I'm sorry, how many D Rose's or Luol Deng's were you guys missing?

Lose Kyle Lowry or DeRozan and then try to make the playoffs with a dead last offense to begin with. :P

Don't get me wrong, I'm giving the Raptors credit for pushing the Nets (again Jason Kidd is not the answer for coach), but Lowry is a flopper.

And Pierce may have not been that great, but Lowry got shown why he's called the Truth with that block.:D

Ooooo my bias is out in full swing!

Internet fight! I'm happy for you to express your bias, but that Flopters comment was a little below the belt my man. But just for some light hearted fun (please don't take the following seriously). Aren't you Bulls fans always claiming Noah is the best centre in the league? Are you meaning to tell me that even with the best player at his position you couldn't beat a lower seeded Wizards in the first round?:sly: I'll give you Lowry does flop more than the average NBA player (all NBA players flop a lot these days), but he lead the NBA in charges taken as well, you have to sell the calls because refs are blind! Lowry puts his body on the line like few can/do.

The thing there is if they get Lowry to resign. I've heard a lot of Mavs fans thinking Cuban should throw him an offer if he can (I have no idea if our cap room can accommodate him, even with Dirk's cut). This should actually be a really interesting summer with how many big names will become free agents.

Don't hold your breath, Lowry has been saying things like, in reference to the Raptors, "This is only the start for us", "This is the best group of guys I've ever played with in my career, in my life". He's been saying other stuff too that strongly indicates he wishes to remain in Toronto, and the organisation will want to keep him unless he demands a rediculous contract. Toronto may on the other hand acquire Vince Carter from Dallas. We'll need to replace Salmons, and Carter seems to have expressed interest in finishing his career with Toronto.

The Conference Semifinal games are coming up. Good luck to all remaining teams.

If anyone looks to start a discussion... of all the teams ousted from this season's playoffs (HOU, DAL, GS, MEM, ATL, CHA, TOR, and CHI), what team(s) could make the playoffs next season? Which one will be the most improved and may possibly go further next playoffs than they did in this season?

Have at it and enjoy some NBA basketball.

Random prediction time! Atlanta was 3rd in the East before Horford got injured and Teague continues to grow at an alarming rate, I say Atlanta gets better next season. Dallas are likely to get worse due to their age unless they happen upon signing a big free agent. Rockets/Warriors could go either way, and I suppose Grizzlies are in the same boat. I think the Hornets will get worse because they won't have a high draft pick (unless they own someone else's) and won't be able to lure free agents. So by virtue of the rest of the conference getting better they'll get worse, plus their smelly offence.... Raptors, I am too biased to comment. Their core group will almost certainly remain unchanged, but they will grow. Bulls will be the most improved IMO (happy @sumbrownkid?), they'll sign Melo, Rose will return and fingers crossed stay healthy and that right there is enough to make them contenders pretty much (on paper at least, see: Knicks).

Funny you say that because Vince actually expressed the same concern to stay with Dallas.

I'm never happy!:D

For the Bulls their main weakness is injury, and Thib's time management. To be fair to the coach, our bench is not deep at all. Get a good bench, and with Melo and Rose, as well as the rest of the team staying healthy, I say we can take on the Miami Least.:D

Michael Jordan > Lebron James all day baby.

And Noah is the best center in the league, especially when it was coaches that voted him to win the DPOY. Nene just had the benefit of playing with players that can make shots and not being Carlos Boozer. Besides, next year, Nene will be seeing plenty of Rose and Melo (PLEASE COME) dunks over his smug face.:mischievous:

And let me just say that the Warriors are the dumbest organization right now by firing Mark Jackson.

So here's the voting results for MVP...

Yeah... Not close at all.

Oh well, it probably doesn't matter either way, he's not a big difference maker.

Sort of like when the Grizzlies fired Hollins, I was like "Whaaaaat?"

Well looks like Brooklyn is gonna be on vacation soon.

Let's go Heat!!

Sort of like when the Grizzlies fired Hollins, I was like "Whaaaaat?"
Or you know, when the Nuggets fired their coach of the year in George Karl, and their gm of the year, Massuri Uruji or however you spell it, all because they wanted to have Javale McGee play more.

Brooklyn will need to avoid becoming the first team in NBA history to sweep a team in the regular season and then get knocked out by that same team in the playoffs. They will not avoid that.

Looks like Hibbert responded to his game 1 slump.

@Blitz24

Chicago already did that back in 2011 when the refs pulled hard for Miami.:grumpy:

Yeah I'm still salty about that. But it's ok because we also saw Jesus, aka Dirk Nowitzki, beat the Heat.

In other news... R.C Buford, of the spurs, is GM of the year...
Ryan McDonough is second.. Yet again the Spurs still manage to screw PHX over without us making the playoffs.

For a comparison: Buford added Marco Belineli.

Ryan McDonough turned Jared Dudley and Luis Scola into Eric Bledsoe, Gerald Green, and Miles Plumlee.

It seems this and Coach of the year were lifetime achievement awards...

Steven Adams is the biggest POS player in the NBA. He instigates everything including with Griffin tonight and then walks away smirking. Refs completely oblivious to him throwing elbows and purposely bumping into other players because he's an OKC player. Seriously hope his career doesn't last long.

Edit* And the other scumbag of the NBA, Flop King Fisher doing his work.

Sometimes I wonder if he has a Bruce Bowen-type role on the Thunder, and it seems like his only talent is pissing people off, he does it really well too.

Easy flagrant on Blake missed when he practically headlocked him. POS garbage player.
Steve Kerr was trying to act like Blake was instigating the fight. Come on.

Apparently, Steve Kerr just loves it and Doc Rivers is trying to keep Griffin from reacting. If he tried this in the Eastern conference against someone like Garnett, well...let's just say he'd remember real fast he's a rookie. East conference isn't as strong as the West, but I love the rough house the teams aren't afraid to dish out.

forget Bruce Bowen and his clown bow tie.

LMAO @ the announcer, "You think they'll give Durant an assist even though he's on the bench" after Westbrook was gifted an assist just to get a triple-double. People are insane if they don't think the league shows more than love for this team.

I just found out Baynes had 10pts and 7reb off the bench for the Spurs in game 1, awesome!:dopey:

It has been over a week since Portland put my Rockets out of their playoff misery in Portland on that miracle 3-point shot from the Pacific Ocean coastline. I feared that shot would be the top play on the Top 10 Plays on NBA TV's "The Starters." And... I was dead right. Such highlights are entertaining to watch... as long as it isn't your team getting beat. That one actually hurts even more than a game my Texans once played a few years ago, when they blocked a Hail Mary pass at Jacksonville... only to have one Jaguar catch the batted ball and head into the end zone for a back-breaking, heartbreaking, game-winning touchdown.

But back to basketball. Sadly enough, the BKN/MIA and POR/SA series may not last much longer. ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption" even wondered if both of these series are basically over with San Antonio and Miami respectively well ahead of their series opponents.

There will be at least a Game 5 in the Brooklyn/Miami series after tonight. Brooklyn slapped around Miami like the Nets were playing the Heat at Rucker Park or something. It was a 104-90 victory for Brooklyn. As of the time of this post, it's 60-40, San Antonio over Portland at Halftime in Portland. Where's that Lillard magic in this one?

San Antonio has simply won this series. That Lillard magic seems to have fizzled out.

As for the Clips and OKC, it was a complete borefest for the first three quarters until the 4th. The Clips guaranteed themselves a game 6 now.

Griffin got sack whacked in the first minute of the first quarter.:ouch: Not the way I'd want to start a game, but at least for him he got the W (although he may have been exacting revenge since he had 5 fouls in the 3rd I think).
