Mopar,Dodge,etc...

i like the stealth. and the 300gt is phat, but the new one is uggggly. as for the talon, i like it as well. i remember when it first came out, seeing those commercials about its "manual auto" tranny. that was pretty kewl

yea, it was an auto tranny. but if you pulled the stick back further, there was a plus and minus sign on the sides, and you could shift up or down as you saw fit. i forget wut its called. i'll find a popsci i have that talks about it...

ok the system is a manually shifted automatic, and its called Autostick or Tiptronic (maybe a few other names). its still an auto, except you can choose the gears it goes in. This is not like the new systems found in the MR2 and Modena Spyder F1 which is called "sequential manual transmission" which is actually a manual tranny and all clutchwork etc is done by a computer, and you shift via paddles on wheel or buttons.

i know am going to get a lot of stick about this but i have to say it. vipers are slow compared to european cars. i saw a jeremy clarkson video once where he set up a drag race between a:

TVR Cerbera
Porsche 911
Lotus Esprit Turbo
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Caterham Super Light
Viper GTS

any way the TVR won it and the Viper came last. i mean even the 1.8 Rover engine powered Caterham beat it. dont get me wrong i am a fan of the Viper but i cant believe how badly it got whipped in a straight line.
