Whilst I know that the N300 Xbox/GT40 at BMB is a faster way to earn credits, I find it so boring driving round a bloated circle.

My preferred race is using an N200 at the Dragon Trail race in the same Premium Sports Lounge championship. There are a number of cars that can do it at N200, some easier than others, and if you stick the car up to N300, you have loads of variety. A clean race in an N200 will net you 405,000 credits in about 19 minutes.

Here's a video of the N200 Ferrari Dino. Its power is set to 244bhp and the weight is at the lowest possible. It is on race hards at the front, and race softs at the back. The tyres are the single most important thing as putting harder ones on the front balances the cars out, and remains true for all cars whither they be FR or MR. The suspension was left at default, and the gearing was changed to an autoset of about 160mph.

The cars that can do this race at N200 are:
  • RX500
  • Dino
  • Alpine A110 '72
  • Fugu Z
  • 2000GT
The RX500 is by far the fastest, and therefore, easiest. It is also very easy to drive. The Dino is next, and then the others. I can do 1'51 laps in the Dino, but the RX500 is capable of 1'48s! The Alpine is the trickiest due it's RR configuration and the others a bit slower and cannot guarantee a clean race.

If you go N300, there are absolutely loads of cars you can use. A few of the more interesting ones are the 288GTO, Shelby Mustang, E-type, Pantera, & 911GT3 '01 to name a few. Just remember the harder tyres on the front rule.

It doesn't really matter which AI grid you get. The fastest are usually the F1, F40 and the Veyron. None should cause you too much trouble although you do need to watch out for the Veyron due to its immense straight line speed. Passing the Veyron is something that usually happens more than once as it can easily get past you on the next straight. The only other AI to watch out for is the LaFerrari which is not particularly fast here, but it will be sideways when you pass it.

Why don't you use medF/super softR ? is it to keep it challenging ?

Regarding the AI grid, am I the only one that gets the Laferrari in 9 times out of 10 ? This morning I tried tokyo for a change, and the Laferrari was gonna pass me just before the finish line, I try to block it, hoping it would slow down and I would win; it just crashed into me, sending me spinning in the walls...

I don't notice any difference between the supersoft and the soft, so I just use the soft.

Thanks for the tips @daan. I've been using the Fugu Z at N300 with weight reduction and RS at DT and Maggiore for a fun way to earn credits. It's an absolute hoot and a pretty easy win even with a few blunders. Now I know it can be done at N200 I'll give it a go with the mismatched tyres.

Good one , just did a race on Dragon Trail Premium Lounge with the Dino , as you said RH front and RS in the back give the car a good balance .
Phoewie what a difference in balance between RN front RN in the back and as you mention RH front and RS in the back .
Started with 249 Hp but there is definitely room to go with less HP in the car and still win the race .

Well you can't get away with any blunders to win in the Fugu Z at N200. I had to do the gearbox too. But the mix and match tyres make a huge difference. I kinda missed the wild nature of the car at N300 on RS all-round though. Dino next. I think I've earned enough tonight to buy one.

Did my second run with the Dino at Dragon Trail but now with 243 Hp and weight at the lowest setting , a 1.50.230 laptime if I'm free of the super fast AI .
Still lots of room to play with that horse and lower his power , so next time I will go for 235 Hp and lowest weight setting and for the tyres on RH front and in the back RS .
By the way the first race that I did was a 270.000 in the pocket but the second one knowing the track and car a bit better was clean and I could count 405.000 more on my bank account .

You dont have to put rh tires to front to make the car stable. Adjust suspension and differential. By putting rh tires you are decreasing its brake distance.
Yes, but quite a lot of people, like myself, wouldn't know where to start with a tune, or what does what, so putting different tyres on is an easy fix, and you can still out-brake anything else in the race.

235 Hp still 6 seconds over winning the race so should we go for 230 Hp .....hmmmmmm
Ok ...230 Hp it will be .

Have you tried to do it with the bmw m3 89' at N200? I've tried a couple of times, no success so far, but I think a better driver than me might manage.
Good idea gtpierre , did you put some salt and pepper in the car to boost the Hp or did you leave everything standard ?

It works with the car at max N300, but at N200 i'm too slow. I have lap times around 1:55 with the traffic and I always mess up when I try to go faster. I also got pushed in a wall by the violet porsche haha

Aaaaaaa........ almost settings for the car are 248 Hp ( to stay in the 200N Category ) 1080 kg front tyres RH and rear RS as Daan already mention it keeps the car in good balance again .
So close the problem is while doing your laps AI cars can hold you up at some places on the track I was at the last lap and 3 AI cars just in front of me could pass for a third place but after the last turn El La Ferrari passed me again 4 place for this time .
Best laptime 1.55 to but only if you are free of the AI .
Must give this another go perhaps having a bit of luck with which AI cars stand in the front line when the race start .

Ok I tried it again with the BMW M3 '89 , HP 248 to stay in the 200N category 1080Kg lowest weight but with RSS front tyres and RSS rear tyres best laptime 1.52.900 and first win .

Got a clean race in the N200 Fugu Z last night. There were quite a few lunges to get past the AI, and I was held up a bit as usual. I was surprised I got the clean race bonus as the One-77 knocked me off track, but it must have realised it wasn't my fault, as I collected the 405,000 credits.

Good to see when I watched your race that the game recognised the fault of the One-77 .
Had in the past also some races where I thought dammit clean race gone but got the clean race bonus anyway .
Daan the setup as usual Hp at max staying in the N200 class lowest weight and for the tyres front RH and rear RS ?

Yes. I usually change the gearing to ~150mph too.
Ok in fact it is a N300 car just done a race but that La Ferrari is in the straight line fast , lap 8 I'm behind him second place we playing cat and mouse F40 comes in to the party me taking a bit risk baaang saboem bye bye clean race became second .

I've been saving up so I could buy the Miura for 15 million. I got it today, but I'm annoyed that it can't go to N200. :banghead: The lowest it'll go is 247bhp, but it needs 244 to get into N200. Very annoying.

It is a beast at N300 though and I was in the lead by lap 5, so that's nice.

Strange because normally the moment you pas the 250 in this case 249 you should have the N200 cat .

A Hupla won the race with the Fugu Z comes with a little movie included .
After the race I went to the office to collect my money but they didn't want to pay me 405.000 but only 270.000 because it was not clean enough
pffffffffff you little bastards just because it was a inny tinny winny small kiss of love with the Porsche .
Anyway ...

I was disappointed it wouldn't go to N200. You can do the Lambo Cup races with it for a pretty good payout whilst having some fun. I think it's about 200k per six lap race with clean race bonus.
I sold the Miura after I'd done them and the Premium Sports a few times because there wasn't much else to use it for and I needed the funds to buy the Shelby Daytona. I regret selling it now because there's even less to do with the Daytona.

Another beast for this Dragon Trail race is the Ford GT40 Mark I '66:D

Second time out, running the Ford GT40 Mark I with a N300 tune, I took down the field by over 15 seconds, and was able to run laps of 1:47.005 and 1:47.001 when I had clean air:):)

The payout is $375,000 when you run a clean race.

I also tried @daan 's suggestion of the Ferrari Dino 246GT and found it quite nice!👍

After a number of races, I was able to win the Dragon Trail race with the Dino 246GT using a N200 tune, and was able to just barely crack under a 1:52 lap with a lap of 1:51.910::D:)

The Dino handles quite well with the suggested tire selection.👍

For money grinding I usually run the GT40 at Blue Moon Bay. It's an easy N300 win. I did win with an N200 Alpine at Maggiore once but I may have to give Dragon Trail a try.

I've been able to win the Dragon Trail race with the BMW M3 Sport '89 with a N200 tune, however, I'm not getting the "clean race" bonus since I'm leaning on the AI thru a couple of the corners.:guilty:

My best lap so far was a 1:55.373

Yes the BMW M3 Is a hard one I can win sometimes but for the moment I only had one race where I had a clean race this was also done with RSS front and RSS rear tyres .
As this was a bit of a easy win I stepped over to RS front and RS rear tyres now winning is still possible but clean is another pair of shoes .
Very good combo with this car and it drive great .
