Does anyone recommend to buy the 'Deluxe' edition instead of the normal edition, both are having a sale going on in the PS Store.... The normal edition for €28 & the Deluxe for €32. Any help ? :D

If you want the 10% discount on cars and parts then go for it. The M3 Deluxe is no longer exclusive thanks to the new wrap sharing.

As well there are a handful of vinyls. And a 'vip' star status next to your name in the who's online menu.

I've been wondering also if the Deluxe version is worth it too, I've got the standard and absolutely adoring it. But the upgrade is a pretty pricey $11.47aud... I want to though. I'll continue to see what goes on sale.

torque99 Top Tip of the day :sly: for new comers as this wasn't too clear on the map, but if you want to go to any race/mission/place or repeat a race for more money, click on the icon and where it says route, tap the left stick (right) once and it will give you a teleport option for instant travel..Took me a few weeks to realise this and I was driving a route to each race and place and wasted many hours!!.I think I am getting too old for these types of games!! .oh well at least this will save others time if you didn't know about it, It is great for earning cash quickly, also check your parts inbox for parts not required and sell for more cash. 👍:gtpflag:

@torque99 I initially played the Beta without realising this and drove to every destination. Thankfully I was made aware of the teleport button before I purchased the full game, saves a lot of time (but I still choose to drive on some journeys, especially when I have daily challenges to complete)

Yeah I hadn't read it any where and as there are no instructions in the box like there used to be in the good old days, I missed it haha..It is an important thing on the map and should be first or a big icon or button then the option to route if you fancied a drive, an error in my eyes and I am sure there are more than me that miss this ;)

I brought the deluxe version for the extra cars but I think it is only the M3 that was special (I thought there might be a few special wraps or more cars after unlocking) but if that is correct^^ it is available to everyone now so a tough decision.

As I am still quite new to the game, How do you unlock more of the map and roads I can see blanked out-Is this done by levels or Rep or time spent or missions completed?👍

Sorry to disappoint you, but the map you see when you start the game is the complete map. Ghost may release a map expansion, they may not, but I think it'd be successful.

It seemed quite small after playing the crew for a while:tup:

Well, of course, since The Crew has the second-biggest open world in a racing game, beaten only by Codies's Fuel. Still, I really do wish Ghost makes some map expansions; Ventura Bay really is a great locale.

@Theufcveteran Thanks, I did wonder how far I was getting and nothing was unlocking thanks for clarifying I will drive round it all again then :))

Yeah, The Crew has a great map, but to me, it still doesn't feel like TDU3. I think a large part of that is due to the fact that you can't buy houses, which was a great feature in TDU.

The atmosphere was really nice, and I loved the dealerships. I also really liked the gauge on the HUD being the same as the car you're in.

Yeah, The Crew is a really good game, although I think it's more like Fast & Furious than Test Drive Unlimited. Anyways, it's a really fun game which has vastly improved since release; and for the love of God, don't get me started on Wild Run, I could rant for hours on end on just how awesome that expansion is.

I've not gotten Wild Run, although it looks REALLY good. I have completed the story of the base game though, which I quite liked.

You really haven't bought Wild Run? You should do it ASAP, because it's a truly amazing expansion! I bought it on Christmas on Xbox, and I've gotten addicted to it.
BTW, the main thread for The Crew is right here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/the-crew-new-racing-ip-ubisoft.283142/
It's 30 euros, I could get it, but I'm gonna put that money towards EA Sports UFC 2. I will eventually pick it up though.
Thanks for the link to the thread. We should probably get this back on topic now. :)

Alright so i got this game back three days ago since it was on sale on Xbox, i thought i could give a chance again.

But since an update or something like that, the driving is HORRIBLE, like Project Cars, but at least PC is realistic. In NFS i don't even feel like i'm driving, i just hit walls and do rollovers until i, miraculously, cross the finish line.

At first i thought it was my F40, but nope, all my cars drive like a mess. Jesus even Super Monkey Ball is less rage-inducing(and that is coming from someone who KO'd most of his controllers on Super Monkey Ball).

I think i'll just give up on this game, maybe check it on PC if it's good with a G27, but even there i'm not sure.

Borrowed the game from my cousin to try it with the new photomode and Here's what I think by comparing it to the beta

  • Handling is still just worthless. Numerous times I've had the car pull to the right, even without me touching the analog stick, not to mention the drifting is so clunky, it feels like I'm constantly fighting the car to even initate a drift, even with a 300HP AE86 and Drift tires and a "setup" for drifting. then, if you have a car setup for grip, you actually have to drive like it's a racing game with braking lines. it's just... why? It's like Failrace put it, you have to turn off your brain to have any sort of fun, but it's so difficult to do it.

  • Customization is still abysmal. Bought an S15 to realize I can't actually select my own bumpers, just the pre selected kits, and numerous cars still have a poor selection and glitches with the parts. Not to mention the game is in desperate need of good rims and not just "JDM af bro, check out my fifteen52's. Ken block endorses them so they're good right?"

  • The vinyl editor is also the clunkiest one I've ever used. There's no fine adjustment/scaling/positioning system like Forza, where the game tells you the size, position, angle, etc so you can align better. Nope, NFS is basically just trying to tap the analog stick to get the sticker in the right spot, only to realize that it's 2002 again, and stickers below a certain size blur beyond belief. That I really can't believe, that a triple AAA studio doesn't include high res enough/scaling good enough to stretch and size vinyls like Forza has. It's really just embarrassing. Not to mention the "side" doesn't include the sides of the front/rear bumpers for some odd reason, which makes designing a halfway decent livery, even harder. And the selection of stickers? Well. Horrible unless you want to cover your car with Hellaflush/Illest stickers or some other "automotive" brands, or youtuber stickers. There's hardly any performance parts for making a decent looking livery, and do you want remake one? well, the scaling at small sizes is as blurry as a PS2 game, and there's only 1 font. Yes. 1. And not that good of a font. So have fun with that.

  • Lighting. There pretty much is none. It's just reflections and highly diffused, which is weird. You can park your car in front of a super bright wall light, and the car is lit the same pretty much, there's so few good lighting spots in the game it's ridiculous. Sure the reflections are pretty to a degree, but the constant rain makes everything look satin/matte/covered in dirt, so the cars just look eh... But that brings me to the Photomode.

  • The photomode? Well the camera moves as slow as the handling does it seems, but let's face it. If they update it, it'll be so twitchy you can't align a shot. The Depth of field is horrible, worst I've seen in a game really, Rockstar's in GTA V is miles better, and most of the filters, aka the 5 they included don't work with 90% of the city's lighting. The "exposure" doesn't actually adjust anything. It pretty much just increases the brightness to the point where lights blow out, and if you try to underexpose, the pure whites just darken to grey. too bad they didn't have a whole company of photographers to help with creating a proper photomode. Oh. wait... You can get a few nice shots in some parts of the city, like where it's morning, but most of the time, it's just struggling to find good lighting and making the DOF look decent.

I still really wanted to like this game, but at this point, screw it. I'm just gonna stick to GTA V Mods.

I'm pretty sure that's a controller issue. But yeah, the driving physics is quite inconsistent and janky.

The rim selection isn't that bad, but could definitely use more to choose from. Would love to see some LM GT2s.

While your points are completely valid from the perspective of someone whose owned any recent Forza game, us Playstation only users have never had that kinda luxury and quite frankly it's much better than anything that's previously existed on PS. Yes, it could be a lot better with the features you mentioned (high res scaling etc.) but it's still possible to create decent looking wraps. It just takes a bit of time.

The camera movement is only a touch slower than GT6, it's not that big of a deal. But I do agree that the way the DOF and Exposure Compensation has been implemented is straight terrible. Managed to make it work and get some half decent shots though, with a fair bit of retouching that is.

It's not wheel compatible but it is very possible to play NFS 2015 with a wheel. Although it can be hard to get use to playing with a wheel especially when your driving a drift tuned car.
I would hate to use my wheel on this game and I wouldn't see how it is possible as only way you can only initiate a turn at pace is only when you have to drift or have the tale out. Also, the game is so fast paced that it be so hard to maintain control with the wheel.

You're probably talking about the ghetto GTA V wheel hookup method, yeah?

Yep. Unplug your Thrustmaster T80 *the wheel I'm currently using* from your PS4, then plug it back in while holding the PS button and then you can play NFS 2015 with a wheel.

If anybody wants a challenge on NFS, especially with the races, then I suggest just adding parts into your car without adding nitrous or any handling parts.

Performance parts only. Take it to the streets and see if you can win.

That's how I'm testing my cars from now on.

That's why all my plates say "NOBOOST".

Edit: I did the 'On The Dream Team' race and I dropped my time from a 8:51 to a 8:03..

Yeah I feel good about that.

I've gotta say. This game is great! I usually more realistic racers like GT and project cars, but this game is just great fun.

It drives so smoothly and this is the first game I can actually pull of grat drifts. The handling is, compared to say Driveclub, do much more intuitive.

The story is cheesy, but fun. I did get flashbacks to GTA4, because of the amount of telephone calls.... But it works.

And the graphics are really something else. It looks so cohesive. Really well done.

And the amount of races and things to is great value. The 5 car garage is a bit stupid. I get why they did it, but I had to sell some of my sweathearts to buy a car, I wanted to try, to find out it sucked... So yeah that a shame.

All in all I give this game a solid 9.

Seriously 🤬 always online gaming, adds nothing to the game.

Anyway my thoughts about the game now.

It's not bad but I question anyone saying this is a great game (it's above average at best) It's abit like Midnight club for me except online and with a terrible soundtrack.

Cons:

-The cutscenes (FMVs or whatever they're called) at first I was like hey it's cheesy and funny but they're getting on my nerves, I just mute them now with how cringe they are (but people like them so fair enough).

-The driving physics, they range between god awful to meh, found Grip handling to be terrible and not user friendly, drift is fun at least.

-The limited customization, even the E30 you can't do much to it (baffling)

-The AI, they have improved this but I'm into the hard events and I won 99% of whatever events I entered very very easy, the only time I lose is because I crashed due to the sometimes unclear GPS

-Having other racers appear while you're racing so you can crash into them

-photomode is very limited

-No Manual transmission

-Police are useless

-Fixed night time section (different time of day fixed to areas )

Pros:

Graphics look very nice, frostbite is a great engine although I think it drops frames alot.

Cruising around with friends is fun

Car selection is solid

some great roads to drive

Like I said it isn't a bad game but when I think about it, it doesn't do anything new or ground breaking, I want EV to do an open world driveclub with customization. don't think this deserves more than a 6.5/10
