montoya got the pole?

Montoya and... Coulthard? what the??? did he receive some talent during the night? :reallyodd

but nothing matters, as we know they'll have to get out of Schumacher's way on Sunday...

this is the course some of the guys in the gt3 forum gripe over. easier than rome, to me.

well, i do have abc, so i gues i can see some of it with the spectacular pit reporting of jason prissy-sissy

nope, but Formula 1's a joke since the addition of the grooved tires and traction control, and the auto boxes...

it's just not what Formula 1 used to be in the 70s and the 80s...

montoya's pole is good timing. abc might pull in a few more viewers.

they're banking on prestige. i dunno if that is enough to make up for the miniscule passing, guess they figure the monaco fans are abundant. i like the course, but i dunno if there are enough monaco fans to make up for the new observer that changes the channel from boredeom. i doubt it.

I was following qualifying on the web (since the local coverage doesn't see fit to provide it for us!) and I have to say that was a fantastic qualifying session - there were so many changes in the last 10 minutes!

i would have never thought of mon. as a track suited to him.

interesting.

Why wouldn't you think the track suited him? Didn't he leave the American CART series to come to F1 to race? Seeing as a lot of CART races are on street circuits, I would have though it was exactly his kind of track (and obviously was seeing as he qualified first).

I am not even a Montoya fan. Nothing personl, just, like I said, never paid attention to CART, so I developed no real admiration for Juan.

That was a great race - how good was it when Massa drove Bernoldi off the road - priceless!!

I was really annoyed about that (being an Arrows fan), and I thought Bernoldi drove really well (for the second year running).

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Massa drive at Silverstone - I'd love to hear his throttle use and to see his style close up.
