Ah...$3,000 for wheels and emblems. Typical of a car company to charge out the wazoo for stuff like that.

The BBS wheels package for my WRX was over $3,000 - and the tires were seperate! Needless to say...I have the stock wheels. :P

It also got a different instrument cluster too...supposedly.

The OZ is supposed to have a EVO instruments, cant tell though ...never seen the interior of the EVO..my guages are white and light up red at night

arent car manufactures fun...I even tried to get them to add turbo but they wont until the warranty is done....dorks...i wanted the turbo warrantied too...guess they didnt get the point on that one....heh heh

got a tailwing too...and matching floormats.....heh heh..

and yokohama rubber is layed on the rims...oh boy

the only difference between it and the evo 7 is the transmission, body panels and the shocks...and one missing turbo charger.....lol

but she does handle well for missing the active suspension system...but it still has the traction contol system and 4 drive gears

I would have to check...but the email i got from mitsubishis home office said it was the same motor..just no turbo...but i think there might be some other stuff they left out..like the compression...is it lower in my car than the EVO VII oh well....it will have twin turbo in 5 yrs..when the warranty is run out..

Well, the key is: if you have a low compression ratio (like the Evo engine) then your car is ripe for turboing.

Other cars that run high compression (like the Honda S2000 - 11:1  ) don't take to turboing very well because of the danger to the intake.

I'll see if I can find the ratio on the Lancer engine.

Here it is: 9.5:1. Certainly not bad at all.

You'd be able to probably run 6-8, maybe 10 psi without too much trouble.
