More PC problems

OK just D/L the adaware program and had a play around with it. It managed to find some old files that I didnt need (I think) and it removed them for me. I still get the error message though when I open control panel or my documents.
Its sooo annoying - Open control panel when Im offline and I cna open it no problem, open it when Im on-line then after 3 seconds of opening it windows just seems to close it for me.

Well Ive had enough for tonight and Im off to sleep now but feel free to add your coments as to why my PC is doing this, and any help I get or comments about what to do is and are greatly appreciated as I really dont have a clue about this kind of thing.

Get a windows update with IE 6.
I am an AOL broadband user on win2k also...latest service pack installed, fully firewalled, ad-aware/norton you name it . Don't waste money taking it to a shop, look around the net and solve it yourself that's what I always do You'd be surprised what you can learn.

Lotus, You do know that AOL will bypass your firewall, don't you? It uses totally different means of connection than any other ISP. AOL sucks. I'm sooo glad we not only got rid of it, but also got DSL.

Well we've had our PC for over 3 years now and have always used AOL first 56k and now BB, we have never had any serious issues with it because of AOL, and I don't care which means of connection it uses so long as it gets me online, why would I want my firewall to block my ISP anyway?
And besides I don't actually pay a penny for AOL ...my mum does so who am I to complain?

well I d/l the adaware program the other day and I havent really noticed it but the iexplorer problems seem to have gone away! Ive been on-line for long periods at a time and I havent had to screw around waiting for it to shut itself down and restart !
