Yeah, that proves it, hes an expert. I would read it all, but theres alot of letters and numbers mashed together, I can't make sense of it. Thusly, he must be knowledgable.

Well, I didn't realize how many numbers I put in it. Two-hundred is just too many letters, and I don't think Twenty B-REW looks good. :P

It's not gay. Over here it never gave the car a bad name. It just made people realize the potential of a well tuned AE86. The people that want the car because of the movie... that's a different story. If they know what they're buying, then they would know that it's not going to do things like that stock... but people that buy the car because they think it'll do things like that... you can say they're homosexual... ;)

yes but we also no that a tuned ae86 doesnt stand a chancxe to a tuned rx-7 or tuned high hp car, its a cartoon not real life come on, ive seen videos of 200ps ae86's vs. stock skylines and barely winning, not put it up against a tuned one its over

Yeah, but alot of people 'no' that a Well Driven Hachi-Roku can beat a terribly driven RX-7. And lets be honest here, my friend, theres maybe 6 people, if even that who can drift a car well in the US moutain roads. Very very few people can drive well here. So if someone has an FC, and they're trying to drive it on the passes, and someone in a Tuned '86, who can drive well, will almost always beat the badly driven car. This make sense to anyone else?

just a question about prize cars, for endurance races when it says there are 4 prize cars do you win all 4 if you get 1st or how does it work

You get whichever it wants to give you. You only get one of them. You can do the save and load trick, though. But I'm not explaining it all...

I know the video you're talking about and it's a bad example. None of those drivers were even decent. Seriously, watch the video and watch the lines they take. They're horrible!

If you really think that having a high-horsepower car is what makes you fast, then you obviously have much to learn about driving. In a battle with an 86 vs FD, there is no way to know who would win. It would depend on the course and more importantly on the drivers. The 86 has balance you wouldn't believe, and with the right driver behind it, it will be faster than an FD, even one that is driven by a good driver who knows proper race form.

I'm not saying it can beat any car in any situation, I'm saying that you are over-simplifying the situation and that which car is faster is determined by a lot more than which cars are being raced.

ok i do know because i own one, secondly those drivers are proffesional racers, calling this crappy is highly in accurate they looked to be driving good to me and the r34 driver was the one who sucked ass way more than the 86 drivers. and horsepower does make you fast trust me you dont see f1 cars with 200hp or drag racers with 200hp

There are 3 generations of 3sgte. I'm not gonna take a guess at the gen of that one though.

I'd like to see your 20B, though. That is an insanely expensive motor. (at least here in the states.)

I actually got it for around $1,500USD, including the 5MT. When my dad wakes up I'll ask him about his engine. He keeps everything a secret to me.

Where are you getting your prices at? Engines here are basically "a dime a dozen." I can get a 13BT with the 5MT for $800USD if I really tried looking for a cheap one... but I'm not cheap. How much are SR20DETs and RB26DETTs over there? I can get a blacktop SR20DET for $1,600USD, and a BNR32's RB26DETT for $2,000USD from a guy my dad knows. Engines there are so much money from what I've been hearing lately... I guess the importers need the extra 50% they charge you.

That's way too much. My SR20DET that's in my Sil-eighty is a complete custom engine built by NISMO, and my dad payed somewhere around $4,500 for it.

The Jspec 3sgte mr2 clip cost me 3 grand.
3S-GTE's are probably one of the most wanted engines out here. It has many advantages that other engines don't. I don't respect many engines, but the 3S-GTE is one of those that I do. I'm not going to ask how much my dad spent on his... but I'm sure it's more than the "pretty penny" that he told everyone else.

I know I'm going to sound like those d*mn elitists that I hate but I would suggest a different car for the quarter mile. Just my opinion though. It would be a complete waste of a good balanced car. But it would be good though if you still went with it, for the sake of being different. Not that many drag 86s anyways, at least from where I live.

dude 13b in a corolla is all u need. I know a guy in Australia who's gotta 13b in a hachi and is pulling some really quick times. Don't listen to the guy above I've heard of Hachis dragging (light weight) Of course now everyone thinks Hachi = Drift and anything else is like sacrilege but whatever its your car.

BTW, I own a Corolla SR5 ('86) Just to clarify things the AE85 in America is the SR5 and the AE86 is the GTS. Both GTS and SR5s came in coupe and hatchback form. The SR5 came with a carbureated 4ac and the GTS came with the fuel injected 4ag. SR5 has a slower final ratio, a lot more choices in paint, and other random little things different than the GTS (like no lsd etc.)

I am also a member of Club4ag and its surprising how many people I meet randomly who are a part of club4ag. I went to Autobacs the other day and there was a guy from club4ag. I went up Angeles Crest Highway last weekend and met a guy with a 1st gen mr2 who has his picture in club4ag (last picture on pg 3.) My neighbor went to Drift Day 5 in his 240sx. Basically club4ag will answer all ur questions and more. This forum IS a gaming forum after all...

Oh and very nice corolla. Its nice and clean and i like the taillights. The interior is like sparkling its insane. I don't even have an interior. Oh and drifster is right about getting some stiffners. On my corolla the area right behind the doors on both sides are mad F*ed up (like crumpled in) I'm not exactly sure how that happened but chassis stiffeners are always a good idea on a car thats almost 20 years old. Nway hope to see some vids of u drifting (in GT3 or in real life) hehe
