If you are unfamiliar with our weekly MNR events, please, fully read the top post. It should answer most of your questions.
Hey, sorry I couldn't make it to the race. I spectated a bit of Yamagiwa, looked challenging!

Maybe next one. Thanks for the add and invite.

That's the whole point of MNR, to challenge the driver in a fair way, so that we stay sharp and can improve our skills.

Please join us whenever you can. Hundreds of GTP members watch this thread each month, but there is still room in our lobbies for more. A full lobby is better.

Monday Night Racing

March 3 @ 7:30 P.M. Eastern

Car: Peugeot 205 GTI 1988, 128 HP, 1929 lbs, Tires = Comfort Hard, (Target PP = 350.05)

Add the FC Suspension, Differential, Manual Transmission. The Steering Adapter will be really useful at Willow Springs.

This is the type of car and these are the type of races that we need to test our skills. For example, there is Heartbreak Hill grid start, can you pass without contact, how well can you judge braking zones, or control braking and understeer? It would be really wise to practice against the AI drivers, and to have a good tune.

Tracks & Conditions, (Laps)
Miyabi, Tires = 50X Fuel = 7X, (17)
Maggiore East End, Tires = 50X Fuel=15X, (15)
Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile, Tires = 50X Fuel = 17X, (14)

Please join in on our weekly fun.

Don't hit what you can see. [SCCA rulebook]

Hi mate, did your clocks go forward?, meaning there's only a 4hr gap bst rather than the usual 5hrs?.
So starting 2330 instead of 0030.

Group 4 cars don't need Racing tires, so we use SS in GT7. In Sport we used Sport Mediums. Plenty of grip in both cases.

And the PP is in a range for cars with downforce. 617 was the maximum that I found.

Just a guess but it comes with racing hard tires, the specs for the race are with sports soft tires. That's enough to lower it to I believe

If I don't have this car do u have a substitute we can use?.

Hi master sorry for yet another edit lol, but u did say best not come unprepared dun dun duuun.
I've tried reaching your pp but can only reach 866.75 even after adding a R-Transmission and medium-rpm turbocharger, I'll remove if not allowed.
Am I missing something?.

I posted my settings on the PSN message thread. The turbo-charger is not necessary. Off the top of my head, the only difference should be downforce, tires, and transmission. My downforce is not maxed out because the car didn't handle well that way.

You were lucky to get the car.

It's in legendary now if anyone needs it.

They were some challenging (but still fun) races. That Nissan is an absolute beast!

I jumped in on a whim, and it turned out better than I expected: NOT DEAD LAST. :)

I love the word challenging. We become better drivers by raising the bar, by pushing our limits.

Thank you for accepting these challenges.

It took a lot of courage to jump in with B, A and A+ drivers, finding that I can keep up for the most part.

Finding that courage was a success in itself. I hadn't done anything other than the daily races and occasional championship series prior to finding you guys on here (& the G*z*rs)

First time I was lapped on Monday lol, really struggled with the setting couldn't sort the understeer but live and learn.

This group was created to help drivers just like you - off-line drivers wanting to race against other clean drivers, to gain confidence and experience, to learn better techniques and tuning skills.

Love this group, it's given me the confidence to move to MT, even if it's only Gr4's at the mo that's progress, baby steps and all that, the MNR's will be a chance to use MT as the vintage cars will have a slower shift gap.
