Was it white ? and something to do with the paint so raced in plain metal.
Close enough, they had to shed a kilo at the Nurburgring in 1934 and so were divested of their white paint.

Dan Gurney after the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans, on the 11th of June 1967.
I'm sat thinking Piquet but I'm not certain, somebody's career went down the drain around that timeWhen was the last time someone who had a F1 title to their name failed to qualify for a Grand Prix?
Alboreto didn't win a world championship?Nah, it'll be Alboreto
He said someone who had F1 titles to their name at the time I think?
Only non-start after his championship was in 1997 after a throttle problem, not a DNQSo he did so, not Alonso then
I'm going for Damon Hill, in a Jordan, 1998, track unknown![]()
1990... Honda V12... McLaren...Sorry folks, health issues.
So in the days of testing, at an official test at Silverstone in 1990 just before the British Grand Prix, Honda ran their V12 for the first time, who drove ?
I think that was Mika Hakkinen.Sorry folks, health issues.

It's not a trick no.1990... Honda V12... McLaren...
No idea, I'd say Senna or Berger but I bet that's a trick question![]()
I believe Mika joined in 1993, I know he replaced Michael Andretti after Monza.I think that was Mika Hakkinen.
Well if it's not a trick I'll guess Berger, as Senna seems too obviousIt's not a trick no.

When it ran for the first time Senna wasn't there on the day.Senna smashed it up at Silverstone
Good choice, I think he had a run in a McLaren for winning the Autosport award, then later a test driver, not him though, in some ways the closest so far.I'm pretty sure it wasn't Senna or Berger, so I'll say Allan McNish as he tested for McLaren round about that time.
Another good choice but not him.Martin Brundle? I have some memory of him running a test in a McLaren back to back with Senna...
It wasn't Senna or Berger, Berger was driving the V10 as Mclaren were going for the championships with it that season and the Grand prix was in a months time.Actually, I think it was Senna as I recall him saying he wasn't convinced it was good enough.
Was not a British driver, but see you're thinking.Jonathan Palmer?

That's a good find, I'll give you the win on that. Are you sure it wasn't McNish?
