Possibly has to do with your vehicle damage system. Previously you can smash your car all you want with no consequences at all. Now you have to drive safe or get busted quick.

Actually i was in Heat 3 pursuit in my starter BMW M3 (small upgrades only) and i was totally annihilated by them. I had literaly no way to outrun them and loose the pursuit. I managed to stay alive for some time thanks to gas stations, but limited number of repairs didn't help much. I hope it won't be THAT hard in better higher level car.

Don't have it but I'm certain they can be chased by cops.

Judging by how Ferrari is I really do hope they get chased by cops. You know how Ferrari is Cops Bad for our Image.

Honestly Ferrari arrogance is bad for their image not cops or videogames.

There is some gameplay of LaFerrari in NFS Heat. At the end of the video he takes it for a spin at night. I highly doubt that Police would ignore it during that time ;)

Man 2 annoying features i hated in payback are back :(

1. No cockpit view :banghead:
2. Hate the way the camera zooms out way to much when in 3rd person  Wish there was a option to keep it close.

If anybody has got any Ferraris yet if so can they be chased by cops?
Why would Ferrari be ignored by police in the first place? Anyway I saw a video of an F40 being chased by police.

There are many youtubers of lv50 with 5+ millions reo, but still no FXX K gameplay. I wonder how exactly do you rise the crew levels.

In past nfs games apart from Hot Pursuit 2. Ferrari was never allowed to be chased by cops. Oh wait NFS rivals actually allowed Ferrari to be chased by cops

Hence why Im asking if it is the same with Nfs heat.

Update: yes Ferrari cars can be chased by cops I just watched a video of F40 getting chased by cops with a heat level of 3.

I cant wait to get this game Ferrari + cops is what sells it off to me.

KuruHS on Twitch has it unlocked. He’s already put 24 hours into the game.

Really? I never noticed it. And I thought I was a NFS veteran. My bad.

Not quite.

Rivals' marketing campaign made a sizeable deal out of "look! Ferraris! Cops! Cops in Ferraris!! And even somewhat in the way you think it is!!!", so they were definitely chaseable there. As they were in 2015. Well, I say "chaseable in 2015"..

Aside from the first game (which I haven't had a chance to try myself and Google is being awful right now), I believe the only times they've been blocked will have been in 3:HP (and even then you could use one of them in the PS1 version) and HS. In other words, they've been chaseable in more games than not. Besides, considering what gameplay is like these days, it would be extraordinarily awkward if cops weren't allowed to chase specific cars. Could be a decent little easter egg if they didn't chase Testarossas, but that's about it.

Also I guess I'll sign myself up for the waiting list for a GTP crew on PS4. Not only is FOMO a 🤬 but for once it feels mostly justified.

On Pc there was mods that allowed Ferraris to be playable on HP mode in NFS 3.

For Nfs 3 HP for PS1 emulators actually allow the Ferrari 550 Maranello to be playable on Hp mode if you download the cheats for it. F335 i think is also playable but I could not get it to work for some reason.

High stakes did not allow Ferraris to be faced by cops. The Mercedes CLK GTR was also not available on HP mode.

I think really comes down to the manufacturer really in the past it was actually Honda creating a fuss about cops and illegal street racing.

This so much.
I hated how the camera gets super close to the car when you start picking up speed and the way it stretches the FOV on payback, on some cars like the diablo or the murcielago it was nearly unplayble with the close camera. It seems like they toned it down slightly it on Heat but it's definitely still there when you go over 200mph.

Think I still have 4 hours left of trail and I made 300k off the time trail so far, sadly I suck at milking that so hopefully I can try to make another 300k before it end.

I'm super happy with how my M3 is turning out :D

Am I reading that right, level 50 is the highest level you can get? The game is over at level 50?

there’s a crew system in the game which allows you to start or join a crew with other players that gets levelled up from every crew members progress. Level 50 is the max crew level and when your crew reaches that the FXX K EVO is unlocked

Let's say that at lv50 you unlock everything and make races more rewarding. You will still need to do races for bucks. And you will still be farming those ultimate parts for your car during night. IMO this is the right way to progress a car game. Much better than the 9999 system.

Thank you people for posting your thoughts on the game! Fear, I'm going to spent money tomorrow if it will be on stock at evening. Can't believe there is finally a decent NFS game coming out.

I find this game Uber annoying. It looks very pretty, the car selection is great, the customisation Is as good as ever, the map from what I’ve explored is very good and large, I like the overall gameplay premise and ideas. But man, I cannot stand how the cars drive. Pain in the rear. And all the cars are locked behind rep levels and bank and I cba putting the time in to unlock the cars I want when all I wanna do is modify them and muck about.

I’ll wait for it to go in the access vault rather than buy.

I normally bank once I reach level 2 since I feel my car to slow and I’m terrified on going from heat level 3-5. So my fear should let you know how difficult cops are but it’s not bad very challenging which I love just know my car limit.

I played 8 out of the 10 hours available for the trial and for me the game is miles better than Payback was. The only thing I don't like this time round is the soundtrack which is absolutely awful, earlier on I was blasting across a highway at high speeds which was exciting and thrilling but the music made it sound like I was sitting in Nando's.

There are also some very simple things that they could do to enhance the experience IMO.

- Let us skip the post race screens. They go on for a long long time just to award you some credits and show off your horrible dirty car.

- Add an option to photo mode to clean your car. The current option for disabling the damage is nice but what's the point when the car remains dirty?

- Add a way of painting turbo fans. I currently can't change mine from black.

- Add a better way of navigating the massive lists of clothing and wheels. Even if it's just assigning a button to move to the end of the list.

- Add a way of enabling you to zoom in on the livery editor. I swear the old games had this?

- Increase the zoom level on the tight Time Trial maps. They are just a mess of lines that overlap because they use the zoom level from standard race events.
