Makeshift Shuffle - No Tuning RacesOpen

We will miss those who cannot make it.
(And hope that all necessary safety precautions are taken in storming the castle science projects. :odd: )

Okay so here's the agenda:

Race #1: 1 laps @ Special Stage Route X (07:00/60) // Aston Martin Vanquish '04
Race #2: 3 laps @ Cape Ring Periphery // Luxury
Race #3: 3 laps @ Grand Valley Speedway // Luxury
Race #4: 1 laps @ Circuit de la Sarthe no chicanes // Vintage
Race #5: 3 laps @ Clubman SSR 5 Reverse // Vintage
Race #6: 3 laps @ Madrid Mini Reverse // Low Power
Race #7: 3 laps @ Trial Mountain // Low Power
Race #8: 1 laps @ Nürburgring Nordschleife (12:00/35) (20/50/20) // Legends

We will DEFAULT to the VINTAGE list, in the event someone shows up to race unprepared with the correct list, as by this time, I think everyone has the Vintage list.

EDIT:
Also I do have partially created event agendas started for future events. I just haven't had time to organize & post them.
Also, I think I have enough data to order the Traffic List, I just haven't had a chance to organize & tabulate everything.
Thanks to everyone who has helped though, we should be able to use that list soon. 👍 So definitely pick up those cars at the dealerships.

My cold is definitely diminishing finally. So maybe I can get back on top of things this weekend & this week. :)

Apologies for my lag, etc.

I hope the lag did not interfere with racing, I stopped as soon as I noticed it was going bad.

It was probably for the best anyway, I really felt my concentration lapsing because of being ill.

Good races everyone. :) 👍

@LongbowX = hope we both shake this crapola soon! :grumpy:

That race at Cape Ring Periphery was more fun than I thought it would be! Perhaps an underrated underused track! I can't believe I haven't raced that track much. I wonder why.

But yeah my nose started acting up again toward the end.

I do have a pile of results for the past 2 weeks piling up. Sorry about that. We'll get back on track.
And I do also have itinerary drafts.
Will post it all soon.

And we'll get an order together for the Traffic List so hopefully we can add that in by next week. 👍

Also, we're working on more lists.
www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/time-trial-testing-mixer-makeshift-shuffle.295260/

And I definitely plan to use at least 3 lists per session at least, because it really spices it up I think. There's less chance of anyone getting the same car twice in a session, which is, I think, sometimes disappointing when it happens, because we're all about the variety, are we not? ;)

Also, @BrandonW77 is hosting the VCRC race tomorrow. 👍
And for the next couple of weeks probably until I get some real life relief. :ouch:

So excuse me while I sneeze some more. :irked:
And I'll get the stuff posted as I can...

Okay here's the traffic list:

Traffic
  1. Chrysler PT Cruiser '00
  2. Eagle Talon Esi '97
  3. Alfa Romeo 147 TI 2.0 TWIN SPARK '06
  4. Infiniti G20 '90
  5. Volkswagen Golf IV GTI '01
  6. Lexus IS 200 '98
  7. Chevrolet SSR '03
  8. Peugeot 307 XSi '04
  9. BMW 120i '04
  10. Abarth Grande Punto '09
  11. Toyota CELICA SS-II (ST202) '97
  12. Pontiac Vibe GT '03
  13. Mini COOPER S '07
  14. Toyota Tacoma X-Runner '04
  15. Seat Ibiza Cupra '04
Comfort Soft Tires

Notice, I cut the Strange Rover, because of bitter (and justifiable) objections.

Edit:
Also notice that some of these cars were on the original "Commuter" list, so some of you will have many of them.

I've got the prices.
But I still need the PP after oil change, the top speed, and if they hit the limiter or not at top speed. So if anyone can help out with that stuff, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Yeah well I always stink at Silverstone whatever... But I think Silverstone Stowe is actually the configuration I find least offensive. But I'm trying to figure out why, good gravy, I had decided we should race the Legends list there. :boggled: I mean it's not as bad as putting the Luxury cars at London Reverse of course... but still, probably not the best combo - may have been an error. :odd:
So yeah, I must've blocked it out.

BTW: If anyone ever sees a scheduled list/track combo that looks suspicious or peculiarly inappropriate :odd: - don't be afraid to ask about it. You know, like Daytona Super Speedway but it's not a 1-make. Or Low Power list at Matterhorn Riffelsee.
It could totally be an oversight/mistake/typo. I sometimes I shift the tracks around copying & pasting when I'm making the schedule, and might actually forget to adjust everything.
There's no reason we should ever have to race the Luxury cars at Matterhorn Short Track because of a copy/paste typo.

Anyhow, Post #2 has been updated with Saturday's coming agenda.

It was extremely wet too. And I think Stowe is the Silverstone layout I find most offensive, haha.

I think we run too many strange car/track combos so we'll never be able to tell if any particular combo "makes no sense". :P

Well yes, I mean I do try to keep things interesting. But it wouldn't hurt to ask. Then I'll just say, "yeah that's the interesting combo for this session."
In other words, I do try to put at least 1 particularly challenging or peculiar race in each session.
Sort of a wild card! :sly:
I also try to put at least 1 race in each session that's likely to be more or less a little more boring.
Just to keep things on an even keel.
Because I noticed in the past if every race is a bit too exciting, things get kind of tense, and I think that can lead to some people having an off-putting time, and a step in the wrong direction. So I try to slow the tempo a bit somewhere in the session to give people a chance to relax a bit more.

Note: If you joined this league right at the beginning, you likely already have some of these cars because they were used in the preliminary list called "Commuter Cars".

Under 400,000 cr. with oil changes.
Most of these cars come with comfort soft tires.
(If anyone wants to let me know which ones don't, I'll mark it here.)

There usually is room but if you want to join be sure to read the first 3 posts so we can limit confusion. Be sure to ask the boss if you can join though as I am not going to speak for her.

Also you are going to have to get a large amount of cars and its going to cost you several million credits. It's worth it though. I'll tell you I've never raced all of the vehicles in the shuffle lists.

Welcome!

Always check post #2, and that's the scheduled agenda - and have the car lists ready that you will need.

And in particular... I expect everyone new to this to read carefully the RACE PROCEDURES and most especially the RULES section of post #1. Particularly if you're new to GTPlanet & organized racing.

This is very important.

For example, if your driving is very problematic regarding rule violations you will receive post race penalties, you could be put on probation (where your races will be reviewed closely), or banned if it's excessive, and if it's disruptive in the session, you may even be KICKED from the lobby.
... so it's important you understand the track rules ahead of time.

If you're having trouble understanding anything please ask here in the forum thread!

That way myself & regulars can help you out in understanding what's expected & how it works BEFORE you get in the lobby... where we keep a tight schedule and strict track etiquette, in order to get in as much racing as possible!

You really need the lists in front of you to see which model car you need to get in the track, and in a timely fashion.

We understand that the first time you participate, the system may seem a bit confusing at first. But like anything else, once you get the hang of it, it's quite easy and natural. So don't be afraid to ask for clarification or assistance... but know that you really need to review the race procedure to get the idea of the system, and have the lists in front of you, to be able to participate.

Did I mention having the lists in front of you while racing? ;)

So I finally completed my up-to-date "Which cars have I driven and how much?" list.
