well after alot of guessing and an accidental discovery I managed to find a setup that can run low 55s so I'm now in contention at Indy yay :)

your download has gone up, but you really need a good upload to be the host. Well thats what i've always thought anyway.

It's not about pure speed, it's about less crap being attached to a data packet, and much higher stability in data packet delivery. Disconnects are rarely because of low speed, and are more likely because of.... a temporary disconnection caused by data packet loss. Wireless connections require extra packet encryption to ensure delivery that wired connections don't need.

but does it chew up the tyres though, it's one thing to go fast and another to go fast and not chew up your tyres at the same time

no tire wear seems to be good the truck handles great with a little pit of smoke from the right front going in but I'm still working on tuning that out it just needs a tick of loosening up and I will be running consistantly in the low 55s

Just to let you all know. I've got family event the 19th. So wont be able to make it.

Greatly appreciate the invite.

Correct, because if it was hardwired, it would be better, and way more stable.
I can speak to this, the primary reason that the Dodge series died and why I barely run many races anymore is because I don't have the money to go get a cable, and I live in the woods basically.
Here's what I have to work with :indiff:

Furi thought you said I needed to qualify in because I wasn't in the top twelve in points last season

Yeah for the first two points races at Daytona and Motegi... the Shootout is invite only, as a race winner you;re in... I expect a field of 10...

BUD SHOOTOUT ELIGIBLE DRIVERS REVEALED!

The Bud Shootout moves into invite-only status this year, with a number of drivers invited for a 40 lap dash featuring past series winners and polesitters. 13 drivers are eligible for this seasons shootout - they are:

Akmuq
Carbonox
Furinkazen
RedPartyHat
Spurgy

Smuffy
Jammy
ACDC
DrifterJoe
Matty

No Bull 97
Sumo098
Trynor88
OwensRacing
Rich S

Hopefully around 10 of them at least can make the race, which will start at the moment at the planned 8pm BST - this may change by up to 15 / 25 minutes later if it helps some of the american's get in however.

I bet if Furi didn't win the other day the Shootout would be open to everyone. In fact I believe he said it was beforehand :P

Also, Carb, my grammer is still prittier than your FACE!!!

glad to be a part of it and plan to be a member next season as well:sly::dopey::)

Needed a way of cutting down on entries...

it should be exclusive for the winners of the previous season and maybe a past champions provisional

This shows others how to run a NASCAR series as the 2 others are failing yet trucks are stronger than ever. Also with TOCA being the #1 touring car series then Furi is doing an excellent job as hosting his series.

I think this has one more season left at least until perhaps a change on cards for S8.

Been thinking, with the boost in entries (somewhat surprised I must admit), perhaps the pace car isn;t required.
