[NE-21194400] Error

This incident should be taken seriously for future updates to quickly implement offline saving. That's the only way to stop people for cancerous and harsh raging. Man... I can't even read those Tweets which is mind boggling and even got me some headache....

However, I admit that's how the realm of online focused concept, not just GTS but some titles also having similiar issues as I heard. What makes me wonder though is how on earth mobile games which is most of them were online based can work properly most of the time? I used to played mobile games (took a break for while now) and it works anytime and anywhere without server having trouble like GTS did. Does online system work in console and mobile is different or actually just the same? Can someone explain this? Sorry for asking things like this but I really curious about the difference and similarities from both sides.

Also, I already seen a lot of people asking (and possibly spamming comment section) for offline save at GT account. Just matter of time when PD gonna put those things up I guess. Hope they are really listening to people wishes...

One last thing, since everything is back to normal now I hope you guys have a blast and happy holiday! :D

I'm still ot able to go online. But now I get a different message than before. "You must be connected to the server in order to proceed". I'm connected to PSN and have started to download a 27B update for another game I got for christmas.

Seems my only option to get around this bug is to close GTS and loose all progress.

Change car, sometimes helps

I've tried. I also tried Kaz' tips about trying to reconnect several times on the row.

Only work around for me was to close the game (completely) and start over. I lost my birthday gift (was a car I already own) and a couple hundred km on the record.

After closing the game, it now connects perfectly fine. It was a bug, not a connection issue.

I see some of the members got offended.
Remember when psn was down for 3 weeks back in 2011? Imagine what kind of hissy fit would some of fhe gt fans have if that happend today? It is an online oriented GAME, down time is expected.

Not offended. I just can’t stand it when people decide to become apologists for an asinine design choice. Like I said in my initial posts, from the beginning, virtually everyone wanted online-only saves gone because of events like this, so when they happenen, the backlash is warranted.

And I’m not sure why you bring up the PSN outage. Even that didn’t stop people from playing their games all together. Not to mention it was a free service back on the PS3, so yeah, you can bet if something like that happened again people would be mad since they have to pay for it now.

Wich car or cars do you recommend?
The act of changing your car causes a save (and thus potentially a reconnect) that differs slightly to the usual save game menu selection. I know this because often it was the only way to save without crashing the game in the open beta.

It doesn't matter what car you chose.

Even if it were always online and we weren't able to play at all this weekend, I would STILL take that over playing with a bunch of modded cheaters. That's my take.

I wouldn't. I assume you're saying that GT Sport's online saves are most likely in place to stop the hackers and modders from GT6, but you'd even rather have the entire game online only than deal with those people???

Again, I wouldn't. There's never gonna be an excuse for a full price game being always online in my eyes. Especially not one like GT Sport, the Crew, or NFS that literally has no reason to be always online. The Crew has done almost nothing that TDU 1 didn't do 11 years ago and I've actually never played that game online. I know how it worked because it worked the same in TDU 2 for the most part, but I didn't get into TDU 1 until the servers were down thanks to Gamefly going under. Still put tons and tons of hours into it.

Racing games are mostly about the gameplay and especially the GT series, people could play them for years without ever going online (since the first 10 years almost of the GT Series, there was no online play).

Even to avoid hackers, I'd never accept an always online game. Unless it's real cheap. Like Battlefield 1943. $10. That I could deal with and it was worth the money. But I would never pay $30 let alone $60 for a game that's essentially a glorified rental.

4 days off, 2 days on... and now off again.

Well well well... guess who's downloading Forza 7 right now, after so much wasted time during holidays.

Too right. I check in with GT every few weeks and since it's still crap I stick to playing Forza and also enjoying NFS payback and Hot Pursuit 2010.

I'm playing over a week now. I did the 30 laps endurance, finished the training, have over more than a million in credits and now I cannot save. I'm also too afraid to restart, meaning each time I play, I have more to lose now.

Changing cars (arcade -> single race -> change car) did not help me save it. nor clicking the reconnect button a thousand times. Any ideas how to make this work?

Did they change server IPs? What does the patch actually solve? Can I add a destination NAT to my router and perhaps redirect the current connections to the new IP addresses?

This is so frustrating.

I have same problem too and I have got 2 different failure codes when try to enter.

NE-21194400 and NE-21000409 (did you remember? few years ago same problem occured with this code)
