This car is pretty good with my default settings applied. I think that PD spends more time programming the Japanese touring cars. I could see myself working in their programming department and looking for any excuse to spend more time with these cars. I got gold in the seasonal event pretty easily with my default settings. I do hear some rear wheel spin on throttle through corner exit. I cannot pinpoint which tire is doing it.
Change: Sport Hard Tires. Yep, confirmed, outside wheel spin. Change back to Racing Hard Tires and a LSD adjustment then run a bunch of laps.
LSD 12/10/10 This change was a definite improvement. I still hear a very small amount of wheel spin if I am not smooth on the throttle.
Camber to 0/0. I noticed that many of the top time trial tunes @praiano63 and @Weider were using 0/0. I picked up almost two seconds with this change.
At this point I have a pretty fun car to drive. The car needs a little help getting down to the apex on high speed entry. It could also use a touch of stability on exit.
Change LSD to 13/10/7. Higher initial for more stability on exit. Lower decel for more aggressive entry.
Still needs more corner entry to get down to the apex.

- LSD to 14/10/5. Higher initial for more stability on exit. Lower decel for more aggressive entry.
I seem to be going the wrong way with something in the LSD. The accel and decel changes have produced results. The higher initial has caused a condition of rough transition from locked to unlocked.
Change LSD to 11/10/5. Much better. 1:19.673 lap time.
The car is pretty strong on entry and exit, but now needs more cornering to reduce mid-corner understeer.

The car is getting really fast now but could use more entry and more exit steering.
Change DE to 7/4. This did not improve the car. Change back to 6/5.

Good. Slight improvement.
Change down-force to max front 400/550. Big improvement. Lap time down to 1:19.243.
Time to fine tune:
- BB 6/6. Improved braking zone with shorter stopping distance.
- Toe -0.12/0.00. No noticeable difference.
- DE to 7/5. Better front end exit grip.
- Downforce to 400/575. Settled the car down a little on corner exit. I can really lay into the throttle now on exit. Lap time 1:19.074.
- BB 6/7. Improved braking zone with shorter stopping distance.
- LSD to 10/9/5. This cured most of the wheel spin on exit. Lap time 1:18.694 and top 1,000 right now.
- Downforce to 400/600. The car is now smooth all the way through the corner. It is becoming a very consistent car. My only complaint is that the car get a little unsettled over bumps. Maybe ride height is too low?
- RH to 65/60. A more forgiving car with the same lap time. I would call that a win.
- RH to 64/58. What a great car. I am out of time for the night and the car is working very well for me.

I am in love with this tune. If you know anything about real world tuning, this setup will drive your mind crazy. I had to ignore my own real world tenancies and just listen to what the 86 GT wanted in game. This car has massive understeer in stock form. I pulled out all of the tricks to get this to rotate correctly. I simply followed my newly published GT6 tuning guide and it lead me to this wonderfully handling machine. Only three of my friends currently faster than me (@GTP_CargoRatt who is a master at time trials, @praiano63 a tuning phenom who is usually half-a-second faster than me and @Johnnypenso who puts done amazing times without SRF). I am happy with placing a top 500 ranking and being close behind these three friends. I can run this tune on top of my ghost all day long.
One really odd thing about this tune. Look at the picture above. I did not think that this tune was super low or super soft so I was really surprised when I went to photo mode. After this, I did go back, raise ride height and increased spring rates to around the middle. The car was worse. So I returned the springs to slightly higher than I had them and raised ride height around ten numbers. Went a bit faster with a more predictable car <-- win. Tune below. Feel free to comment on whether it worked for you or not.
