I am pretty sure if you arent a musician its kind of hard to get into them because its more technical than an actual emotion, its almost like learning what the best can do aka the guitarist, that man is just a beast on the guitar, i suggest just downloading some songs if you want to listen dont buy a cd because you may be disappointed, a lot of crazy stuff but wow is it sooooo good.

How about older stuff?

Favorites-Zeppelin, Doors, Hendrix, Beatles,Who, Cream etc.

A friend of mine is a HUGE Dream Theator fan. I can dig it. I also like Zepplin. I downloaded a bunch of Zepplin tunes the other day and listened to them for hours on end. I really should go buy some "greatest hits" albums.

Dont buy greatest hits, buy all the albums starting from 1 and go up, way better that way, or go for that 100 dollars+ studio tracks that has like all of them and more, crazy ****, i want it bad

anyone listen to Stanley Jordan?

Thanks for the advice, I'll take that into account.

Does anybody listen to David Gray? I was reminded of his ability to get the groove on recently. Very groovin` music.

what kind of stuff does he play?

It's a strange kind of jazz rock thing. I saw him once on Jay Leno. He has a very .... interesting stage presence (:

Surely ZeroCool and I aren't the only two that listen to the Foo Fighters!?! A band as awesome as the Foo have to have made it into more of your music collections than just the two of us. You guys should check them out.

I listen to them! I love their videos.. they're so funny.

How could I forget Blue Man Group!?! Their album "Audio" is incredible. They -make- their own instruments out of pvc pipe and other junk you find in your garadge. REALLY AWESOME SOUNDS! I definitely suggest picking it up next time you're at the music shop nearest you.

Anyone like to listen to Classical stuff? [/B]

I do.. I haven't in a while b/c one of my friend's took the only cd I had :( My favorite is Mozart, though. I also have the movie about his life.. one of the best Christmas presents I ever got. :)

Well I think that the greatest piece of music ever written ever is Rachmaninov's second piano concerto. What a masterpiece.

Other than that I really like other classical piano music, try Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto ("Emporer"). Sometimes a bit of Bach. Some Grieg (in particular "In the hall of the mountain king" from the "Peer Gynt sweet"), and Orff's Carmina Burana is pretty hot too.

Yeah, but IMO, you can't listen to a whole album of him, because it all begins to sound the same and get a bit wearing.
