i dont know wht im doing wrong, but i only manage second at monza with 550pp. my laps are between the 1.46 and 1.48. my first lap though is usually 1.50.

right now my money maker is still the nurburgring with the dtm seasonal. im at 469pp, no aero, max 200kg ballast and hp limited at 297 i believe. i have my top speed at around 230 kmh. with 200% login bonus im making a little over 2.825.000, which is not that much considering the pp difference. i can still lower it, but i think its pretty close to the limit for my skills. still, the car is fun to drive and i like the circuit, so at least its a fun 10+ minutes spend, unlike the monza nascar, hideous cars and boring track. but that pay out seems so nice...

That's a great method!

thanx.

whats actually really great about it is that its a lot of fun to do. its not like most money makers where you race with cars yhou dont like or boring tracks, this car is great and the track is just awesome to drive at. the pay out while not the biggest, is still enough to reach cap in 7 times.

I understand

i tried monza nascar, kept getting second at 550 pp.

whats weird is this event gives more money for less pp difference. from 650 to 560 gives you 5 mil+, while dtm from 590 to below 470 only gives 2.8 + even though its more than 120 pp less (more than 20 pp less compared to nascar).

5 laps vs 7 could be a factor?

Just gave this Monza/NASCAR thing a try, and won at 560PP with 3.4mill prize. Won and second time, at 550PP with 3.8mill prize. How come there are 5mill + comments above? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I have 200% bonus btw.

Cheers

EDIT: Just noticed the "change top speed to 193mph" comment. Giving it another go now :)

EDIT: EDIT: Nope, that didn't change anything. It did feel the race was a little tougher (wasn't in first by start of lap 7), but still got 3.8mill. I'm not complaining like, just wondering :D

I can't understand how someone has said they got 5million from the Monza NASCAR seasonal based on the following posts:

That's interesting. See below:

Try the new NASCAR Seasonal, Monza.

Take any NASCAR and detune it to 550PP. In race, cut the chicanes (i know, i know, one shouldn´t cheat and i usually don´t do it but this is an exception...). you will easily end up first, mby you have to "block" the second car on the finish line because it´s faster out of the parabolica corner.

I did this and got like 3,8million cash + 350,000 exp in about 11-12 minutes (130% bonus). 2 more times and i´m at level 40, yay :)

1 person makes 3.8 million with 130% bonus at 550PP, the other one makes 3.8 million at 200% bonus. Same payout at same PP but different login bonuses. Something doesn't add up here.

The easiest way to solve this is to run it yourself and see what you get.

Nah. The easiest way is to use math.

Race wins nets you $550,600.

650PP is default. For 610PP you get double. So, 570PP will get you quadruple. 530PP would get you sextuple the Point Difference Adjustment (PDA)

The formula is (550,500*playing bonus) + (550,600 * PDA)

So, with a 530PP and a win, with 200%, you'd get (550,600 * 2) + (550,600 * 6) = 4,404,800.

Looks like you'd have to win with about 510PP to get to $5M.

550PP gets you about $3.85M according to the math.

Where is the table showing the PDA for various PP levels? The only given is the "double" value.

wow, awesome find if the formula is correct.

great formula 👍, just checked it, got 3.854.200

It's just simple maths - in this case, if 40PP difference gives you twice the prize, then 80PP difference must give you four times that.

For example, if you wanted to get not twice the prize (still talking this particular NASCAR event), but let's say, 3.12 times the prize, then:

40PP - 2.00 (because losing 40PP gives you twice the price)
x - 3.12

x = 40PP * 3.12 / 2
x = 62PP

650PP - 62PP = 588PP

So, you'd have to get down to 588PP in order to get 3.12 times the prize.

Youtube video of making 4 million credits on Monza (650pp Nascar seasonal); NOT MINE!

This helped me a lot, hope it helps some of you guys as well.

I'll use this video to illustrate the math one more time, per the question above. In the video, I believe the guy had PP of 541. It's a bit fuzzy on my monitor. Doing the math, one gets:

(2 * 550600) + (~5.4 * 550600) = 4074400

The only trick is estimating the exact multiplier for the 541PP. It basically works like this (determined for this race because 650PP is "default", and 610PP is the stated doubler on the race page):
650 0x
610 2x
570 4x
530 6x

As shown earlier, 550PP is 5x. So, 541 is somewhere between 5x and 6x, a bit closer to 5x so i estimated 5.4x. There is some rounding involved. I don't care to figure it out because the general idea is close enough for me.

And lo, and behold, the exact winnings were $4074400.

I just want to point out that the PDA cannot be discerned without trial and error, as I alluded to. The only "given" is the 'double' amount.

In other words, if you haven't already calculated what affect different PP levels have on the PDA, then the easiest way to figure out what's what, is to try it yourself.

I agree that you can't get it to the penny, as there is rounding, but I can calculate it to within a few thousands without racing; using the technique I've shown above. And that is good enough for me.

He has actually posted the formula!

I'm may come across here thicker than a cross between a village idiot and a TV weather girl, but does this formula explain why I got 3.8mill with 200% bonus, and the original guy that posted this "method" got 3.8mill with 130% bonus? Surely we should have gotten different prize amounts?

You're not being thick.

The way the formula works is that you fist determine the baseline amount which is the prize plus your logon bonus. Then the PDA is calculated on that baseline amount then added so if you both ran the same PP you should have had a higher payout.

That formula is not always correct. It is only applicable to events that have a doubling factor of 30PP. But the concepts are the same. In that case, each PP is worth about 6.6% because for every 30PP you get 200% more. But that is not always the case. In the NASCAR event, it doubles with 40PP, so each PP is essentially worth about 5%.

The method that I have shown is as accurate as you can get. I'm not sure if I need to explain it further. My examples should be useful to figuring it out.
