What is it with the Blitzen? is it a skyline it has four doors and the wheelbase is longer. Also you cannot fit a wing to it it says it cannot be fitted with a wing when it has a massive ledge on the back, fit for a wing.

yes it is weird but this car is a real hand ful when it comes 2 drifting. i have been playing gt4 for a long time and i have got good angles with it but is still hard 2 keep in a drift without spinnin' out.

which car of the set do i want?!?

Can the All Japan GT Championship be won with a skyline?

or do i need to go for something with more power?

u will probably need somtin a little bit more powerful because i tried the championship with a 500 hp r-34 gtr and still got flogged. so i tried it with a fully tuned slr mclaren and beat them so unless ur a good racer i would recommend something faster

It is possible. I've won some of those races in a 510bhp R32 and the R34 is undoubtedly quite a bit faster.

Another thing, please use proper English. You even promised to do so when you registered, you can't have slipped past the Acceptable Use Policy. It only takes a couple more key presses to make capital letters and complete words, but it makes the reading a lot easier. Think of it this way: would you easily understand slang Finnish? The situation is exactly the same.

A pretty thorough detailing follows.

R32
GT-R: The base model, the lightest, but also the one with the worst tyres and suspension. The lightest of all GT-R Skylines.
GT-R N1: A version aimed for track use, equipped with different turbos and other minor equipment changes.
GT-R V-Spec: A refined model with a bit more weight, larger wheels and better suspension, and higher power output.
GT-R V-SpecII: An even more refined model with slightly wider tyres than the V-Spec. The best one out of these.

R33
GT-R: Again the base model.
GT-R N1: A similarly track equipped one as the R33 N1.
GT-R V-Spec: A refined model featuring better suspension and a more sophisticated four wheel drive system. The best one out of these.
GT-R V-Spec LM Limited: Just a V-Spec built to celebrate the Le Mans success of the GT-R.

R34
GT-R: Again the base model. The drivetrain of the R33 V-Spec fitted as stock.
GT-R V-Spec: A similarly refined model as the R33 V-Spec.
GT-R V-SpecII: An even more sophisticated fast car, with technical improvements here and there.
GT-R V-SpecII N1: A similarly track equipped car as the R32 & R33 N1, based on the V-SpecII.
GT-R V-SpecII Nür: A special version of the V-SpecII, featuring better turbos and some interior changes. The best one out of these.
GT-R M-Spec: Something of a luxury GT-R, featuring a slightly softer suspension than the V-Spec and a leather interior. Technícally similar to the V-Spec.
GT-R M-Spec Nür: Like the V-SpecII Nür but built out of a M-Spec. The heaviest of all GT-R Skylines.

The Nismo models
GT-R S-Tune: The ultimate R32, it comes with a high revving engine and a very responsive handling. Based on the R32 GT-R V-SpecII.
400R: The ultimate R33, with loads of power in the lower revs but a bit asthmatic top end. Based on the R33 GT-R V-Spec.
GT-R R-Tune: The ultimate R34, pretty similar in style to the S-Tune but handles like the R34. Based on the R34 GT-R.

My personal favourite is the S-Tune, combining the handling of the old school R32 to the technology of today. It's pretty hard to drive really fast though, the best models for beginners are the R34's thanks to their more docile cornering characteristics.

Wow, thats quite a bit of information on the Skylines.

Did you do any testing in order to compile that list, or is it based off of net facts?

The reason I ask is because as stated in my previous post, I had found that I was able to post better times in my stock GT-R than in my stock GT-R VSPEC. (Both '99 R34's) I have also found the same to be true when running my R33's ('97 year models also stock) I haven't run any R32's to see if this follows suite.

The reason to you getting better times with the base models may well be the lower weight of them. By the best, however, I didn't mean just the stock models but also the tuning capabilities. I've always felt the V-Specs to handle a bit better, that's personal preference of course.

All the things that can be tested in GT4 have been tested, naturally the things like the leather interior of the M-Spec are taken from the web. I've said it before and I say it again, I drive these cars a lot because I like them as racing cars, not because I'm a Fast and Furious fanboy. Just ask Dark Elite if you have any doubts. ;)

Some time ago, one of my online friends once mentioned that he tested all of the R34 Skylines, and from that he found that just the base model GT-R worked the best for him, with less additional electronics to interfer with other things

I also tested the base R34 GT-R myself, and its pretty good, if i were in your shoes i'd go with that, It should do fine for what you want to use it for

I appreciate the information. I was just curious about how it was aquired.
If it was based off of tuning capabilitys that I will agree that it was spot on.
I just found in interesting that I was able to post lower times with the base model. I guess that the weight would play a good part in the overall reason.
But if I remember right, the power to weight ratio was very similar. (Like 0.0X diffrent) I wonder if the stock gearing is shorter in the GT-R.

I believe what you said about testing in GT-4. I have seen quite a few things here to support that.

Fast and the Furious . . . :yuck: Yuch!! I'm not a big fan of the movies. I too like the cars for their performance, not for their screen presence.
