Yeah, the messed up part is that you have to use Magnus' car for the final Speed career event, which means giving up one of your cars to make room for it if you already have a full garage...

You see people, this is why 5 slots is a bad, bad idea.
If you assume that you get each icon's car, and you need them to complete the final events, that means you need the full 5 garage slots. You can delete them to avoid deleting your cars, but I doubt you can get them again.

I haven't had Magnus' car yet but I did get nakai sans car. Used it for what it was needed for then rid it from the garage. It is however free to buy back.

Yeah the boss cars cost nothing to buy even if you sell them again. I think there is a miss opportunity with the 5 car garage limit as every character has a place with what looks to be enough storage for a few cars but obviously you can't use it.

That sounds better, but it's still such a roundabout way of doing things. They could make it so you can hold 5 of your own cars + 5 of the boss cars (non-deletable). That would make much more sense.
And those pictures wow. I think we have finally reached the age of truly photorealistic games. The always rainy weather is gonna get old quick though.

Aaaand now I'm glad I didn't pre-order it. This is the kind of thing that even people with a basic knowledge of game design know to avoid.
As for the modding; if they don't provide more aftermarket parts in the final game than they did in the beta then it's going to be a huge disappointment once people reach the supercars and realise they can't do anything with them.

Has anyone been able to put a livery or paint their car? I really wanted to use the editor before I buy the game and it's locked. I'm in the high 20s in terms of levels so I'm sure it isn't locked. Especially with me going for the build career path.

I thought it was going to be more of an issue for me than it has been after 6 hours of play. It's weird, you just get caught up on building one car, maybe 2, that so far the 5 car limit hasn't bothered me at all. My MX5 is an absolute labour of love and money. But I do see how it could be problematic as well. Like I say they could easily patch in more spots in the rest of your crews places, especially Manu who seems to have a huge underground car park.
Me neither, level 22 and no paint yet.

Well, the image did show that it was just teired parts. There may be some parts that fit into one performance area (notably the Grip/Drift tyres) but it is essentially a pretty basic performance upgrade system

Further to that the map from corner to corner I think is around 8-9 miles. But it feels bigger than it looks.

Currently downloading, 10 hours to try the full game I thought why the hell not, may as wel, if it's rubbish for me i'll say, if it's good i'll say, if it's anything else i'll say a lot! Plan do to do a 10 hour review post on it when times up, still not planning on buying this game at all but a 10 hour free trial, nothing to lose really except to confirm my worries/let downs or change them.
What's this about the vinyl editor being locked? Bug or deliberate? Do you have to do the "style" and "build" paths to unlock all the customization options? Perhaps that's what is going on that it's locked to certain features?
My guess is do the style path and see if that unlocks it.

Yeah, they also try and pull you over first, but if you floor it and don't stop they'll chase after you (at realistic speed) and soon the Charger SRT-8's will be on you and they also deploy a few roadblocks at certain places too. Really awesome. I'll probably spend most of my time in my R34 GT-R running from the cops

You should set up the offset on the Miata. Or is that intentional ? It looked like the wheels are less wide that the fenders.
