OK I see. Good. It's been awhile since I've been in a full room with chat. Just making sure. Thanks guys.

Is there some kind of rules ? Because 16 players is going to be really disturbing if everybody can chat.

Maybe a pish to chat system would be better. Like a push only to say " name on your right/left "

No chatting about how your work was today during race kind of rule. Or am I too serious ? ^^

You can't always look left/right while fully braking. Especially in the first laps there is chaos without chat. Of course restricted to what is going on on track e.g. telling someone "be aware I'm direct behind you to and I'm 1 lap ahead". This is important. Otherwise it will cause unnecessary accidents

I don't see anything wrong with chat as long as your not bothering or distracting other drivers. We're all adults so I think we all know when to much is to much. Like in recent vids of the gentleman's club races. They are very respectful of there team mates but still have some laughs. I respect everyone here and we're here to have fun and I would not want to ruin that for anybody. So I think if we race with that in mind, and respect your fellow drivers we will be fine. Talking about how your wife or spouse beat you for spending no time with them since release is not acceptable behavior.

I have no issues with chat. I think warning someone that you are passing them what side you're on, or giving someone passing you that they are all clear, is a good thing long as they don't try to move over on you.
And please make sure we practice what's right and what's left. I can see it now, "IM ON YOUR RIGHT......... I MEAN LEFT". CRASH. To late :sly:
I wish there was one to. They need a spotter system. Hopefully in the future they can add one. Iracing's is perfect.

Those videos are really fun to watch. They have a blast and even contacts are taken as a race possibility and not just totally prohibited

You don't get drivers talking to each other on real life. Why should a racing sim be any different?

Yep. I really look forward to more of there videos. There is one guy on the team that really gives some guy name Pete hell man. I get tickled listening to them. Funny as hell. Did you know one of there races had Pete morish from SMS racing with them and they didn't know? Or at least Yorkie 065 didn't know. That was cool. It was in one of Yorkies videos.

Maybe if we all had Morpheus ... But giving a quick look is hard in a videogame. Also competition is not of the utemost importance as I feel first season is to enjoy the new game asuch as possible sailing around the inevitable patches and modifications

That's a great topic you guys are discussing. In real life, no communication at all. This is a video game. I'll let you decide on this manner. I Will say this, no chat will equal smoother connection while Racing. Your guys call

I'd say to allow chat as in real life you can give a quick turn of the head to check a blind spot, but that's a lot harder to do in a game, especially with a steering wheel. Having party chat might make it less realistic, but it would make it cleaner and ensure that less accidental contacts are made.

Stuff like this is something we can try in a practice session, so we might as well give it a go before the actual championship to see how we get on with it.

In real life yes there is no talking among drivers. But in Sim racing there's one thing that makes it a little different in that your mistakes dont cost you a visit to the hospital. There for your more relaxed while in a Sim compared to rl. That leaves a little more room for a little chit chat. I still use my imagination and try to make it as real as possible. I believe we will do fine. As I said before, as long as we respect each other and keep it simple, I know we will be fine. Let's see how it goes and I'm sure we will adapt to each others wishes on track. If someone says "OK guys I can't focus with all this chatter" then we should respect the wishes of the individual. I just want to have fun. I used the gentleman's club in my previous post as an example of what I think is reasonable in Sim racing. Those guys are having a blast and staying focused. I'm so looking forward to this. It's going to be great. I expect a little trash talk from time to time. :P All in fun of course.

I thought the reason for this league is to meet new people and have fun ? If this is going to be all up tight then I will have to bow out . I understand alot of babble is fround on , but lets have some fun
No worries. I don't forsee that at all. We are going to have fun. You can count on that! 👍

Don't want you to leave on something like this. I doubt chat will be disabled. If we have it then why not use it.

Simple solution. Chat all you want during practice sessions. During qualifying and racing, race specific chatter only. If it isn't relavant to qualifying or racing, keep quiet. Simples.

Personally I've never used chat during races, but I'm not opposed to it. We just need to understand what should and shouldn't be said during races.

A few Questions to everyone in the Series. 1st Question: Can anyone come up with a cool logo for the Series? Add the name to the Logo. We can add the logo to team standings and solo standings.

Another question: Does anyone have excel on their computer, it'll help with the point standings. May need only 3 sections for point standings. Gt Pro, Gt Semi Pro and Team Standings. It could change though

I'll work one up at work tonight and try to post it tonight. I have excel at work but not a home so I would rather hand that off to someone else if possible.
