which car of the set do i want?!?

Can the All Japan GT Championship be won with a skyline?

or do i need to go for something with more power?

I'm not sure if this thread is "OK" or not so for now it stays open. :sly:

My opinion on the subject though...

2 stand out skylines (in stock un-tuned form) are...

1) The '99 R34 (used)
No v-spec or anything. Just a plain R34.
This is a very light weight R34 at 1540KG, capable of 330 hp after an oil change and 800 after full tuning (approximately 1280kg on stage 3 weight reduction).
It's just like many of the other R34s only it cost about half as much thanks to the fact that it is used.
So there's the value-buy in my opinion. 👍

2) The R34 V-spec II Nur
This is my favorite of the dealer bought skylines.
I can't say too much more about it, simply put- this is an awesome Skyline and I highly suggest you buy this one if any. 👍 👍

Good luck in your decision.

Done. Now, the only thing is trying to decide what color to get it in! LOL. I'm thinking the Jade Metallic or Silica Breath Metallic ... hmmm.

BTW - i did a search on this topic but by just skimming through the most popular topics i didn't come across any help, so i just posted it.

I have a R34 V-spec II Nur myself and it is a really nice car, participating in Japan Car Championship(The first one in Japan Races). And im getting 113A-spec points and im winning by an easy 4-6 seconds for each race. I heard that the R34 M-spec II Nur is mostly the same car but in real life, it is the more luxury edition of the skyline with more leather parts(ie.Shift knob...). I think i saw somewhere that the M-spec is easier to control when braking. But this doesnt mean that the V-spec is unstable when braking cause it is also very stable. It just depends on which one you feel is slightly better. Have fun cause this is one of the best cars in the game.:dopey:

WOW! THIS THING ROCKS! I got it up to 261.87 mph (with nitro) and i'm confident it could have even gone faster! The best part is ... it handles like a dream!

Mine is fully tunned, with super softs... It's got BBS rims, and a nice looking black spoiler. It's perfect in everyway. It pulls about same times as my FGT. But worse tirewear.

what time is that?

(psst. you every put dirt or snow tires on it and take it out into the wildy?)

r34 skyline Mspec nur is my favorite over the vspec 2 nur....more steering percision....well i use the dfp and that's my conclusion.

Awesome. 👍
The "Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nur '02" is a great car.
My prefference in colors... :P
Blue or Sparkling Silver.

Blue looks killer on a stock R34, silver goes well with nearly any rim color.
Jade is nice and black is always slick.
White is also great for the occassional carbon hooded "N1" or the near white "Mine's." (I actually never really liked the mine's decals and simply came to accept them for the sake of enjoying the car)

At any rate... You need to pick a color.

Is that what this board is coming to? ;)
JK. or am I? ;)

Edit:
Btw, part of the reason for picking a used '99 GT-R is the availibilty of a solid red paint job. :mischievous:

Carbon R from the Tuners. Its the only skyline i have anytime for.
Carbon body very light. Nice to drive looks like the dogs danglers.

It surely can... look at this!

I have no idea how he did that though, but he must have virtually flown. 👍

what is the most powerful gtr, when tuned.. cos they all come out to different values.
also
M Spec has "ripple control suspension" a feature that was put on the V35 skylines

IMO it looks like a dog's dinner.:yuck:

Favourite skyline - the Falken GT-R - and available from the dealership :sly: Driving it around the 'Ring on R1 tyres is soo much fun, and very rewarding when you get a good lap. I've set-up the suspension, but it runs stock power.

SOrry, Seriously, I like the Nismo GT-R LM Road Going Version '95. But I think you have to win it. It's a lil older, but handles sweet, I bought the low end turbo, racing suspension and trans, and nitrous, It handles sweet, brakes real nice, stable, and is just a fun car to run. Don't know how high it maxes on HP, haven't modded it up all the way yet. I did use the pace car to win t tho. :)

Edit: I think it's at approx 399hp atm. It IS a skyliner isn't it?

as you can tell from Greycaps shameless plugin to my record speed, V-spec II Nür is the fastest and most powerful GT-R, delivering over 910 bhp ( 913 if I recall right), leaving bigger-engined and slightly lighter Supra RZ in it's wake. IMO, it's also most agile, putting such cars as M3 into shame with it's graceful behaviour.

Suggesting that a Skyline is graceful is like saying that Johhny Vegas would make a nimble ballet dancer.

It does move pretty well for a 1500kg car, but I would take an Elise or something light and sorted for 'graceful' driving.

yeah i have a full tuned V-Spec II Nur with 911 PS,
i was just wondering what had the most when fully tuned.
cos i have a V-Spec II N1 that develops 8?? Ps at full tune and also SOUNDS COMPLETLEY DIFFERENT with the racing exhaust system.

These are my suggestions, if you want bone-stock stick racing:

1) The Skyline Nur. That is the definition of a sports car.

2) R34 N1. Its got alot of power, great handling, and a sweet carbon hood

3) and finally, my favorite. The Mines Skyline. IMO, Best tuner car in the game. Period.

I can't say I agree with that. :indiff:
4wd, 1500+ kg, and only 330hp aren't what I would call the def of a sports car (even if it handles unusually well in gt4).

I'd have to say something more like a Corvette, Tuscan Speed 6, or Elise 111R are closer to the definition of a sports car. ;)

None the less, Skyline Nur vspec 2 was my original suggestion and I stick to that. 👍
Have fun with the ride. ;)

Answering to your question, just don't buy the Cr.320,000 Skyline Sports (in their classic showroom).

I bought it just for fun, and mostly because it looks pretty much the same with a RR Silver Cloud III. Hahaha.

I bought both the V-spec II Nur and M-spec Nur, personally after testing both the V-spec accelerated slightly faster but I got slighty better lap times in the M-spec.

So personally I would take the M-spec Nur over the V-spec II Nur, but overall I would take the Mines Skyline GTR. :)

Actually I love them all.

I invested in a used 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 and man it works like a charm if you're starting out in the beginner stages of GT4. It's a great in the long run with the Japanese events, and I've managed to finish about a quarter of the game just using it as my primary car. Anyways, I've managed to get a top speed of 270.43mph on Test course, still striving for the all time record of 312hehe

That is the definition of a BIG sports car.

The 111R is by far a better sports car, I definatly agree.

Wasn't thinking about a Euro Rocket on a Japanese Car-based thread :indiff:
