But Yamaha gave the squad a Misano deadline in early September to outline their 2011 plans and it was confirmed during last weekend’s Motorland Aragon race that all were leaving. The news was first reported by MCN on Saturday night via twitter.com/birtymotogp Yamaha’s declaration that Burgess and the crew will quit makes it inevitable that they will be in tandem with Rossi again next season when he tries to win a tenth world crown for Ducati.
Preziosi though says no deal has been signed with Rossi’s crew, but he expected negotiations to reach a successful and imminent conclusion.
Good stuff, that makes Rossi's move even more interesting and more likely to be a success.
Imagine if he wins another championship...
How many manufacturers will that be??
Aprillia
Honda
Yamaha
Ducati
3 of those in the premier class...
Anybody done that before?
Nope, thats why he is the hero he is...

To put things into perspective.
Rossi is currently 4th in the Championship, His worst result since 1996 (14 years ago), which was his first year in 125's. And in order for that to happen he has had a broken leg and injured shoulder and missed 4 races...
Simply incredible.
BBCDani Pedrosa has broken his collarbone after a crash in practice for Sunday's Japanese MotoGP, all but handing the world title to Jorge Lorenzo.
The Repsol Honda rider suffered a multiple fracture of his left collarbone six minutes into practice at Motegi, his team's home circuit.
He is likely to miss three races which take place over consecutive weekends.
With him being Lorenzo's only serious title rival, that means the Fiat Yamaha rider has almost won the title already.
Pedrosa, 25, crashed after just two laps and was seen limping away from his bike, and will definitely miss Sunday's race.
"When he crashed he suffered a multiple fracture of the left collarbone, and that requires an operation to have the best chance of returning to racing as soon as possible," said MotoGP medical director Michele Macchiagodena.
He also hinted Pedrosa would definitely miss the next round of the championship, in Malaysia.
"First we need to know when he can be operated on, then we will know when he can race again. We will see him in Australia (the round after Malaysia).
It had been feared Pedrosa had also suffered an ankle fracture but this was ruled out.
"We x-rayed the ankle as well and it is okay. He had old fractures but nothing new, just a small contusion."
Lorenzo leads the championship race by 56 points, with five races remaining.
He has been by far the most consistent rider in the competition, failing to finish on the podium in just one race so far this season.
But he has also benefitted from a broken leg sidelining team-mate Valentino Rossi and ending his world title chances, and now Pedrosa's misfortune too.
I must admit my interest has wained in this season (although I'm still watching the race this weekend) in the last couple of months so hopefully next year will be more exciting. I do feel sorry for Lorenzo that his first title was practically gifted to him but he's ridden so well and shown a lot of maturity I didn't know he had so he's definitely gone up in my estimations.
Hopefully Ducati will continue their good form and put on a show on Sunday....actually it looks like Rossi might back on it, he's fastest in Friday practice!

Does no one mention Spies?
He came from last place in the mishap from turn 5. He turned it up and wound up in 8 place when it was all said and done. Woot
Edwards didn't have to come back from last place.Well IMO he should have gotten a better result than 8th place to begin, so no, he doesn't deserve much mention. Edwards put in a very impressive, MISTAKE free ride though 👍
Edwards didn't have to come back from last place.
You apparently don't see how it's harder to come back from last to 8th position, going through traffic, and all.
It takes more gumption to do that than to maintain a position of having a 'mistake free' run.
Give a little credit where it's due and I'm sure that we're all human making mistakes along the way in our life so to say that Spies made the mistake, that's arguable too. Some say Hayden caused the mishap and not a mistake.
Oh well, I still like Spies, and feel he'll be a force to reckon with next year. 👍
Rossi fastest again in 1st practice,he is slowly comming back in great shape...👍👍👍
As Lorenzo will grab the championship this weekend(if nothing wierd happends)i hope there is space for Rossi to win this GP...would be a nice end to the season for him and to go into next year on full swing!!..
Will be an early Sunday race morning with first the Formula1 and right after the Motogp...
