Keep it up!!

Man this is really gaining momentum. Should we create a channel on you tube with are league name as the channel? I can see people wanting to watch us race. Man this is getting exciting. I haven't been as active on the forums this weekend because of my honey do list I've had. It was kind of nice to take a little break because I actually had a lot to read when I popped back in gtplanet. Usually I'm waiting for people to post! Yes I'm obsessed. My wife's concerned! Lol My plan is to get her involved. Maybe I could talk her into keeping up with are books. Updating points and keeping track of standings. I'm serious about this. I'll let you guys know. Just a thought.

Lets not jump ahead of ourselves here. This started out as a fun league, lets keep it that way. At least till we get a season or two under our belt. He may be just looking to have some fun as he does this for a living. Heck if he wanted to join a more proper league wouldn't he join on the pc as that offers more online drivers? Thats my take on it.

This was a reply to Stalliono's post about Darin Gangi joining our league, I forgot to insert the quote.

You entered already for Season 1. You can still Race in Season 1. Just add your psn and gtplanet n ame

Thanks and I do really appreciate it, but as I had said before, that I couldn't commit to a solid series atm, well until the foreseeable future, but would like to book my position "if you like"( an expression) for the next season, I take it that is then possible right ?

Reason why Iam saying this is that I can see a flipping big queue occuring for the next season, which is a good thing :)

Right, I've added everyone on the list except potatoenet and spooky-wooky, they weren't recognised. Are you sure they're spelled correctly? Maybe i am tired after adding everyone..

That's what a few in here are saying. No one said this can not be fun. The more the Series gets out there. The more Drivers we have. That would be great for the 3 different skill level tiers. I just want you ALL to enjoy the Series. I will do my best to give that to you all. Either way, we'll be RACING in 3 weeks. I can not wait myself! Evrryone try and get the Series out there to fill the Spots remaining. I'm doing what ican

Maybe a few errors on my part. Just find their posts to double check

Si if i am on GT am or semipro i dont cet to choose the car ? This would make me push a little bit more.

Sorry for all the questions because I don't understand the reason behind having teams and not individual drivers.

Will we have to take over if our team leader is missing ? Is there a team championship ?

Only if your Tier Placement, you Qualify as a GT Pro Driver. Then you can pick your car. Yes, there will be a Team Championship Point Standing. Just because, for an example you didnt make GT Pro. You can still have your opinion heard. The GT Pro Driver doesn't call the shots. Your a Team of 3. You guys as a Team make decisions. Hope that answers your questions

Thanks

This put some more pressure on us slower guys for the team points.

I am so exited that my first league is on pcars with a seemingly good wheel and the most important thing : good fellow racers

I was just thinking how awesome it would be if we got 16 players in each Tier, as that way we could have two of each of the 8 gt3 cars and the larger grid size would mean a lot more battles going on throughout the race. I've done a few endurance races before with less drivers and sometimes found in the longer tracks that you can end up racing by yourself for most of the race, and although I can enjoy having to push myself to get those faster lap times it can get boring sometimes, so hopefully that doesn't happen here!

Have to promote the Series. Go to other forums. Post a link to bring them here. We have plenty of time

Hi All,

Thanks for the kind words in this thread about me joining you for this series. I would love to be part of a console racing series and yes I can race on the PC and do all the time, mainly in iRacing. I would love to get into something that I can just boot up on my console and have fun with though.

That being said.. clean, competitive racing is what I mean by fun. I joined a group that ran Forza 5 in a series and it was a mess. I was recording and planned to do a show on it and it was so bad that I scrapped the whole thing.

So, count me in if there's strict rules in place that treats this like a real racing series. If it's pick up style racing, I'll pass.

I suggest to the lead admin that drivers are placed in the tiers or groups based on being fast, clean and competitive. Have drivers work their way up the tiers to get to the top group and drop drivers down if they are a problem in the upper group. I've been admin for many leagues and have had my own and that has always created a solid backbone for the league.

WIth that in mind, I would have some test races before jumping into things to

A) Separate the drivers
B) Give PCars a good shake down

I can run on either PS4 or XBone by the way. MY PSN is DGangi11 I believe.

Hope it all works out and count me in to race in and cover it if its a quality series.

I think we are planning on doing some practice runs before we do a qualifying session that will seperate people into three tiers in terms of their speed, and as far as I'm aware we are going to be using the GTplanet rule book* which is pretty comprehensive and is very strict on ensuring clean respectable driving.

As for the other ideas you had on the league system and the promotions and relegation side of things, we've actually already thought I'd that, so we must be doing something right.

If you haven't already check out the op as that has most of the information you need to know.

Good idea about moving the drivers up and down depending on performance. A lot can change between initial qualifying runs and a couple of races into the season when everyone get's comfortable with the physics.
12 Drivers to a Room should be good. Having 2 Tiers, kills what i want to do. Having 3 Tiers helps everyone. GT Pro will Race in one lobby. Some with the other 2 tiers.

I hate to belabour the point, but if you only have 12 registered, expect 8-10 to actually make it to the race, and later on in the series don't be surprised if you only have 5 or 6 show up for some events. Unlike a real life racing series, other things in life take priority and it's inevitable people will be called into work, have emergencies come up, get sick, weddings, funerals etc.

Darin,

Thank You for your interested in the Series. I actually posted something about the Tier Competition. The 2 last Place Drivers from GT Pro Tier, would drop down to GT Semi Pro. Vis visual with, the top 2 places in GT Semi Pro. They would move to GT Pro.

I want this Series to be fun, Competitive, but have that addictive feel to it. No one wants Second, the best saying from Dale Earnhardt (2nd is the 1st Loser) This just isn't a pick up League or Series. I want this Series to go on many Seasons. We will have a strict system when it comes to clean Racing. Penalty Points will be given out depending on the incident

If this Series you feel can take charge. I'd love for the Series to be mentioned in your Youtube Channel. Running a Series is a tough thing to do. It's not eazy, pleasing everyone. Some will agree with you and otherz won't agree with you. Again, i Thank You for your interest in the Series. I will add you to the main list. It'll be A pleasure Racing with you in the Series.

Hi Darin and welcome. I love your idea of moving people up and down through the tiers to keep things balanced.
I remember learning while playing Forza. Just because someone can put up a fast time hot lapping, does not mean they will be the fastest with others on the track.

Tomorrow I will go through the list and make sure I ad everyone to my psn account. So look for friend request david_killem_all. And I don't mind if you real name request me. 23 days to go. We'll for some of us.

Hi there , I notice I have sadly missed the boat for the championship. Would it be possible to be put on the reserve list for this please?

Yep i have seen it time and time again
