Bruce McLaren finished in 5th place on his debut at the 1959 Monaco Grand Prix. Who, When, Where and for which team was the next driver to finish 5th on their debut?

I know Felipe Nasr finished 5th in his F1 2015 debut (Melbourne, Australia, Sauber)... so that's my guess :D

Who was the first non-Briton to win the British Touring Car Championship?

Thank you for keeping the ball rolling, I'd forgotten I owed this thread a question 👍

Mark Webber finished 5th for Minardi in the 2002 Australian GP, but I'll be amazed if that's right.

Was it Prost for McLaren in Brazil in 1980? I know he got points but it may have only been 6th.

It was Paul Goldsmith in the very next race, the Indy 500, driving an Epperly-Offenhauser for the Demler team.

Edit: Nevermind, it wasn't his debut.

Paul had already raced in 1958
Actually it'll be Martin Brundle Brazil 84 for Tyrrell.
Technically no, as he was disqualified from that season, meaning Patrick Tambay was 5th in that race.

It was 6th

Correct!

A car manufacturer won a race overall for the first time in 2 major tintop series last season, and has won another race in both those series this year. Which manufacturer is it, which series did they win in, and who were the drivers that took the debut wins?

Which North American race circuit has corners called "Candy Mountain", "Temptation", "Deliverance", "The Spoon", and a complex named after the 4 members of The Beatles, followed by a corner called "Help!"?

Calabogie in Canada.
Winner!

I've been waiting a while to ask this question. :D

14 drivers have competed in a Formula One Grand Prix weekend across three different decades. Name them. If that's too hard, just answer with as many as you can, and whoever has the most gets to go next.

EDIT: I forgot about Lammers. :banghead:

Jacques Villeneuve's last Grand Prix was the 2006 German GP.

I totally forgot about Lammers. :embarrassed: Would it be bad form if I changed the question because there's a 15th driver who competed in three decades?

Is it not still 14? Jacques Villeneuve out, Jan Lammers in.

Unless of course, Bruno Giacomelli's DNPQs for Life in 1990 count. Following on from McLaren in the 70s and Alfa Romeo in the 80s. Then it would be 15.

The 1.5 liter supercharged inline 8 cylinder Alfa Romeo Tipo 158/159 "Alfetta" was competitive across three decades, albeit in different categories.

1) What Formula One car since 1950 had the most years of points-scoring competition of any F1 car? Name the car and list the years.
2) How was it able to remain competitive for so long? (optional, subjective answer okay)

Alfa Romeo 159 Formula 1 car
Voiturette (1938–1947)
Formula 1 (1948–1951)

I'd have a guess at the McLaren M23. It was raced and scored wins and points from '73 to '77

McLaren M23, 1973 - 1977
Races: 83
Wins: 16
Poles: 14
F. Laps: 10

That''s an extremely good answer, 'tho I believe there is one better.
