Anyone have any times for Laguna Seca? I'm at 1:21.1 still trying to get the Supra dialed in properly.

Is there anything one can do to help keep tires warm? Getting to start on perfectly warm tires has made me realize just how cold the tires stay on this car, especially the rears.

considering it is bugged I imagine adding camber to the rear would help warm them up haha

HA I actually tried that, it made it worse somehow. Some extra downforce helped a little, but not enough to offset the top speed loss on the long straights.

in all seriousness I would try adding as little roll bar strength in the rear as possible . no rear toe. soft suspension all the way around with a strong front roll bar

No rear toe might be scary, but I'll give it a shot tonight and see what happens.
Do you use the springs or the LSD to offset the lack of turn in on a setup like that? Or something else perhaps?

oh and get on that throttle a lot :P

As much as I can, it'll spin em up to 4th if I don't watch it. Might actually try a lower torque setup too.

the LSD would need adjustment for sure , the throttle is what would be needed for turnintg on the set up like that. but it should throw a lot of weight on to those rear wheels . it's just an idea as I haven't been able to be at Laguna yet

I have to disagree with this part. The accell lsd has an optimum number on every car that should never be changed once you find it. Can possibly need adjustment if you change your power tuning.

It only controls inside vs outside wheelspin. Most cars can be set to eliminate any differences, but quite a few race cars you will have to decide which tire you want to lose grip 1st. I run inside tire spins 1st in these situations (RX7 is a good example)

Unless, you are suggesting that those suspension changes will throw the weight around so hard that there is just no way for the outside wheel to spin?

I just mean the more weight there is on a tire, the more torque that tire transfers to the ground. this is obviously the outside tire. everything is going to happen quicker, so I would raise the initial torque required to activate the LSD. again though I'm no expert haha

just to be clear my thinking on that scenario is if the initial torque setting is too low the inside wheel is going to spend way too soon

I think I get what you're saying, Im not afraid to test anything. I'll check this out as well.

Ok @ParkerMO125, you are no longer allowed to claim you are not an expert.
I softened everything up about 25%, stiffened the front arb, took 1 point out of initial lsd, and 1 point out decel. And bam tires stay almost perfectly warm for the whole stint. It even evened up the tire wear between the front and rear.
I'm not sure how it effects lap times yet, as I may have had a few too many to drink last night, but this is looking very promising. Thanks a ton for your insight!

it should get you quicker times as well, although there are a few flat corners, the circuit as you know for the most part is very much elevated, the softer suspension in general should help glide that car around the track t

Ok I just started trying to figure out this nightmare of a track, and I must beg that we do light damage this week. The laps are just too long if you screw up early (or anywhere really) in a lap.

i do not mind if we use light damage this week, or any week for that matter, in theory heavy damage was a good idea, but its to tedious. The amount of contact that it takes to get damage on light should stay the same and you should have to pit to fix it, thats what heavy should be like. While im thinking about it, the only reason we dont use the games penalty system is because it creates ghost cars, if the game would just dock your total overall race time because of bumping cars or going off track or whatever without creating ghost cars, i would be all over it.

PS: I love the nurb
