Do you have an mp3 player? If so, what is it? Do you like it?
I have an ipod mini in silver 4gb - the one with the 18 hour battery life, and my previous one was a creative muvo tx.

I have a Rio Cali Sport. Like this one, only 256meg. I was thinking of getting a Mini, but my wife wanted a built-in radio.:grumpy: I still like it, though. Battery life kinda sucks, but when you only use it for an hour a day at the gym, it's not too big a deal to change it out once a week. With just the built in 256, it has around 90 track on it right now.

It's a Nexia+.

*EDIT - That picture isn't the "+" version.

40GB iPod (4th Gen), with Sony MDR-EX71 headphones. Very good with the replacement phones, although I would prefer a stronger battery life.

I didn't buy a skin because i have heard they are disgusting to touch, don't care myself, i bought a belkin case for it.

On another subject, has anyone had their ipod earphones go wrong or break? I know 4 people with ipods (including myself) and two people's sets of headphones have gone wrong.
I've had mine for about a week and they are fine, my friend with a photo has had his since christmas, my other friend with a shuffle has had his for a month, and his went all crackly. And someone else i know with a normal ipod has had his go wrong too.
Anyone else have any problems?

I've got a 20GB Archos Multimedia Jukebox. I've had it a while and the battery life is diminishing rapidly. It's got a built-in battery which can't be changed economically. The upside is I never really use it when I'm out, so I can usually plug it in. It's main use is in the car where it is powered from the cigarette lighter socket.

I also have a Creative Muvo 128MB. I use it mainly as a USB pen drive tho'. My HP3715 iPAQ can play MP3's too, which comes in handy.

Nice archos, i have a creative muvo 128mb too, does yours have a screen? Mine does.

I've lost track of how many times I've posted this in all the different Mp3 threads but...

iRiver H140 with Sony EX-71 headphones. 40 gigs and close to 9 hours of musical bliss :D. The battery life used to be 16 hours, but after a year of very heavy use, it's been degrading slowly. I'll probably replace it with a 3rd party battery with double the power sometime next year

Unfortunately you just put "Zen" in there when there are lots of different types.

Zen Xtra:

If thats the 60gb version, it's the same one I have. I used it 2/3 hours a day for about a year, because I used to catch the train to work. The battery life is still good and it's easily replaceable. I don't use it much anymore, as I just tend to listen to cd's in the car now.

The only problems I have with it (not problems more just issues with functionality) is that it needs fairly clunky software to transfer things and the firmware is pretty much locked down.

A 20gb Creative Zen Touch, I've been six weeks without headphones because I'm too lazy to get some new ones, so it sits at home all day. My only real problem with it, is its bulk.

i have mp3 on my phone - nokia 6260
6260_main.jpg

i really only use it for ringtones, i have good cd players in the cars i drive, or i'm usually doing things (working, working on my car, sitting on the net) where an mp3 player would be pesky or redundant

my mum has an ipod which she uses for listening to music while she's riding her motorbike, she's got these speakers in the helmet and everything!

I've got an Iriver H320 20GB player. It is running the Korean 1.27K firmware so I can watch .avi files on there. I have a "few" Simpson's episodes on there ;)

True, but i didn't want to go into the thousands of zens you can buy, and i didn't want to just put creative either.

I've got an Ipod Shuffle. It's pretty cool and it's more than I ever need for playing music.
It's the 512er.

In May I'd buy an Ipod 30GB Photo. Further it should be coupled with a bose soundsystem or something like that.

When I move I need a good music station ;)

While the shuffle is a great player, I strongly advise against any of the hard drive based iPods.

What's the difference between the MDR-V series and the MDR-EX series headphones?

I have a Creative MuVo NX 256 MB, with the screen. It suits me fine for the time period that I use it--I rarely run through the whole playlist.

PS
What's the difference between the MDR-V series and the MDR-EX series headphones?
The EX are earplugs designed for music listening. The V series have highly pronounced bass and treble for DJ and mixing purposes. It's a shame that so many people buy the V series of headphone for their mp3 players. There's nothing great about them for the cost, and they only provide their full range of sound on high output devices.

4th Gen ipod, Vaja leather case, EX71-SLs, iTrip. I'm jealous of those iRivers, so i will probably go for one of those later on this year (I spend a ton of money on my music, and I upgrade the player about once a year, and sell the old one).

Oh? Why is that?
