I can't remember if someone's already mentioned this, but Marcos Ambrose's "control tyre" incident at Canberra in the V8SC was hilarious

edit: yep, it's already up here....I still laugh every time I watch it though, lol

Thank you! I have been looking everywhere for that video.

The Porsche driver (Bergmeister) got the win and probation, the Corvette driver (Magnussen) got a broken rib iirc.

And didn't both drivers end up getting fined for that little scuffle? I know it was a big deal. And there really is enough blame to go around. The Corvette should've slowed down and just gone around him on the other side, and the Porsche shouldn't have shoved him into the wall. It was a dirty move, yes, but the Corvette isn't the innocent victim by any means.

I don't know, if it was me, I might have just put the Porsche in the wall by backing off a little bit and letting the idiot clip my front bumper...I'm just saying that either of those two cars could've resolved that matter in a peaceful solution. And sometimes...getting first, isn't worth it. I mean, If the guy was so adamant about winning that he's willing to shove my car into the wall like that, I'd just let him have the position. I'd take second and when the team and interviewers ask why, I'd simply say, "He obviously wanted the position bad enough to act like an idiot, and I'm not going to risk my safety or the car over someone being stupid." Part of racing is knowing when the risks are too high. And, again, to be fair, blocking like that usually gets you spun out in the end...and that definitely wasn't the last time those two cars got together.

The #1 Car squeezed everyone up to the top and then the #6 tried to get out of the way and clipped the #54.

That was a mess... Yeah, car #1 veered to the right and at the worse timing as car #33 was just about to go on the outside next to car #60, thus all being squeezed onto the wall. Car #6 tried to escape the wreck but he then clipped car #54 and started another seperate group of incident.

But what the heck, that was a great escape and out of nowhere by Buescher to become a winner.

I actually meant to say that the 54 driver would have had serious injuries if it wasn't for the HANS system. Remember number 3?

What's impressive, is the number of cars that were involved in that wreck that crossed the line, anyway, like Kurt Busch (who caused the wreck) and Tony Stewart.

One of the craziest things I've ever seen in racing. It's hard to tell here but the announcers had no clue at first, they were giving a race recap after commercial and the video shows Montoya's car absolutely destroyed and on fire with JPM stumbling out. Just wild stuff.

I missed that and wow, no wonder there was a really long delay... I got home thought the race has finished long ago but then it was red flagged.

They did a great job putting out the fire. That, probably the most bizzare Daytona 500 ever in history

You know, actually I thought of that too. Considering that it was a jet fuel, the damage could've been much worse. I also thought the grass was all going to catch fire and Montoya's car going to be nothing but a burnt steel/aluminium/fiber but...

For those that missed it:

Safety worker at :25 running to the truck is a hero, he got the driver out before it burst into flames

1:00 you can see him helping the badly shaken truck driver away from the wreckage and flames

Does anyone know how they will permanently fix the track? Will they just dig out that section and re-pave it?

Typical of Montoya to crash into a jet dryer truck. Clearly he's Juan in a Million

Montoya: That guy as a Jet powered car... better take him out...

Montoya in ambulance with Jet dryer driver: Sorry I blew up your truck with you in it...

Montoya will always be remembered in Nascar... as the guy that blew the jet dryer

Clearly it was not a good idea to draft a Jet Dryer (Montoya thinks)

how many drivers does it take to blow up a jet dryer? ..... Just Juan.

Bin Laden has an inside man in Nascar.

Montoya is planning a career change he says: : Demolition Derby. Nascar is too complicated for me too many turns.

Not very good jokes but its what I can manage...
