Name a track you need practice at!

Nurburgring. I especially need practice on Flugplatz.

Le Mans....
Reason: I nearly finished the complete game..
only 3 gold-licenses are missing...and one of it is the &%"§%&$ one at Le Mans...
Not so easy with pad...and also not easier after you played a long time GT5P...
To me GT4 feels quiet like an arcade game compared with GT5P.....agree?

edit: the dirt and snow tracks I LOVE!!! I don't wanna sound vain but they whrere not so difficult for me...for example Charmonix license with the peugeot I did gold with the fourth try as far as I remember...
I look forward for ghe rally stuff in GT5...YEAH!

I think I need to practice at Suzuka to be fast... I'm not very good at it.
And also at Fuji 2005... It's hard for me to finish without going off the track! :indiff:

Fuji 2005 messes with my eye's or something, so much pavement, I never know if I'm on the proper slab. I dont understand why it's all paved, There's like no grass.

I agree. I always think of airport strips whenever I'm at Fuji 2005. It's like one of those massive, confusing airports with landing strips and taxiing areas everywhere.

Exactly, It messes with me so much, I love Fuji '90's and '80's, But the 2005 confuses me, I alway's think I'm off track and I'm actually on. Is that really how the track look's ?

I hate that track for the same reason and yep, that's exactly how it looks in real life now. I remember when they reopened it there was similar complaints irl from drivers and fans. It was done for safety because of how fast the track is, but give me a nice big sea of gravel anyay.

Me too. I really liked them so much. The 2005 doesn't look a circuit.

All the tracks in Prologue. I'm so used to the different physics, so the driving's different.

Opposite for me. Fuji 2005 F, GT and Suzuka were my worst circuits. But after racing on prologue for several months, exclusively on these circuits, I'm now pretty good at them :)

The cars have less grip, especially on sports tires, so the lines and braking points are way different. You can definitely feel a little difference, but I'm nowhere as fast as I was at Suzuka before.

I'm still faster on Suzuka in Prologue (Pro physics) than I am in GT4

There is a huge different between the two physics engines. You have to be far more careful on the throttle, thats all I can say.

On GT4 you could repeatedly tap the throttle to keep a constant pace through a corner

Up your throttle mid corner in prologue, you have spun, it's as simply as that.

Infact, playing Prologue made me far better at GT4. It taught me to control my throttle (And brakes) effectively :) Skills which transferred over the GT4 like a charm.

^Yes, I've gotten better at GT4 (And GT2) too, it's just the Prologue tracks that give me trouble for some reason.

Wow no kidding! How do the driving aids affect Prologue? Or does it even have Aids? Driving Aids, that is...

How is the Ai in Prologue? More clueless? Or better prepared? :D

Much better, they move to make way for you occasionally, they try to pass around you not through you when attempting to overtake, and they are more likely to make mistakes.

One thing I do notice, particularly in the late S-class races, is the AI drives very fast, I've never won S10 on professional :grumpy: Which is a good sign :) GT5 will probably be a challenge to complete (Without picking inferior cars or de-tuning by way of tyres, ballast etc. for every race), and not just a really long chore.

Oh yeah, the driving aids make a big difference. You can turn ABS off too  (Though its not advisable unless you own a set of pedals with decent resistance - so no DFGTs... I use the DS3 pad, ABS is a necessity).

OH man. Sorry guys, I thought you were talking about GT4 Prologue! Yea, I already have GT5P. A lot of the stuff described so far sounded like GT5P, and then Seismica said something about a DS3 and ABS. sorry about confusion. :indiff:

Suzuka is a douchebag to me. I can't get a perfect streak I have to touch the grass at least once. The beginning of the spoon curves trick me up. I sometimes fail to brake on time when going on top speed. Plus I believe that this track was used a little too much...

Ah sorry :D This is the GT4 forum lol.

I never had GT4 Prologue. I was put off, by how bad GT3 concept was.

Why was GT3C bad? Lack of cars? That would be my guess.

I think you're right, it is overused a bit, especially once we step from the World Cup to the Extreme races. I was just thinking how it's been ages since I raced at Trial Mountain or one of those original GT tracks. But I never get bored at Suzuka. It just focuses my attention way too much.

For me, other than the non-tarmac Rally circuits, the track that always gives me fits is, astonishingly, Motegi Speedway! The thing only has two corners and one of them I can't do . It's the one place where I feel the AI outdrives me as I have no idea how they can dive into Turn 2 with so much pace!

Exactly how I feel . But the AI has two braking points, and they come out of the corner slower than you do. They just brake later and get on the power later. But if I used the same braking points I would understeer wide, they must be using soft tyres or something, but then their tyres outlast mine, so I can't win :P.

If you go slow in fast out, on just about any corner in GT4, the AI is either going to get in the way, or crash into the back of you at some point.

This is exactly why I disagree with anyone who claims ovals are easy.

During my GT4 days, I would have said Suzuka. Since GT5P I know that track like the back of my hand.

I will have to go with Motegi road course, I'm simply useless at it. :indiff:

I'm not horrible at the Road Course, but I'm secretly happy (to this day) that Twin Ring East (instead of the road course) was used during TCV5. Oops guess it's not a secret anymore.

The only track that really is hard, is the nordschleife... doesnt matter how often you drive it, you will never be able to remeber each corner and each braking point.

also terrible: ice arena... who ever invented driving on ice, and than racing on it!? :odd:
