need better settings at the Nurb for my group C/Prototype racers

I,d like some advice on settings for the Nurburgring
i got some hints and tips but i really don,t like the ASM for what it is.
It might work the bits but like with traction control the original prototypes/group c racers
never had these.
now tuning them up leaves (in my mind) room to play
with the TCS but not the ASM

my current record @ the ring stands at 5:40:733
With the black Mazda 787B

Settings:

R5 Tires all round

903 HP

Brakes are F6 R6

Driving aids are
ASM u: 0
ASM o: 0
TCS : 1

Transmission is autosetting 19

Suspension:
Spring rate F 9.3 R 8.8
Ride height F 90 R 92
Dampers B 4 4
Dampers R 5 5
Camber F 0,8 R 0,4
Toe F+1 R 0
Stabilizer F 4 R 4

Downforce full

Lsd 10 35 18

Any advice on settings with a max of TCS 2 are really welcome
Also for other Group C/Prototype racers like: GT ONE, Bentley R8, Sauber C9, Jaguar XJR9 Race car, Peugeot 905, Nissan R92CP, etc

Dial in a lot more camber. You can use as much as four degrees without it having any side effects, and it will increase the cornering grip greatly. Other than that, I don't really know... does it have any handling problems that would need ironing out?

at really high speeds 340 km/h + it gets awfully nervous but frankly there are just 3 places where i reach that speed on the ring
I,ll give those camber settings a try and let you know
any other advice on tuning beasties like this still greatly appreciated

edit: the 5:40:733 time has one mistake in it i briefly skid offtrack

My only tips would be to shift places with the springstiffness. IE harder in the rear. Gives you better balance. Also as Greycap pointed out, more camber. Something like 2.2 front and 1.0 rear. Toe is also Something to fiddle some with. a -2 in the rear should calm the car down in high speed. Also lower damper bounce to 3.

Well tried it but any more camber then 1.0 front and 0.5 rear makes it (for me at least) totally uncontrolable in corners. I think it has to do with the Nurbs frequent bumping and changing directions.
Replacing the spring stiffness however did help alot
was well on my way to a 4:35+ lap when i lost it at the end of the long straight.
Anyways, how old are those 'leaderboard' times ?
And what is your fastest times on the ring ?

The leaderboard times are pretty ancient, the board has been out of action for my entire GTP career and that has lasted for over two years now.

I'm not a Nordschleife master, at least in prototype racers but I can take a stock GT500 Motul Z on R3 tyres and my own settings to around the six minute mark without a serious sweat. Faster cars just begin to feel uncomfortable.

Camber IS very much a preferance setting, so I´m not surprised at all! The only other thing you can try is LSD settings. Something like 20/45/35 would probably be OK. Depends on your drivingstyle alot though.

I wouldn´t know my fastest in a Group C/LMP/GTP car. I never equip them with more power than they already have, and I usually only drive them on R1 tyres, so my best would be around the six minutes mark or so.

Hell they are uncomfortable :P
Specially when the adrenaline starts flowing too soon in the lap :S.
At the checkpoints i have to get a certain time if i don,t manage it i start the lap anew, when i,m seconds under it (like yesterday) i get a sudden adrenaline rush and i forget i was actually racing a real fast lap and i lost it at the end of the straight.
Btw toeing in to -2 at the rear is not effective on the Nurb
Best thing is to just not flat out on the two long "straights" keeps it quite stable with toe -1.
And another advice: if you touch the grass on fast straights 75% throttle and don,t touch your steering!

I,ll give those LSD settings a go
And might give it a try with a bonestock r1 shod 787b I.ll let you know what the results are

P.S. Stock 787B with R1 tires: 6:06:079 (same settings as in first post) the gearbox should be shorter
that way under 6 min is possible
