Speedhunters feature: Recording the Sounds of Need for Speed -

http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/10/recording-the-sounds-of-need-for-speed/

A couple of interesting pieces from the article: The electric BMW i8 was used to record more pure tire sounds (without interference from exhaust) but the i8 is not in the game. The F80 M3 was recorded with Akrapovič exhaust. And the sounds of doors opening and closing were also recorded for various cars.

Thank you so much for posting this!
As a totally sound nerd this is absolutely awesome stuff!

Now I actually believe the people that claims the "BMW M2 trailer" is ALL in-game graphics and AUDIO!!!

You're very welcome! After reading the article I have high hopes for the sounds in the game.

Exactly! After reading the article I especially wonder how they made the sounds when a car is upgraded! How different does a BMW M4 sound with "Full Race Exhaust" in the game? If they only recorded it stock?

I'm guessing they would have recorded it stock, and we know from the article they did the Akrapovič exhaust system. Here's a real life comparison:

Wrote NFS15 on my calendar as a reminder about its released date.

9 days left and 4 days left for those who will be able to play the game early for those who have EA Access on Xbox One.

Damn it's almost release date. Feels like just yesterday that we saw the first trailer as a sign of Underground being resurrected.

On another note, I've been playing No Limits quite extensively over the last few weeks. It seems like there's a lot of crossover in the car list. I can only hope that the customization options are more extensive in the console game. In NL most bodykits are pre-made (you can't mix and match separate bumpers, side skirts and fenders), and 90% are fake brands. There's only 1-2 actual real life brands for most cars, and they are usually the only ones that are good looking. It's good, but nowhere near what UG2 was.

For NFS 15 you can have preset bodykits or make your own custom kit, or a mix of both. There is a lot of real brands along with fake "Need For Speed" parts as well. Visual customization is amazing.

Speaking of the bodykits, in the beta I was kind of disapointed that say if you put the Levin front on the AE86, you couldn't add new fenders or change any parts at all once that bodykit is on. I really really hope they change that... (Same goes for the 240ZG - 240Z, and the 180SX - Sileighty)

So who pre-ordered? I have exams until the 9th so have to wait until after then before I pick up a PS4 and NFS unless everyone says it's crap

Remember on Xbox one we get access to this on the 29/10/15 with ea access (10 hours trial) cannot wait

So tempted to. For a few weeks I was adamant to not to pre order it.

I did a couple of days ago. Playing the beta just made me more eager and we're so close to release now, so I decided to save myself some time now and pre-downloaded the game.

I want to see what these "Styling Pack" parts look like as well.

Yeah man, I'm on that good ol' hype train. I got the deluxe edition though... You think that was worth it?

I do. Ever since the teaser and E3 trailer, I never doubted preordering NFS since this is my first time preordering a game. Also along NFS, I also preordered Mirrors Edge: Catalyst because I miss the huge incentives we get from preordering a PS2 game.

That's subjective. If you think you'll love the game enough to spend the extra money for the exclusive content, then it's worth it. 👍

I personally decided to go with the standard version, but because of reasons not involving the game.

Well yeah I know its subjective, was just wondering what you or anyone else thought. I totally find the game worth the extra 10.

I remember in NFSU2 the R34 had such a kickass bodykit. *I think it was the apocalypse bodykit* and one of the bodykits available for the 206 was ripped right off the WRC bodykit. It's an interesting twist to be honest, I wish they had the spoiler that the WRC 206 used.

Going back to NL, it bothers me how freaking expensive the bodykits in that game are. I heard some people say that the visual points are much more easier to get through the tournaments but I haven't unlocked the tournaments yet so I can't confirm or deny if that's true.

Luckily, I don't think a lot of people on here noticed this from what ive seen but if trying to earn visual points is a pain, you can exchange gold for visual points to buy body modifications when you try to buy something when you don't have enough visual points.

By the way, how exactly do you pre-download the game so that the second it's available in the US, you can play it? (And yes, I ordered it on PSN)

I can't be bothered pre-ordering the game so close to the release date because I'm not gaining anything in the process. I didn't know that JB Hi Fi was taking pre-orders until last week. Anyway, I've loved seeing all the videos, pics and trailers. It's really shaping up well.

Anyone else finding the wait unbearable lol. Thursday for me along with other with EA access cant come soon enough. I could just imagine how bad others must dealer without EA access and have to wait until November 3rd especially for those who have exams that week.
