Sweet find man. Just got 1.8mil with a 500pp F40. Gonna try a couple more cars at lower PPs.

EDIT: 2.29mil with a 485pp 458 Italia. Overtook on the last lap through the shortcut.

Sounds like a close race, In the first 2 laps those Enzo's really pull away but its easy enough to catch them in the end.
I can't take the credit for the shortcut, found it somewhere here on the forum.
Are you running at 200% log-in bonus for that 2.29mil?

620 PP Supercar Festival -- since the update 2.10 the Callaway with engine +3 Weight +3 and fully tuned without aero the PP is 516 with 752 hp
With the 200% log in bonus
When you run it in the 620PP Supercar Festival Eifel you can win fairly easily taking the lead on lap 5 and earn
A Performance Difference Adjustment 1,451,008
-- Total Credits earned 1 race 2,148,608

May i ask you what you did to the rx7 for that race. It would help me out a lot

No longer works since new update

The RX7 GT-X, the little rotary that knew it could. Even with some serious down tuning this little car will take on nearly anything you throw at it, then put it in it's place and move on without a second thought. When I first started driving RX7's it amazed me how competitive they really were. The more I drove it the faster it became one of my all time favorites next to the AE86. Though my experience with this car is not solely game based having owned and driven an 89 RX7 for a few year which in that time it saw more than its fair share of the back road races. The little nimble Rx7 took everything with the ease of a champion.
Here in GT5 though PolyPhony actually underestimated this little car so much that the down tuned its performance points drastically. Though since it still handles the same.. it will still smoke the 500pp competition with its merger 440pp. I just hope you all enjoy it half as much as I have.

I found this tune to work well for drifting with Comfort Hard tires and even works well when car is at full tuned power.

My favourite is the Euro Hatchback event on the Eifel Kart Track. Using a 285bhp Megane RenaultSport, I make 400,000 per six minute race.

I use more or less the same tune. This car is infact faster out of all the rx7's

To get the most money the quickest you can go to the SupercarFestival 620PP seasonal event and use an Audi Le Mans Quattro '03 and tune it to 530PP you should get 2million every race on the Indianapolis race way

My favorite brings 1,152,543 cr. Per 2 lap race (about 7 minutes) and is fairly easy.

--4wd 530 challenge special event.
--race #4 "Sarthe Circuit 2009"

Many cheapo 4wd's will do, but I've found old faithful to be the Mitsubishi GTO SR'98

Tuned out as 440 pp.
Titanium semi exhaust, racing air filter, ecu chip, and upgrade #1 only on engine.
Has a wing, but only set to minimum 5.

The trick here, is basically cheating, lol. The sarthe track has those 2 side curves on the long part of track. Most of you know, to floor it and skid through the dirt on those, and the auto-cars always slow down and do it right. Make up your lead using those, and don't forget to skip those last 2 end curves as well right before the finnish line.
It's basically just exploiting the fact that the other cars are robots, fast easy 1 mil +

Don't know if this has been done in this thread, but I use a 383pp Lexus IS to win the FR Seasonal "High Speed Ring" race (500pp max). This got me over 1.4 million and it's and easy race to win. With less corners than other races, lots of draft opportunities, and cheap cars that can win. I've been grinding this race a lot, like 30 times already. It's helped me buy all the 20 mil cars. This is a great opportunity to get big credits and can't handle the super high PP cars (ie. FGT, X2011, Escudo)

On the World Track seasonal I just got 2.5 million using the 2j with engine turned down to 50%. Lead car was the Sauber

eifel in the F1 easy to drive once you know the track just turn down the pp u get to a point were u cant afford a spin

Another way is to get some Bobs started... Befriend some gtp'ers who have the widget installed. Your 6 Bobs run race after race after race overnight while you're sleeping. I cashed about 8,000,000 the other day.

Tell me more about this 'widget'. I'd love to let a couple people race my Bobs for 8mil.

my ss dtm @ the ring 524 pp gives 1.5 mil at 110%, seems sarth and f1 ferrari are much better.

is the ferrari f1 hard to do with low pp?

I'm new to Gran Turismo 5 but I was wondering what the easiest way was to make coins? I have a decent garage and about 8 million coins so getting a new car wouldn't be a problem.

Hello gtplanet users

I dont have very many cars to do any of the big money making seasonal evens, let alone detuned and everything, and I really dont know what event will help lead to the biggest payout based on time...

Could someone please tell me what event is good for making money as well as possibly letting me borrow a car from them if they could add me

my psn is LegendaryBeast96

All help appreciated! Thanks!

Shoot me a FR at my PSN Sidebrowns and you can borrow my F2007, detuned for a comfortable victory at the Ferrari F1 Eifel Circuit, can be tuned quite a bit lower for a bigger payout. I usually run more ballast and engine limiter to get to 785PP and earn 3.2 million in ~12 minutes. Fun car to drive too. 👍

Edit: My 785PP setup

F2007: 785PP
Aero: F90 R134
Ballast: 76kg pos 5
Power: 60.4% ~435HP

Winning a F1 race in a reduced PP car is very difficult for 98% of GT5 drivers, although the payouts are large they are largely unobtainable. For newer, novice, average drivers use the B-spec seasonals and then then races like the a-spec American car races, and max out the login bonuses so play every day.

I wouldn't say 98% and also the AI don't go nearly as fast as they could in their unrestricted cars so it's really not that bad. I'm not especially good at driving in GT5 (and I use DS3) and I can win pretty easily with that PP range. Worth a shot at least. 👍 Of course B-Spec is indeed less work. :cheers:

Also, sorry tuner, I was wrong about which Ferrari I had on that account. :lol: I have the F10 on Sidebrowns and the F2007 on Chauncimal. If you FR both you'll have your pick! :) It also may be worth it to keep the aero stock and make up the PP difference with ballast.

The easiest money maker that I've found is the DTM or Ferrari fest, nurb, cut chicane, run 100 pp deficit. More than 2.3 million cr. in either case.

This is my first post, but I've gotten so much information from this helpful site that it seems time to pay back a bit. I haven't actually found this particular grind recommended anywhere else. I'll give full details of my setup below.

ONLINE B-spec Challenge No. 5, 500PP Autumn Ring / 5 Laps
Car: Lotus Elise 111R '04

6,717,000 cr./hr. (895,600 every 7:30 to 7:45, plus 20 seconds or so to press X-X-O-X-X-X). That's cr. 111,950/min. including the time between races.

Hitting the 20 Million limit, then, takes only about 3 hours start to finish assuming you're at zero, and if you time it right, you're only pushing buttons for about 10 minutes out of the 3 hours. (I grind while watching TV, and check GT5 at the commercials.)

It seems an anomaly to me that this race, recommending only a Level 20 driver, pays out better than the 650PP event (below), but there you go. At these prize levels, the 200% login bonus obviously pays off handsomely. The experience is excellent, too, but I can't say it's the highest per minute. I do think this is the highest cr./min. in the game, based on all the other recommendations I've seen, at least for B-Spec:

First Place:
447,200 x 200%=895,600 cr.
86,200 x 200%=172,400 exp.
Typical finishes: 7:30–7:45

Côte d'Azur, the 650PP race in this same Event (and recommending Class 30 drivers) pays out less, at only 441,900 cr. (883,800 with 200% bonus), and it takes longer to complete IIRC. It was very much harder for me to win than the 500PP when I did the series for the gold. Indeed, I doubt it's possible to win Côte d'Azur unattended, save perhaps with the Chapparral 2J, which I don't have. And even with the 2J, those 2 corners that nail everyone are killers! (Unsure what the experience point payout is there, and don't want the pain of re-running it to find out! :-) )

The Lotus Elise 111R '04 is conveniently available at the offline Lotus dealership, coming in stock at PP447/189HP/860kg, for only cr. 54,400. (Bonus, being a Premium car, you can get a nice cockpit view on those rare occasions you decide to watch Bob do his thing, or even help him along.)

I had to de-tune an existing one when I started, for example removing turbos and downgrading intake parts, but instead let me show you just how I would build up this car from new at the dealer for minimum investment to the 500PP grind-mobile.

1. From GT Auto:
a. cr. 250, change oil (yes, even if new), 443->450PP.
b. For the grinder, you won't need the RM (Racing Modifications) or any Aero Kits. I'm tempted to experiment with them, but I fear I'd have to back down the power side far too much, to get back down to 500PP; my RM version of the Elise with full Aero comes in at 574PP.

2. From Tuning Shop, purchase the following:
a. cr. 15,000, Suspension: Fully Customizable Kit
b. cr. 2,500, Drivetrain: Twin Plate Clutch
c. cr. 1,500, Drivetrain: Semi Racing Flywheel
d. cr. 7,500, Drivetrain: Adjustable LSD
e. cr. 20,000, Transmission: Fully Customizable
f. cr. 10,000, Exhaust: Titanium Racing 188->203HP; 443->453PP
g. cr. 500, Exhaust: Catalytic Converter Sports 203->209HP; 453->457HP
h. cr. 1,000 Engine: ECU Tuning 209->220HP; 457->464PP
i. cr. 2,500 Engine: Stage 1 Tuning 220->222HP; 464->466PP
j. cr. 15,000 Engine: Stage 2 Tuning 222->225HP; 466->467PP
k. cr. 30,000 Engine: Stage 3 Tuning 225->227HP; 467->468PP
l. cr. 5,000 Body: Stage 1 Wt. Red. 860->808kg; 468->481PP
m. cr. 10,000 Body: Stage 2 Wt. Red. 808->791kg; 481->486PP
n. cr. 20,000 Body: Stage 3 Wt. Red. 791->774kg;486->491PP
o. cr. 20,000 Body: Chassis Reinforcement
p. cr. 3,000 Body: Window Weight Reduction 774->764kg; 491->493PP
q. cr. 5,000 Body: Carbon Hood 764->759kg; 493->495PP

You don't need Racing tires, as the event limits you to the stock Sports Hard.

Hmm, 495PP. The remainder must come from the PP you gain breaking in the engine by racing; I actually have to turn my power limiter down to 99.4% on my grinder.

Now to setup (no credit to me--found this online, probably on this site.)

Ballast: 0
Engine: (None at this time, but from here on out use the bare minimum power limiter reduction to keep at or below 500PP; that and oil changes every 10 or so races should be all you ever need to do for this grind.)
Transmission: Set Top Speed to 124; let the gears sort themselves out. (You'll max out at about 120mph at the end of the S/F straight on Autumn Ring, so gearing beyond that is wasted.)
Drivetrain: LSD 20/40/7
Suspension:
RH: -25/-25
SR: 6.5/10.0
D(E): 7/8
D(C): 6/5
AR: 3/3
Alignment:
CA(-): 1.3/1.5
TA: 0.10/-0.15
Brakes: 6/5

That's cr. 168,750 in mods and oil, plus the original 54,400 for the Elise, for a total investment of cr. 223,150. To verify all of the above, I followed these instructions on a new Elise, popped it into the event (with a Level 35 relatively cool Bob), pressed start, and didn't touch the controller. 7:49.172 seconds later, I was cr. 895,600 richer (cr. 672,450 net), Bob having taken the lead by Lap 4, and finishing 13.790 up on second place. It's particularly gratifying to see this little gem blowing past another Elise 111R '04 when it appears.

I'm sure the tune could be tweaked, but having never lost this race with this car, I can't see investing the time. When I actually give Bob some coaching, I can get lap times down into the 1:27s, and finish overall in 7:30ish.

Hope the info is of use to some folks here. I've been on a buying spree just because I hate hitting the 20 Mill limit and not getting full prize money, even with credits being so easy to acquire here. Thought I should share the secret sauce.

Cheers, all.

Additional Notes:

2d race in this car: 7:47.162, 18.137 over 2d place, no coaching.

3d race: 7:36.777, 2d place didn't register a time before it flipped to my prize screen (decided to coach Bob a little; he had the lead by about 200 yards into lap 3.)

After the 3d race, a trip to the garage showed an oil change taking me from 229HP to 241HP (495->503PP), so I guess the break-in happens pretty quickly. Since the car was now overqualified for the Seasonal, I de-tuned it to 236HP/500PP by turning the Power Limiter to 98.0%. From here on out, lather, rinse and repeat. :-)

Note: for the next few races, I consistently got "Regulations Breached" messages at the beginning of each, easily resolved by choosing Settings on the enter race screen, and tuning the power limiter down a click or two. I'll be curious to see how long the break-in continues.

Finally, I forgot to mention the Seasonal's prize: including the three for these 3 races, I have now amassed 239 Racing Suits! Woo-hoo! Meh. :-)

Have been doing plenty of this one over the past month to bump up cash and level up my bobs, as it is the easiest/highest/fastest rewarding b-spec grind.

I tend to use my NSX-R Concept, GT-R Black Edition or Lancer Evo VIII RS.

I've noticed that the NSX (of one type or another) is the typical #2 AI car in this event, with the TVR Griffith 500 typically serving as the #1 placed "rabbit."

If I were smart (sadly, I'm not, apparently), I'd try tuning a Griffith for this event. But somehow, I've got a real attraction to the NSX series.

I appreciate the feedback, nowcontrol, and will probably give my best NSX a tune and a go.

Cheers,
