Right now, the F430 still has some trouble trying to touch the Gallardo. After this, I doubt the F430 can touch it.

AND I'm sure after the Murcielago gets its upgrades, the Enzo may not be able touch it.
I completely dissagre with both these comments. Firstly the only F43 v Gallard review I've seen had the F430 as the clear winner both overall and in terms of performance.

Seconidly, I would expect the upgraded Murcielao to be close to the likes of the Carrera GT in performance, which is still behnd the Enzo performance wise. The Enzo has had far more performance testing and development than any Lambo road car ever will.

Someone must have not seen what else is going on.

There's more than power being upgraded here.

Both vehicles are also getting some other upgrades.\

Lamborghini is in a league of its own. Although without Ferrari, there would be no Lamborghini (don't even try to argue that point).

B/c of Enzo being a smartarse, he brought a new company on himself. The Enzo is perfect, and is gaining a fanbase faster than McLaren.

It may be perfect to some, but being perfect doesn't make you the best all the time. B/c even those that aren't perfect are sometimes better choices.

Ok, so even if C.GT is behind the Enzo in most terms, then who is it that holds the record for the 'Ring? Not the Enzo.

How is Lambo in a league of its own? It hasn't really had anything to compete with Ferrari in the past 15-20 years or so.

This doesn't make sense... being perfect doesn't make you the best? Well, then it's not perfect is it... but it is the best. :D

Who, then, has a factory very close to the Nurburgring and has a contracted test driver who drives the Ring every day? Walter Rorhl... it would be like comparing Sabine against Clarkson, the test Top Gear did. Sabine drives every day. In the same car, she was faster than Clarkson (obviously). If you have two similarly performing cars, the faster driver will always win...

Ok, a lot of people think the Enzo is perfect. But if its perfect, then why is it not the 'Ring record holder?

I was comparing the Enzo to C. GT b/c live said, the C. GT doesn't stand up to the Enzo. If so, then why does someone else hold the 'Ring's record?

Yes, it is.
It's called the Diablo GTR series.

The Diablo probably holds it's record for the shear power of the thing. It probably won't corner as fast as the Enzo or Carrera but it will make up lost time on the straights. And there's lots on Nurburgring.

And the only way to sort out the battle between F430 and 600hp Gallardo is the Top Gear test track. Fastest one wins.

McLaren F1GTR, the Enzo doesn't hold a recored time at the ring becaues it's not got a time at the ring. I do believe one was taken there once by a magazine and they were thinking it would damage the front of the car too much than they'd like to pay for with it being set so low and stiff like a race car, theres no doubt the the Enzo is a faster car. You only need to look at TopGears test track where the Enzo beat both the Carrera GT and McLaren SLR's lap times, and thats a short track, think of the difference on a tack as much longer as the ring is and then factor in the higher speds the cars would get to, couple that with the Enzo's faster acceleration and speed and ladies and gentlemen we have a winner. The only car to beat the Enzo round TopGears test track is the Renalut R24-07 F1 which got under a minuet, but thats a Formula 1 car.

Its great to hear that teh Gallardo is getting a bigger engine, the current one is pretty wussy for a Lambo'.

Wussy for a Lambo, how so, it's more powerful than the Diablo was?

It will have the same engine. Just more power.

Er... for one episode it was a jet plane. :) It done the lap in 30-something seconds.

It was a stunt jet, hence my comment "The only CAR to beat the Enzo...."

Well said, live4speed 👍
Being Italian, I love both Ferrari and Lamborghini (yes, I know - Lamborghini is not 'Italian' anymore - spare me another discussion about it - but it's still made in Italy and a lot of the designers and engineers that work for it are still Italian)
Loving both cars, I really do not care who wins over who... At the end it's only a matter of personal taste.

But if the Enzo can only be beat by an F1 car (and a jet plane - duh - what car could keep up with a jet? ;)) then that means these new Lambos won't be able to keep up with the 'Cavallino Rampante' either :D

I'm glad i found this out before i bought my matching pair of a black Gallardo and Murcielago. Phew.

LOL! :D

Yeah, you wouldn't definitely want to buy yourself a couple of those knowing that they would have less horses than the new models, now would you? ;) :sly:

I can't wait for when they come out - I have a couple of spared dollars saved in my bank - do you think that would be enough money :scared:

D@mn, I might not make it - I must hold off GT4 for a little longer, I might need the extra 50 dollars for the cars :D

Really, cos I've already got my matching pair, I got them last year ya know to keep up with the current models ect, but when these two come out I'll just get another pair. It's only money eh ;).

By the way, are Diablo, Gallardo, and Murcielago also Italian words? Otherwise, Lamborghini has a weird pattern of choosing Spanish names...

I know why the Murcielago was called the Murcielago, I think Diablo means Devil in Italian, at least thats what I've read before. and I don't know about Gallardo.

No, they are not Italian words, I guarantee you that 👍
How do I know? I was born and raised in Italy for 24 out of my 24 year long life :D

Just did a quick search on Google, found me a Spanish-English translator, and here is what I got:

Spanish - English - Italian
Diablo - Devil, Demon - Diavolo, Demone
Gallardo - Elegant, Graceful / Brave, Valiant - Elegante, Grazioso / Coraggioso, Valente
Murcielago - Bat (?) - Pipistrello (?)

The latter doesn't really make sense, if it is meant to be a perfect translation from Spanish...

So, if live4speed doesn't mind to shed some light on the meaning of Murcielago, since he said he knows, I would really like to know 👍

Murcielago was the name of a famous Bull that was in Spanish bull fights, it was famous for a fight in 1879 in which the bull was spared and the Murcielago was named after that bull.

I found this link which has a little more info on it.
http://www.carpages.co.uk/lamborghi...part2_02_11_02.asp?switched=on&echo=414551058

And from another site http://www.italiancar.com.au/pilot/feature001.htm.
"Murcielago (pronounced 'moor-see-EL-ago') means 'bat' in Spanish and is named not after Adam West's character but after a particularly courageous bull whose life was spared by the famous matador Rafael Molina 'Lagartijo' in 1879. Lamborghini traditionally names its cars after bulls or people or things connected with bullfighting - Murcielago the bull was ultimately sold to the breeder Don Antonio Miura - inspiration for another Lamborghini model, and of course the Lamborghini symbol itself is a roaring bull."

UH, every Lamborghini besides the 350GTV, 350GT, 400GT, 450GT, and Countach were named after the best bull in each generation in a herd.

And the Muira, that was named after a breeder. It makes sence since the logo is a bull.
