Well, the Raptors played Bosh-less for a 3rd straight game and finally lost to Portland, and my real life team just lost to a team in my absence (due to having stitches) that I didn't recall being very good, but that's a little OT.

ESPN is all over the Lakers-Heat game. These guys are SO biased against Miami in every sport. They only like New York teams and the Lakers.

What do you expect? Many call ESPN as the "Eastcoast Sports and Propaganda Network." I usually call ESPN the "Always Hate Houston" network because they can't seem to mention any of my Houston teams without mentioning them in a positive light. It's like when I see highlights of NFL teams beating my Texans on plays or anything.

I think my Rockets are still in the 10th spot. So if they are to really challenge for the 8th playoff seed, they need to make their moves NOW and maybe get some help from the other teams. If we do make it, I fear we'll be no higher than 7th.

Scary moment for Aussie Andrew Bogut as well :scared:, and a lot of resulting injury. Lucky he didn't land on his head.

On the Raptors front they're in a bit of a slump now, mid-season they were playing ace. Hopefully they'll still make the play-offs.

Well, I've stopped caring about this season since my Rockets are absolutely done. What's even more sad? We lost 130-something to 100 At Indiana, even though we beat Boston in Overtime with only nine men on the floor. The Rockets are D-O-N-E this season. Congrats to whomever wins the championship.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with Toronto, they came out of the All-Star weekend like crap and have been playing crap ever since. If they want a spot in the finals now, they need to win their last 2 games and the Bulls need to lose their last 2. They were in 5th at one point.......

The last few minutes of the Heat game were disgraceful.

I don't care who wins the championship now, Toronto are already out. I could hazzard a guess it will be Cleveland though.

What happened?

The two most clutch shots of the game were air balls, throwing away the game. And I think we were up by almost 30 at one point. Also, Garnett elbowed Richardson twice on the sideline (second time in the face) and started a fight.

I only watch basketball during the playoffs, so this was real disappointing. The Heat are usually a great playoff team with Wade.

K.G. used to be an athlete, maybe even an warrior, I looked up to. He turned into an lunatic sometime ago.....

Anytime your team lose such huge lead though, that is just disappointing. Celtics is one of those teams that you gotta stay on them for full 48 minutes. Time you stop attacking, and you start trying to protect your lead, you are in serious trouble. My Blazers usually get beat by them pretty bad, and it's not like with Cleveland either, where the officiating starts protecting the King, should he be in trouble. They flat out beats us in basketball, and in wrestling, fair & square. They are tough bunch.

Blazers got embarrassed. Game 1, Phoenix got calls against them, shots didn't fall, they lost by five. Game 2, calls went against the Blazers, shots didn't fall, they lost nearly by 30. Not good, man. Not good.

No Rockets in the postseason, but Aaron Brooks picked up "Most Improved Player" honors, I believe. Well deserved. He stepped up even with no T-Mac or Yao. He's a little guy who's made a big difference for my boys.

Blazers versus the Suns. I knew the series was pretty much over after the Game 2, but I attended the Game 3 anyway. I really thought the Suns pretty much exposed the Blazers offensive weaknesses(lack of outside shooting), and the Blazers will struggle every game from that point on. But I also thought that they would at least try to play hard, come out with some intensity, defend the home court by keeping the Game 3 close....... dead wrong.

I think the Phoenix still outhustled the Blazers when they had the game put away in the second quarter. That was dreadful, but when you are offered a ticket, you have to show support for you team, ya know? Spike Lee was at the game, I saw him chatting with my boss's boss's son(he works for Nike/Kobe). I think that was the highlight. :guilty:

Who would have thought Cleveland would drop in the conference Semis?! I sure hope Toronto can keep Bosh for next season.

What are you smoking?:sly: No, the only acceptable free agency grab is Lebron James to the Raptors.
There are people, who obviously are smoking something, who says the Blazers should push to acquire for King James' service. While that is a super tall order, James going to Toronto is a even longer shot IMO.

Yeah I know this, I honestly think James wil stay with Cleveland, unless they're about to lose a whole heap of good supporting players which I wouldn't know. Bosh and James together worked amazingly at the All-Stars game, but yeah it'll never happen.

It could go the other way around though. Bosh to Cleaveland, if the cap issue can be worked out, I can see that for sure.

On the Cav's support players, I think they should fire most of them, if not all. I'd start with Danny Ferry, the GM. I don't buy the team he's put together. I was somewhat impressed with the addition of Antawn Jamison, but that's about it. If I were James, only way I'd stay is if they fire the GM, and maybe the coach, too. Maybe.

You consider Mo Williams and Shaq bad support players? I really truthfully hope Bosh doesn't go anywhere, he's practically my favourite player in the NBA now. I also hope Demar Derozan has a big future ahead of him. Is it just me or is Jose Calderon actually a really good guard these days?

I don't really follow NBA that much anymore, but Mo & Shaq IMO are couple of most overrated players. Mo IMO has always been a overachieving, dime a dozen guard. Shaq, he was barely a quality starter by the time Miami & NBA stole the Championship from Dallas(exactly why NBA is just a hair more credible than pro wrestling). He can still do certain things well due to his size, but really, he's barely a starter on most teams IMO.

I love Bosh, and I do like Calderon. There was actually a time I wished the Blazers obtained Calderon to start at 1(point guard). But after getting Andre Miller in free agency, and realizing how tricky it can be to match Brandon Roy to a point guard(I still don't think they play well together), I'm really lost as to which point guard can integrate with my team(Blazers).

NBA Finals begin TONIGHT! The Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics will meet for the first time ever! They know NOTHING about each other, making it all the more interesting to see how these two teams will fare in winning the NBA Championship.

Okay, that was sarcasm. It's Celtics vs. Lakers for the 12th time for the title. Who wins and in how many games, GTPlanet? Something tells me it's going to be the Lakers in five games.

I like the depth of the Celtics, but I like the quality of the L.A. players better.

As a Kobe & Phil Jackson fan(and a KG hater), I hope the L.A. will take care of them this time.

I think it's a Boston year, they have stars in numbers over the Lakers, or would that be, more stars than the Lakers, and have been in fine form in the finals.

I really think it can go either way. I do feel pretty relaxed though, knowing that David Stern, and the guys in zebra suits also plays for the Lakers. :sly: Seriously, it should be close.

Well Lakers won game 1 pretty convincingly. I wish Toronto was in the Finals.
