a mere 2500lbs yet still retained the same hp and torque figures as the GSX's and such. It was FWD but this only means I have a top end advantage over the AWD's. It was too rated at 14.9.
And Monster 7 is correct. 60 hp is easy to come by in the old 4G63's. There was I think like 10 hp in free mods. Removing resistor pellet freeing up like 2 psi of boost. Removing intake silencer. A 40 dollar replacement K&N filter is good for about alittle over 10wheel horsepower. Couple that with an exhaust which is another easy 20-30 hp on these cars. Some more cheap mods to set it well above the GT and keep it cheap? How about a intercooler hard pipe kit? Improving turbo spool up and throttle response as well with the 5-10hp, hundred bucks spent. A ported and clipped 16g turbo that not only gives you like 25hp but also has better flow chacteristics for some much needed lower torque. Wow all that power for like 600 bucks.
So lets see... pick up the car for 3k for one in damn good shape. 500 for exhaust if you buy one and dont have it custom bent for alot cheaper. 40 for K&N. 600 for 16g. 100 for hard pipe kit. Boost controller for like 2-300 bills.umm lets see... about 1500 in mods.
Ask TS1 how much he's put into his to get it to run 12's.
Oh....... and your gas figures are when the cars are driven extemely civil..... put the pedal to the floor and I think its a totally different story.

Monster 7 is talking about taking of the cat to get 60 hp not to do all this little stuff to gain it. He's talking about ONE thing. Where do you get adding a new air filter ads 10 hp to the wheels? Hell im gonig to go rip off the air box in my corolla add a short ram or cai and put a kn filter and boom ive got 10 more hp t othe wheels! oooooh yeah.

Alright....... thank you for admitting defeat..... i just showed you a reputable company who has dyno charts available who doesnt advertise on pay tv at 3 in the morning.... and all you do is blow it off? Ask ppl around here...... intakes can easly add 5 hp.... its not that magical.

If you cant keep yourself in check then stop posting. You guys dont understand that charts you see on a website selling whatever is going to show a 'big' increase. Thats how they sell their product if it added 1hp i doubt they would sell it at all. Since this is pretty much a video game forum i doubt id see anyone who knows something about cars. Just a bunch of kids into video games too much.
