I just thought I'd share this screen shot that I just saw on the espn.com home page. Does anyone else find that caption a little ironic given the score of the game?

I like it. 👍 They did have a huge setback though, and I hope this score against the Suns is the sign of things to come as they reach the Playoffs! :D

Just wrapped up... Rockets win over the Hawks tonight 114-109. Bad news is that the Hornets (who we host in our next game) won their game. Playoff hopes are hair-thin for us, but we still play like we believe. It was a good win for us against a game Hawks squad.

Congratulations to the Spurs and Nuggets in the ABC games.

Raptors beat the Magic today as well, DeRozan and Bayless (I like him now, hooray) came up big again, and Reggie had 17 rebounds.

Can't wait for BULLS vs CELTICS on Thursday! Chicago are going all the way to the Finals behind MVP DRose.

Hope the East finals ends up with a
Bulls-Heat matchup.

Game over, playoff hopes over (because the Clippers beat the Grizzlies earlier tonight), we're done. We failed 104-101. This season has been a train wreck from the start, and we're basically done for the playoffs. Rockets at the Hornets tomorrow night, but that game doesn't mean s:censored: now. We'll just be padding our win-loss record.

I'll go cry in the corner now. Congratulations to whoever wins the title. We'll just have to settle for next season.

Raptors got beat real good by the Knicks today.:indiff: There was no problem with offence, it was all a defensive melt-down by the looks of it. DeRozan had 36pts.

We're either playing to have a winning record or to finish .500 now. New Orleans is now in the playoffs after we failed 101-93 just now in New Orleans. Only us winning out while the Grizzlies start losing is our only hope of playoff magic. The Rockets fell to 41-38 on the season after this loss. We led by some 13 or so points early on... all for the Hornets to come bouncing back.

Up next for the Rockets- hosting the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night. I think the Rockets got too hot too late to make any significant noise. Having to play catch-up just meant we've been more desperate than ever before. And... we're paying for that by not making the 2010-2011 season playoffs. We failed too early and too often. With three games to go this season, a lot of help is needed for us to have that one last playoff push. But the way we're playing, we might as well prepare for next season rather than waste our time TRYING to better Memphis right now.

WTF, how do you lose to the Cavs?! I mean sure there was no Bargnani or Barbosa, but this same downsized team just beat Orlando and gave the Bulls a run for their money. Jerryd Bayless had 28pts, who'da thunk it?

AAAANNNNDDD the Spurs clinch the 1 seed in the West with last nights wipping of the kings. Noice! 👍 👍 + the only team to hit 60wins this season so far. We still have to go to LA and avenge that beatdown they gave us last month. Payback's a bitch. (I hope). My team scares me sometimes.

Probably face Memphis in the first round and get beat (sarcasm). Booooo, but seriously Memphis can cause trouble. Whatever we had one of the best seasons in franchise history. Can't wait to the Playoffs to start. Double header games everynight. RL will have to wait a bit.

It's Ball Night, peoples! NBA on TNT tonight:

* Celtics at Bulls
* Trail Blazers at Jazz

These should be two pretty good matchups tonight. These games are at least semi-final matches for their respective conferences. Enjoy NBA 'ball tonight!

The Heat need to get that no.1 or no.2 seed, man. While it would be great to crush the Knicks AND the Celtics, I'd much rather they took eachother out.

Poor old Toronto, they're missing 3 of their starters (4 if you count Kleiza who's been out all season, just like Oden almost :P) and their best bench player in a 5pt loss to Philly. Looks like Portland gave a6m5 a birthday present by beating the Lakers.

Simple- we got to beat the Clippers tonight; Memphis needs to screw up like hell to get that 8th Playoff seed (unless it's all too late). Our final two games: home vs. Dallas on Monday night, and at the Timberwolves Wednesday night.

Have a great weekend of NBA 'ball!

The Rockets are playing for pride now and just to pad their win-loss record. The penultimate home game of the regular season was tonight against the Clippers, and the Clippers got clipped (again). It was a 99-78 blowout victory for Red Rising.

Our final two games of the season (since there are no more playoff hopes for the Rockets): vs. Dallas on Monday night and at the Timberwolves on Wednesday night. So we started on the road (at the LAKERS of all teams!)... and will finish on the road.

That was quite a big game for Miami tonight, and I think Boston are 14-11 since the trade, I don't think they'll go too far in the play-offs, they're just not the same team any more. Toronto beat the Nets tonight even though they're still missing 6 crucial players to injury.

I found out via Twitter that we failed 98-91 in Overtime to the Mavericks. As much as I love my Rockets, it's sad we can't beat the other two Texas teams consistently or with regularity. Almost as if we have to keep conceding defeat in the battle among the NBA's three Texas teams. Either concede or just not have enough to win. I hope the Rockets can get as much quality talent (or make the most of what we have already) to really get back to playoff form and perhaps becoming a consistent and formidable challenger. We haven't REALLY been that since the T-Mac and Yao days. We sure as hell haven't been great since the Clutch City NBA Championship days (what I would REALLY love to see the Rockets return to form as).

We failed again, and yet again to a fellow Texas team. Our sad (but winning) season ends in Minnesota on Wednesday night.

Looks like Portland gave a6m5 a birthday present by beating the Lakers.

:sly:

Going to the game tomorrow, against the Griz. Last home game, another game at Golden State to conclude the regular season. Blazers, Hornets & Grizzlies are within 1 game of 6th, 7th & 8th in the Playoffs standings, so every game by every one of those teams could cause a shift.

I think Memphis could make some noise. Blazers, I don't know. Addition of Gerald Wallace definitely helped, but we really need the guards to step up.

Woo! We got that #2 locked up. Now the Knicks and the Celtics will have to take eachother out-- my two least favorite teams in the league.

Haven't been watching the Knicks, but are they anymore than a speed bump for Boston? I realize the Celtics has lost some muscle in Perkins, but they still got unbelievable amount of depth, chemistry & experience over NY.

I don't really care. I just want the Celtics to go down, and then we can stomp the Knicks with Pat Riley's alligator shoes.

Just got back from the Blazers' last regular season home game. Other than the free meal bracelet + the team poster(handout, every last home game), it sucked. Neither team looked like they cared who won. It sure didn't look like two Playoff teams, rather two lottery teams playing their last meaningless regular season game.

The Rockets unfulfilling, disappointing, too-little-too-late season ends tonight in Minneapolis. Only true positive is that we will finish with a winning record after starting 0-5. I just hope we can get a lot more help for 2011 (how about not starting the season at a powerhouse team for a change?). Win or lose, it means nothing at this point. They just have to win so they can look forward to the 2011-2012 with some promise.

If any other teams are playing tonight, best of luck to those teams tonight.

I want to see the Mavs push for the #2 seed, but you never know.

These playoffs this season may be more interesting than most. You've got 6 teams (3 from the west & east) that can win the whole thing, but you also have a couple of teams that can surprise (OKC, Knicks maybe?)

As for the finals, expect the Lakers to lose first round, along with the celtics. That's my tip at least.

Finals winner: Dallas Mavericks, only because they're my team. 👍

The Rockets just completed their season. We won 121-102 at Minnesota. The big winner in all of this is coach Rick Adelman. With this win, he is now all along in 8th Place in all-time NBA coaching wins with 945 wins.

No playoffs for the Rockets, but I can only hope the next season will bring much greater promise than the disappointment we've faced this season. I do believe we will do much better next season with a pretty talented unit. We got hot too late. And so, no playoffs for Red Rising. I'm still damn proud of my boys for playing as hard as they did. We'd be going to the NIT... that is, if the NBA had something like the NIT.

Again- Rockets win 121-102. We finish the 2010-2011 season 43-39.

So guys, who are your picks for the play-offs round 1? Here's mine:
MEM vs SAS = Spurs
NOH vs LAL = Lakers
POR vs DAL = I think could go either way, but I'm personally backing Portland, should be a good series
DEN vs OKC = Oklahoma I think, but could be close.
IND vs CHI = The Bulls
PHI vs MIA = Really? Could the Heat lose this in any way?
NYK vs BOS = Possibly the most exciting first round series, I think the Knicks personally
ATL vs ORL = Probably the Magic.

Here are my picks:

Spurs in 4
Lakers in 5
Portland in 6 (I hate the Mavs)
Oklahoma in 5
Chicago in 4
Miami in 4
Knicks in 7 (Spike Lee will make a movie about it. Then Pat Riley's custom-made gators will step on his dreams)
Orlando in 5.

So then we agree 100% except I didn't hazzard any guesses at the number of games it will take them.
