[NE-21194400] Error

Just remember not to close GT Sport when you set the PS4 in sleeping mode, if you don't close GT S, you can then play all the offline content you want, like campaign and arcade and wait for the servers are working again, the only problem, if you want to play another game after GT S and the servers are still down, you can't if you don't want to loose all progress you have done in GT S.

I don't know if you can log in with a second account and play other games as a guest while GT S is running though.

I'm on. Change your car a few times seems more successful than just reconnecting.

Now I'm on the news says it's an issue between PD and the Psn network, not actually down PD servers.

Why they don't simply enable local saving just like it was in the pre 1.06 version of the closed beta.

If you don't want to get your files modded simply don't allow "security copy" of the file in a pendrive...

Hasn't to be hard to develop that in end 2017....

Let The PS4 in rest mode until servers are back up....yeah... Sureee PD... We are back in the 80's? That we let the Nintendo nes powered on meanwhile we went to school, so we were able to continue the game when back... Because otherwise once powered off you gotta start again from the beginning..

Well....i a bit older now, don't gonna let my ps4 in rest mode for hours consuming energy for "nothing".
And now we also pay for the online services... Not like in PS3 era...

Happy 20th anniversary PD??:banghead:

Local saving now!!!!!

Meanwhile gonna play some Pcars 2 & Assetto Corsa offline career... That strangely saves progress even without Internet.... Wow modern sorcery :D
Pcars 2 you can save without no internet, why can't PD do this with GTS.

Yeh a save for DR/SR and cars performance being online saved separated from offline content would be nice. People will always find a way to grind or hack the rest, as long as it didn't effect me they could hack and grind all they want.

You can tick the box in the GTS connection message so its not constantly displayed

Same issue here, London UK.

Didn't we learn with the SimCity debacle in 2013 that always-online for single player games is rubbish and we shouldn't do it?

Obviously that memo never reached PD. :banghead:

I was thinking about SimCity this whole time, that was funny. I think their application is more towards their desire to run the game as a service (as per their words) like other 'esport' games, such as LoL, Dota, CS:GO, which are always online. Problem is this isn't a genre that works like that. I bet the 'memo' reached them, it's just that they chose against it anyways.

This means I'll probably lose all the work I put into a livery that maybe could have waited until I can reconnect. Unless putting the PS4 in sleep mode is fine. Hopefully this mess will mean we get offline saving later down the line cause this is ridiculous.

Livery’s save, I tried it myself it’s profile related things which don’t save i.e CR,Mileage

But we are not complaining about the servers that host GTP, we are complaining about the servers that host GTS and the error most players get, what is it and why can't we connect?
Who is going go short this out and when?

Sorry for quoting you GA 52.
Thanks Drew - no worry, I'm just so darn frustrated ... 17 hrs now - and I still don't get the "picture" on how the various servers working "together", to let us play online..... I would like to understand how it can happen and as you said .. "why can't we connect?"
At least they should let us be able to save on our local playstation from the GT League. That way we can save up some more money/milage and experience. Merry Christmas! :)

Yeah, EA are very much about 'games as service' model and milking as much money over a long period of time as possible.

I get the feeling more PD just wanted to develop an online-only GT game, realised too late that they couldn't sell it full price on that alone - see Titanfall 1 - and tried to add a regular single-player but never quite finished it, hence the limited track/car roster and no GT League until now, and forgot about offline savefiles.

A little heads up for those who are planning to put the PS4 and GT in sleep mode in order to save the progress for later: Make sure you have enabled this in the system settings on your PS4.

This moring I found out that I had not…:banghead:

Anyways, Merry Christmas:cheers:

Even with this settings didnt work for me. İ drove whole time (about 4 hours) circiut experience when i was offline, then i tried to reconnect by put into sleep mode (without quitting game).

Uselessly all progress was lost.

Anyone notice (along with this insane issue) that on the gt site the preview update pic for gt league shows more races than what there actually are? Kinda mad about the shortness of it and the weak power restrictions. My high powered cars wanna roar and they are barley driveable because of this. Even lobbys are slim.

As for current issue I am losing my "X" button I've pressed so much. A "few" thousand times.

Sadly Sony does NOT have a track record of fixing issues like this quickly. Remember when all of PSN got hacked a few years back? Was down for weeks iirc.
Think of all those kids getting it for christmas, go to set it up. Oh :banghead: Major revenue loss for newcomers who will pay to get a +account.
Well, they have only themselves to blame.

Ah, The bitter sweet irony of today being the 20th anniversary of the game.

I wonder how many cartons of cigarettes Kaz has gone through while dealing with this issue?

Well, if you want to actually play something online, my advice would be to get refunds on this non-functioning game like I did and by something that doesn't depend on online saves.

What does he care? He's made his money and he's on his holiday.
