You have to take into account the fact that we never had an SR20DET here. All of them are imported and in very high demand.

actually Xen, there are companies that can have a red top or black top, whichever you prefer. Sr20DET delivered to your doorstep for less than 3 grand. A friend of mine with a Nx2000 purchased one...And I know the "Blue bird model" which is the JDM Altima with a SE-R transmission for FWD as apposed to AWD, costs a little more than a normal RWD SR20DET.

Dont listen to the guy above. Drag racing is just ruining the car. Its a great car for drifting, thats why, as you say "Hachi=Drift'' Most people think this why? Because its almost 100% true. Hachi Roku's ARE great drift cars. And a 13b in a Hachi? You can go ahead, I'll stick with the perfectly fine engine already in it.

I am also a member of Club4ag and its surprising how many people I meet randomly who are a part of club4ag. I went to Autobacs the other day and there was a guy from club4ag. I went up Angeles Crest Highway last weekend and met a guy with a 1st gen mr2 who has his picture in club4ag (last picture on pg 3.) My neighbor went to Drift Day 5 in his 240sx. Basically club4ag will answer all ur questions and more. This forum IS a gaming forum after all...

Dude I know exactly what you mean! It's crazy isn't it, how wide-spread 4AG is? I was helping at a ClubRally in Oregon (Mt Hood) on Saturday and two other workers happened to be Club4AG members! They are not the first that I've met in the rally gig either.

Tom, you are officially on my.

"you're too cool to be a mod" list....

I thought I was the only person on GTP who felt the same way about the best 4 cylinder engine ever made..
Kudo's to you my friend.....And I don't mean the candy bar....unless you like the candy bar..
:) I'm not saying it's the best, but it's damn close to it... actually it could be the best I-4 ever made.... but who knows. Many of Japan's best cars have that engine equipped... All JGTC JZA80's have it, Top Secret's JZA80 has it (and my oh my is it pretty?), and of course... my father's infamous Hachi.

In about a week I'll have even more respect for the 3S. (see sig) Not a better 4 banger out there, IMO.
You're in the process of swapping? Sounds great. SW20's never came with 3S-GTEs? Not even the turbo ones?

You have to take into account the fact that we never had an SR20DET here. All of them are imported and in very high demand.
True... I completely forgot about that though...

And... screw Club4AG... they are a bunch of morons... well 90% of them at least...

um the 4age engine is proven not to be that great of an engine, its not powerful, and where am i gonna drift come on now a fast straight car is much more suitibale to where i live, and if i make a 12 second hachi then i bet it can drift as well

why the hell do you want such a high hp hachi???....if you want the fast 1/4 time then you should go look for a hks turbo...i saw one on ebay i think...pushes 250 hp or somethinkg like that....

We did have 3SGTE's, but I bought the car N/A and blew it up. :) So instead of getting a US-Spec 3S (not quite as potent) I got the entire rear clip of a J-Spec car. :D

I have also found a lead on a 1985 Corolla, 5 SPD. Coworker who went to look at it said it was a hatchback but doesn't remember if it said GTS. Are all the hb's GTS' or no? You don't even want to know how cheap this thing is. :)

I had 2 MKI MR2s, so I also have a love for the 4AGs. 1986 Red, hardtop with 4AGE and an 88 Black hardtop with 4AGZE. :D

No, pal, they arent high power engines, I dont think they're meant to be. If you wanna get fast '1/4 times' you should go out and get a Civic like everyone else, rice that out, and sell the 86 to someone who knows what they're doing with it. :)

i believe it's a Initial D related insult
I'd take that RX-7 and tune it for the track...but then it eats up gas like a monster. hmm....

is it a sports car no, why bother with it cuz its a sleeper trust i drive one and it doesnt even compare to any other sports car out there its slow, expensive to maintain, fairly good handling but what else can you do with it other than a drag car you cant drift on city streets really

and people on here saying some people dont deserve them, like wtf how do they noit seserve them when they came out in the states it was sold as a car with very good gas mileage, thats all its good for its an economy car that some people like to tune same catagory as a civic

Demographic reasons can further proven this... US don't have much support for Mazda parts... Japan does. Ford owns Mazda in the States, not to mention limited independent companies who supplies rotary-specific parts, so there really is no point for owning a RX-7 when most of the places are better suited for the Mustang and Corvettes. What if the RX-7 is broken in the middle of Death Valley? Sorry, can't help you... that's why it's expensive to maintain. You'll have to import everything from Japan, really, with shipping cost costing more than your sister buy her high heeled shoes for prom... same with the 86... it's better off as an economy car when getting the parts becomes a problem...

I have a video with a crap load of FD's and FC's flying down the highway to some place. Its not like a movie, its more of a documentary. They're all neat, but one is pink with messed up lights. Still awesome though. Why dont car mag's ever go to japan and fine super nice cars just sitting there? They could go 10 miles into the Highway at night, and find 60+ cover cars in a matter of seconds.
