I have no idea what kind of brainstorming session was involved when choosing premium cars.
What they should have done.
Chosen the car brands current sports car lineup
Chose the cars that made the brand famous in the first place.
WHY DIDNT THEY DO THIS?
They were on the right track with GT4. How did they mess this up with GT5? Why did a Prius have priority over say, a current E63 AMG? Did Toyota's marketing have that much power over PD? (Oddly enough why is the Prius given so much spot light in GT5?)
We have massive holes in the current lineup (Ford's lineup was completely ignored), yet we get Prius and CR-Z (why is there a CR-Z advertisement for a screensaver in the main menu?) marketing drivel hurled like they are the second coming of the sports car.

I think this should be more of a group discussion than a simple list with votes. And it should wait 'till after release.

That should wait till after release. We can then confirm or deny the theories about RDK and so on having nerfed copies of GT5, draw up a petition detailing exactly what we want from GT5 DLC and beyond, and then flesh out the requests presented therein. That will include tracks, I'm sure, but not done in this manner (voting for most-wanted tracks).
