No racing for me on Sunday chaps, I have an important event to attend (wedding expo... fml) so wont be able to race. Hopefully in my absence someone will take care of the b!tches.

Professor bogan will translate this for the rest of you. Mr autech has been told to attend a function with his partner so they can choose the appropriate ceremony with which to celebrate his loss of freedom and no longer having his own opinion. What he should do is look her in the eye, and say have much you love and trust her to make the right choice for the wedding because the only reason a man gets married is for the honeymoon sex lol. And don't show any interest. It's best she gets use to this now or she will expect it in the marriage as well. Hahahahahaah good luck mate and only joking:sly:

Have decided not to include pole and fastest lap times any more. Last series the winner was the fastest lap time and in these cars pole is a great advantage anyway. Just trying to make it a close a possible so consistency will win. Not who had the most poles or fastest laps. But will reinstate them if the majority whish to do so. I am open for ideas as I want to make this as fun as possible for everyone to enjoy. Not just what I want. So any ideas hit me with them

A question on tyres: Must we run the soft set in the same outing? Ie can we go for a soft/hard for two stints? In theory you'd only be using 4 softs... Just a thought. I think this may work with my driving style but haven't tested it yet

All good mr chance. Great race yesterday by all. Has anyone watched the replay yet? Would love to watch the battle Sid and I had. Went from lap 17 to the finish nose to tail until I had absolutely no brakes on the last lap.

I have watched some of the replay and was a cracking race up front from start to finish. Rage will get some photos. Lap time were very close as well. Just got to do oil change before next race. From lap 20 my little blue car struggle with 15 less hp but oh well enjoyed it anyway.

I personally don't see a problem with it as u said is within rules. So if no-one else objects I guess that is a strategy all can use. Will let rager know and as chief stewerd he has final say

Sweet, just wanted it above board so all will have the option if they've not already thought of it themselves. That said I tested it last night, not too sure if it'll be a winning strategy or not...

Steward I can see this could be more trouble for both my self and as drivers. As steward more time for replays to make sure your tyre set is right. And as drivers same deal and if you screw up instead of a good finish you will be back down the bottom.
Just my personal opinion

Hmm, Well as a driver the risk is on me. And in a 1 hour race I think it would still be only a 2 stop race going by my testing. I'm quite keen to run this this weekend as I have quite heavy front tyre wear due to my 'throw her in and hope for the best' driving style. So unless anyone objects... 👍👎?

We all have heavy tyre wear due to the fact that the fronts do all the work and that's why we run the same tyres. But if we are to go any where with this it needs to be a all in decision.

I reckon last season was the best I've been involved in. had some of the best races with great races. Racing on level playing field to me adds to excitement. Mixing up tyres is going to be more work for rager and chance to police. I think they both put in enough work as is. If i see a car coming up very fast i know there on softs and give them room. If its mixed up I'm not going to know what there on and fight more which might end up with more tears. If we are all on same sets of tyres not mixed and i get smashed i know i need to pick up my driving.(as i do). But if your lucky enough to be fighting for a podium and you get one, its a hell of a buzz knowing doing it the same way. Just my thought. Im happy with what ever is decided just love racing good clean guys and a bogan. Sorry dad had to throw that in. lol. cheers emu

Very sorry boys but the stupid footy club has moved my boys game to 11am Sunday are all available for 1.30 start qld 2.30 nsw

I'm looking to do a hard front/soft rear. Like I said I want this above board. I've tested it briefly and this combo for me is 2secs a lap faster at GP/F than running Hard/Hard. Never got time to do a Soft/Soft run, but one would figure that would be another two secs faster again... Could make things interesting or as Emu pointed out, more trouble than its worth as not many will try it.

We could always trial it this weekend then see what people think.

This is the motorcyclist coming out in me, as in road racing you rarely run the same compound front and rear :D

I guess Mr autech after series one we found soft were 4 seconds a lap faster on tracks like nur gp. Running soft on the front in both stints in the Nissan would be a huge advantage owing to the lack of tyre wear on the rears. In the camaro your strategy would not work owing to the hp but in these things the rear seems settled on hard and soft tyres. As Mr rage said. Would be hard to police and kind of defeats the purpose of the tyre regs we now have. In most races there is a difference between people who are fast on soft and hard tyres. Also the reason for the tyre regs is to introduce strategy. The key is how long you think you can get your soft to last and get on them at the right time. As you saw at Rome. I got 26 laps on soft and streaked away. (First time for everything).

The people have spoken! Yes I remember Rome well...
It was just a thought and in the interest of close racing (the reason I race) I'll skip the Hard front soft rear idea.

Should be good racing this weekend, I do like GP/F alot. How are peoples lap times looking

Yeh keep it the same, otherwise its just more for us old blokes to think about, it's ok for you young blokes Autech, your head is still functioning properly, although you are thinking of getting married so... hmmm lol

Yeah best keep the current tyre selections. If I put soft/hards on I'd never need to stop and would be 3 seconds per lap quicker then anyone on hard/hard. Leave the regs for closer racing

yes agreed, if the soft/hard combo is used then the no. of laps need to be changed too for each race. I would suggest just keep it the same for this season.

With regards to driving style, I would hope that each race is an improvement :)

Best advice I can give you autech is you have the speed, just making to many mistakes. Once you get the consistency, you will push Sid and Vh every race. Plus each track suits different driving styles. Mr emu is quick at trial mt and spa. I'm quick on street circuits and Vh is quick everywhere. Just horses for courses lol

Thank you Jedi Master Bogan. I prefer street circuits (as rome and Monaco showed). My goal for this weekend is to stay off the grass... I've got good hard pace (I think) so hopefully I can show VH a thing or two about a thing or two :D

Did some practice runs before best time of 2:12.192 on hards. Has anyone managed an 11?

Can't believe how close the lap times are and Mr emu stole my time on hard tyres. Identical down to the thousandth of sec incredible lol:scared:
