I've played the game before a6m5, and so far the anti-flop rules, at least in my view, did keep Miami away from the free throw line against the Celtics at least. I agree though the Kevin Durant type fouls are bogus.

I believe the rules should return to Jordan era. But people hate defense for some reason.👎

Yeah, there must be a balance to officiating, but we just can't seem to agree where to draw the line.

Interesting that you should mention the Jordan era officiating, but you probably remember how NBA was freaking out over the defense retarding the scoring average in games, what, ten years ago? I keep telling people, today's players are physically more gifted, but they are generally 1) Not as skilled as the players of decade or two ago 2) Not as good of team basketball players either

Guys who can shoot, or create are some kind of commodity these days. Combine that with the fact that defenders are now faster & stronger doesn't help either.

I'd love more physical NBA, but I think we need more capable scorers in the league first to make it work.

New Jersey Brooklyn Nets win their first game ever. 107-100 over Toronto.

Blazer broadcasting on the radio says the fire alarm must have gone off in the Toyota Center.

Sorry John. It's not over yet.

Damn it... first swoon for the Rockets this season. Trail Blazers come into our house and beat my boys 95-85 in Overtime. Not the home opener we were hoping for. Rockets now 2-1.

Damn we slipped by the Nugs! Wade and LeBron SUCKED so Bosh said screw this imma do it myself. 40 points! Oh and Ray chipped in too.

Heat are 2-1.

Last season or two, overtime's been automatic loss for the Blazers. Our new rookie point guard's influencing our character, and so far, fans are in love with this kid. :)

I will say this about Portland. I heard Damian Lillard is a VERY good player. He'll be an integral part of Portland to drive the Trail Blazers to any kind of postseason berth. You all got a great player in Mr. Lillard, Portland.

Other scores I picked up...
* It took one Overtime for Portland to beat Houston. It took TWO overtimes before Indiana won 106-98 at home against Sacramento.

* It was a happy night for Brooklyn folk as the Nets won 107-100 over Toronto (sorry, Paulie).

* Denver's back-to-back tour of Florida ends up in a loss. It was 102-89 at Orlando on Friday night, and then a 119-113 loss tonight at Miami.

* The Hornets stung Chicago 89-82 in Chi-Town. New Orleans picked up a nice win. Stavingo feeling great, sumbrownkid... not so much.

* The Bucks were cold hard cash as they won 105-102 at home against Cleveland.

* That didn't last long. Dallas smacked the s:censored: out of Charlotte as they got caught up in the emotion of winning one in a row. Dallas prevented the Charlotte Bobcats from triple-digits with a 126-99 beat down.

* San Antonio handled the Utah Jazz by ten. The black and silver boys rocked the Jazz 110-100.

Congratulations to all other winners.

Wow, Nola won against the Bulls without the brow, I hope Vasquez has a breakout season 👍

Bulls went for a paltry 8-38 on offense with the starters. Give credit to NOLA they just simply outworked us. Thibs will make sure his boys are in the dog house til the next game.

This is why Derrick Rose is that important.

And yes John, I was a very unhappy camper that night.:grumpy:

I need my Bears to win now.👍

Yeah I heard the starters had a poor shooting performance the first half and weren't really hitting anything from deep.

These types of games are going to be quite common in the first half of this schedule. Bulls always end the regular seasons strong through.

Rather have the issues ironed now and build as much of a cushion as possible in the event that Rose indeed makes an early return.

With the state the Lakers are in, I figured the first win will come from a team like the Pistons(down & out), but I see the score's getting closer.

Lakers should come out OK, even if the garbage time make the score even closer. What will this mean? Nothing, except the Pistons are pathetic.

Nothing more than a much needed win to boost the team's spirits. They're up against Utah & Golden State next, while not perfect, are off to much better starts.

I am worried about Oklahoma though. Harden's effectiveness on the team last season seems to be really showing now that he's gone (though it did also show in the Finals as well). New York off to a good start as well.

Whoo! The Raptors win their 1st tonight against the Rubio/Love-less Timberwolves. Lowry and DeRozan have been great so far this season.

It takes few weeks. Not worried about OKC, Lakers, or bother noting the Knicks' I think 2-0 start?

Teams, players, coaches, they are generally still rusty at this point in a season anyway.

OKC is having issues with turnovers. Not hugely surprising, the Thunder has had turnover problems in the past. In the two losses, turnovers/points off turnovers has been the difference in the games. In the one win, the turnovers/points off turnovers was even or nearly even.

And we generally lose, but yeah, considering the player(s) you are missing, I'm surprised by the margin we lost by.

Stotts & Carlisle know each other well, obviously(i.e. playbook). Maybe Stotts got outcoached. :dopey:

Minnesota 32
Brooklyn 10

Yeah, if you get outscored by 22 in the 4th quarter you usually will lose.

Tonight is the first NBA Fan Night of the season- whereas fans vote for the game they want to see on Tuesday night on NBA TV. Here are tonight's games:

* Orlando Magic at Chicago Bulls
* Toronto Raptors at Oklahoma City Thunder
* Detroit Pistons at Denver Nuggets

And the one getting face time tonight is...

...Raptors at Thunder! Both teams are 1-2 heading into this game. I will have to wonder what TOR can do against OKC tonight. It will be hellishly tough to play at Oklahoma City. Maybe the Raptors can steal one tonight. Maybe...
