Hey guys,

I have always had a intrest in pictures, "pictures say a thousand words" I always think, so I thought I would take a go, just one problem, I don't have a proper camera!! D'oh! :ouch:

So, instead, I used my web cam!! Now, its not the best quality but still, I worked with what i had and eventually came up with this:

I quickly nabed a lamp, took the cover off, then closed the curtains and grabed my guitar.

I guess you can call it DIY photography to some extent. Anyway if you got any tips or comments (Apart from the obvious, get a camera, I know lol) I'm open to them. :)

Right i've decided I'm going to get a camera this christmas.

Now I want a camera that is good at taking close up pictures like I have done already in the earlier posts but I also need it to be 200 quid or less.

Any recommendations?

I've found some cameras on the web and I was also wondering if they are sutable for the job, they are:

Nikkon F55 plus 28-100 SLR @ 149.99

And,

Canon SLR EOS3000V. @ 149.99

Comments woudl be very helpful.

Thanks!!

Well, it depends how much you want to spend, and what you want to do with it.

I'm coping rather well with my Concord Eye-Q 4363Z, which cost me the reasonable sub of £70. Standard zoom (3x optical 6x digital), but what i like is the macro mode (geting up close to your pictures.)

It's ok ish, and you can get some good photos with it, but it's more of a random luck thing than actually controlling the situation in some cases.

I don't like the auto focus on it one bit - it's constantly focusing on the wrong bit, and i use up 75% of my battery focusing it over and over again trying to get it right. When you do get it right, it's not half bad -

That's an example for you.

I've also managed to get some good slow mo shots, some how - it doesn't have a specific way for you to adjust the shutter speed, but again, if you get lucky and fiddle around a bit, you can get this kind of thing:

Pic is clickable btw.

So, as i said, if you're on a budget and need something that can get pretty good results, get mine (if they still sell it). If you can spend £200, DO IT. I don't love it that much

Cheers for the recomendation :)👍 I'll look into it.

Awesome pics btw!
👍

Thanks, the 1st wasn't intended to be artistic at all - i wanted to know if play.coom had sold me legal friends dvds, so i took a picture of what it said :)
