I know it was almost 100% confirmed, but i just dont get it why Ghost/EA just dont do anything with it, its a miss opportunity for many things they could do with it.

You mean like others have said early on in the thread it's not typical of a NFS game, so while it'd be nice to have it, shouldn't expect it.

I wouldn't really classify shifting as a 'sim stress' like tire heat or snap oversteer.. you just kinda, do it.

That being said I don't mind the lack of manual for the time being. I'd welcome it and use it, but I'll enjoy the game without it just the same.
Well for sims, people would commonly use manual to squeeze extra time out their laps by using engine braking & up shifting and downshifting at the right time. But for NFS which is an arcade game with rubber banding then I don't see why the extra need for manual.

Despite me preferring manual over automatic in every game I've played that offers this option, I can live without a manual transmission being added to this particular game at all.

To me, transmission options shouldn't even matter when there's vehicle customization that could rival the upcoming Harmony of the Seas cruise ship in size and in depth. I still don't know what I want to make...

Can you guys ask nfs on twitter for how many bumper and other parts for each car in the game ? If someone asks it i would really appreciate it .

Don't mean to interrupt this discussion on the old manual transmission issue, but someone on Reddit made this amazing map expansion:

Here's the normal map for comparison:

Ben noticed it, so hopefully we will see a larger map in the game's future. It seems the map was designed to include more areas anyway, so I think it's likely to happen.

*crosses fingers in hope this becomes the actual map in the full game*
Aside from "Clearwater Gardens" that is what the entire map was in the beta. And the original has an outline of Clearwater Gardens in it.

I really hope there is more cars and more customization options as some cars some things could not be customized. For example the 90's mustang could not change its rear lights, bumper, headlights, or exhaust.

I mean no Audi or Evo X, more Subaru's, and newer Honda civics? Hopefully the beta was only a glimpse and more well be added with the full game.

Even if in the event that this is paid, I have no problems paying for such a massive map size.

Friend of mine played the Beta and said the R32 didn't have any kits, but I've seen a picture posted by EA of a R32 with a fair bit of customisation so yeah..

Well this essentially confirms my theory that the map will be bigger based on the fact that I could see what looked like more buildings and roads on the Beta map.

Wow! its twice as big as the beta map and i hope there are good roads, would be good if you could drive on the airport

They need the airport for drag racing. Maybe use the airport for drag racing events and finally settle the rivalry between the supra, skyline, evo, and rx7

To be fair, the beta map does seem like it has needless empty margin around the accessible parts of the map. Yeah, that doesn't confirm anything, but one can only hope.

How? The car list has most of the big tuner cars and even a few oddballs such as the Volvo.
I expected a few more evos/subis/skyline (R33), and plus there's no presence of the ever so popular newer fairlady Z's.

Alright, so maybe not utterly disappointing, but I'm not satisfied.

Edit; A lot of fans probably expected more classic muscle cars as well. Quite frankly, so did I.
