Someone just made an interesting point to me in private. Yesterday it was mentioned that the bottom 2 drivers of tier 1 and 2 drop down a tier while the top 2 drivers move up. This really won't work during the season. What team would the drivers switch to if the 4 drivers are all on different teams? Only if the 4 drivers are from the same 2 teams will this work. Hope how I worded this makes sense.
After the Season this will happen. We'll have different teammates every Season. It's been on the 1st page for while now. New Driver Entries will Qualify for Tier placement.

That would be a good question to ask Darien. But I think stalliono right. That's the only way I see it working.

Quick question. What is the most exciting aspect of racing in a league for you personally. Is it the racing? (Of coarse) the laughs, The socially exceptable smack talk. (Keep it clean we don't want to offend anyone). Or is the child hood fantasy of being a race car driver and we know this is the closest thing to it. For me it's all the above. Being apart of something that grabs at your amagination and let's it run wild. I see great things and good times this season. It will be the one thing that keeps us coming back season after season. Thanks stalliono for creating this great league we all can come to and enjoy. And Darien, if your reading we really appreciate you coming aboard. I really look forward to racing with you and learning what ever wisdom you wish to pass along. I've been a fan for along time now. As a matter of fact, I've been looking quite a bit at your diy vids putting together some ideas for my own. Thanks guys and really look forward to racing with all of you.👍

I have the same reasons to do this but i do racing every now and then ( rallye raid ) and trackdays regularly.

O cool so you do the real deal. If I had the money, I would definitely get into racing. But for now this and project Cars scratches the itch. Thanks for sharing!👍

I ordered my wheel a couple of weeks ago and it still isn't due to arrive for another week or two, think amazon are saying it might even come as late as the release date for project cars. Hopefully there's nothing wrong with it, not sure I'll want to play project cars if I'm waiting to play with a wheel haha.

fffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu... mine is in "preparation" for the last two days and i check it hourly.

I could not wait for weeks

Great Question. For me joining a league is all about meeting new people and making friends. Yes I love to race, and I am competitive by nature. But its the social aspect. As I mentioned I'm disabled and my living conditions limit my contact with the rest of the world. But online my contacts are limitless.
Can't wait till the green flag drops.

For me it is mostly the competitive part. Pushing each other every race with the same people. Investing the extra hour of tuning/practicing when you were 10 seconds behind your "rival" in the race before. Also, of course the feeling when you win (or at least reach the podium) after 1-2 hours of intense driving. And last but not least, the 6° C cold beer after the race and the discussion what happened on track.

I hope to keep you very busy tuning :gtpflag:

Everything looks like it's coming together great! It's going to be tough going back to a controller after ive been playing pcars with a wheel(Dfgt). It feels so right. Hope I come bite on the t300 within the next few months.

I'm glad for you in that I know the limitations that you guys have to adapt to. Working all the fundraisers with my stepfather every year reminds me not to take for granted my good health. My heart goes out to you and all that suffers from md. But I can Tell you this. Those kids and adults we help every year have more determination than anybody I know. Which worries me just how much I'm going to being seeing you in front of me instead of my rear view mirror. So take it easy on us please.

I'm hoping that I get put into a team with people who actually know how to tune, I know less than the basics of tuning and by the end of this championship I want to be able to help create track specific tunes with the team I'm with rather than just relying on my teammates.
+1

I have a feeling that the cars will be quite good right out of the box. Getting a fast lap time has more to do with knowing the track than having a perfectly tuned car. With tuning a car you are looking to shave fractions of a second off your lap times.

From my limited experience with GT, patience is key. If you practice with patience you will see the times go down.

Tuning is a bitch as each person has different taste. Some will be more comfortable with understeer heavy cars and other would rather counter steer each turn than wait for the front to grip.

True, but those fractions of seconds can be the difference between the 1st and second row in qualifying, and over a long race those fractions of seconds can end up being worth more than a few seconds. I'm not saying that having a perfectly tuned car is going to get you from the middle of the grid to first, but it could be enough to help you beat your closest competitors.
