I agree. I loved every single NFS that came out until NFS:MW. For some reason I just did not like that game. I played it on the xbox and on the 360 and I dont know why but I did not like it. Hopefully NFS:Carbon will get me back into the series. NFS:HP2 for PS2 was my favorite. I also liked NFSU2 a lot too.
 
Wow. The graphics are niice, much better than I'ne seen in any NFS game so far. I checked around, but there's not much else besides some avatar sized screen shots as far as info.

I'm going to get it for PS3. I'm going to get one eventually anyway (though it may bee awhile before it drops below $300) I'll hold off and get it when I get a PS3, so I can have it with the best graphics.
 
Just played it tonight, the graphics is little better than MW in my opinion, maybe because it is at night. Crew thing reminds me the gang part in GTASA, but it sounds really stupid to me, maybe cool for an 8-year-old. The physics on the first race is very weird (it's like Square's Driving Emotion), but afterward the physics is ok. I am not sure the auto countersteer exists or not, but drifting is pretty easy on this game, but I still prefer U2's.
 
the whole 'let the game countersteer for you' thing is annoying, i keep doing my own and killing the drift. WHY CAN'T I TURN IT OFF!? there should just be a hammer with off written on it, annoying auto countersteer. OFF!

Just thought I would let you know there are only about 5-6 drift events in the entire single player anyway so its no big deal if you dont get used to it. I personally didnt care much for the drifting either in NFSC. Especially with the muscle cars. Its better with the tuners and exotics.
 
auto-counter steer is the car keeping itself from spinning, i want to do it myself, the game is an absolute legend, it just needs to bring back the 'old skool' drifting. i'm currently rollin in a candy blue RX7, standard red Vauxhall Monaro VXR and a red RX8, what are you guy driving? (in the game)
 
Just rented the game and well to be honest...meh wont even play half the game probably. I love to use manual tranny and I have to REALLY press down the shift buttons usually have to hit them 2-3 times, no me no likey :(. I can do auto but its not as controlling, plus when I lift off the gas completely my momentum barely slows and my gas pedal gauge only drops slightly and for having 0% current pressure on the pedal it seems the car is driving itself, no? Plus I can really feel the asm in the car too may have to turn it off. Good story tho as always. But...there are cops again and well I HATE cops and all the BS I had to go thru to beat MW was just silly, a total waste, I mean c'mon I have to spend 1.5 hours STRAIGHT to finish the last 'cop challenge' and dodge 8 spike stips etc? YAWN!.....anyway its just another arcade cpu controller racer imo. Worst one yet, they should have condinuted just the underground series or not made the last 2 games. I'll replay NFSUI and II tho, those are good fun!

if i remember correctly, underground/mostwanted and probably carbon are all made to be played with a controller. i have a playstation2 to usb adapter, so i'll be using my ps2 controller to play most wanted on my pc probably... since it doesnt recognize my pedals.
 
Cant NFS back track a bit and make one like Road Challenge??
The police were smart and it was a challenge running from them. They could mix the two together with the open road from the recent NFS games and have the same type of police from NFS3 and road challenge.
