How do you guys get around the ''pit stop bug'' in an endurance series?

Asking because our league is on hold untill PD fixes all these bugs.
The slower laps times everyone has to deal so it's still even for all, and the no tire option was either fixed or can be avoided by letting off the gas before the ai takes your car over. If there is another, I have not seen it.

That's what I meant earlier when I said the graph is different for each tune. Looking at both pics, at around 6500ish rpm, roughly the 2nd to last vertical line, the first pic torque seems to be about 1/4 of the way down from peak, so about 250 torque. The second pic, appears almost half way down from peak at 6500, so about 200 torque.
Ok, well I'm gonna pound out some laps on your idea right now. You tend to be right on these things, so I need to find those 3/10s.

Like mirado stated, IMHO its not really an issue, yes your tires wear faster and you are a bit slower but EVERYONE has the same issue so its not that big of a deal. It would be one thing if this only happened to random people in the race. I have yet to figure out why other endurance series have been put on hold because of this.

GGG, before anything else, each gear should cover the maximum amount of hp torque as an average, available. The big even hill example I posted, again is just a basic concept, as the rx7s "hill" is far from even. Looking at the pics and refreshing memory, realising how quickly the rx7 gains hp which then doesnt drop, and the torque peak being such a low peak, essentially 1st gear will be the only gear peak torque is obtained, especially with the very long 1st, and very very tight gears I have tuned thereafter. Shifting at around 6750.

We haven't encountered anything besides the less grip less mpg on second stint and thereafter.

Interesting that you find this bug not effecting your races especialy for an endurance series.

After the pit stop the lap times are more then 2 sec slower. Higher wear of rear tyres(before pit stop front tyres are wearing more). On the straights top speed is 5 kmh lower.

In our first endurance race we had, our fastest driver was leading the race for about 8 sec in front of me. Race lenght was 33 laps. He pitted at lap 14 while I pitted on lap 22. I came out 12 sec infront of him. I gained 19 sec by pitting 8 laps later, on worn tyres! :odd: As you know it's impossible to gain time on worn tyres in racing. At least that was the case in GT5.

So I can't see how it's the same for everyone in this case. It's far from it imo.

So we decided in our GTF forum and Pure series in this forum there is no way we can do endurance races untill PD gets around these issues.

Hopefully PD will sort this out in the next update.

How long you can push that 1st stint is part of the new strategy lol. But yes hopefully they will fix it soon.

for that, yes that is a problem, but we are running with very fast wear settings, longer races, usually 4 pit stops, everyone ideally runs their first set for as long as possible, with this, you can see how it doesn't effect much.

If I abuse my first set of tires/fuel then its my fault for having to pit early thus loosing the advantage of having potential faster times in the first stint. Also depends on the track and car you are using. I have been in races were my times were just as fast in the second set of tires although they did wear faster. Again, we all know about this "bug" and deal with it in our own pit strategies

My opinion its something everyone should start getting used to or just no do it at all, fore I fear this will never be fixed :(

I think most of the online bugs will be fixed when we get the ''big online update'' with all the promised features in the online community.

But yes, for now nothing is guaranteed.

As I understand we are getting a whole new online version in GT6, something like a 2.0 version. With many more features then we got in GT5.

I think all or most of the bugs will be fixed with the new version. Let's hope that is the case.

Please drop me down to the alternates to free up a spot. Its my own fault for picking the BRZ and its just too far off the pace (even more so with the new regulations). That and Jonny's 🤬 music killing my ears tonight was just the tipping point for me. Sorry guys

id like to keep you on the main roster, but i will put you on the alt. list. that idiot blaring his music on purpose was really getting on my (everyones nerves) as for the brz, i will try some tests n see what i can do...

Good race tonight guys, once again we were plauged with disconnects...
I will update the season point standings and post the weekly race results tomorrow (wednesday) when i wake up.

Don't worry about it. I knew the rules when I signed up
We were hoping it was going to give an even playing field, but its still about 1.2 seconds off for the brz, I think it needs about 335hp 1180kg, maybe the sti needs more too. Havent driven that one.

Hello mlbguy4life. Like I had told you when I did my inscription, I have some business trips during the year... Unfortunately, I will not be able to participate in the next three events, but ready to go back to Willow Springs if you are OK with that. Thanks!

Yesterday's race I didn't get the Pit Options screen not even once.
Anyone else?
worked fine for me

that is fine...thanks for the heads up, see you when you get back

Hello mlbguy4life, I have a question for you... I was participating in a 60 laps race in Tsukuba, and all the cars that were overlapped by the leader, changed to "ghosts" cars. If I well remember, the race that we did over there, the cars (even the overlapped) they keep "solid" during all the race. What we need to do to get that?

Sounds like connection problems or something, there is no settings to maKe it one way or the other .
It's weird... The connection was good. The 11 drivers that started the race keep connected until the end. The only difference was in penalty setting: MLB have defined as "none" and the room where I ran was set to "light" penalty

I believe it has to do with the penalty system. Possibly intentional, in a practice room I was in last night had the same thing happen. One guy was having some RL issues and he came back before the race finished and was ghosted after being lapped. We run light penalties over at SNAIL.
