it si pretty good. (see my thread ;)) I like the feature of quite a lot of cars for a ND4SPD game. :D rent it out though, like i am ;)

do the cars look ****ty like all the other NFS series did? (square edged)

also, do the cars still handle like they are stuck on a rail?

Actually those are probably the Xbox or GC if anything. The PS2 has the best of the bunch, as it was done by a different company than the Xbox, GC and PC versions. I have the PS2, and played the PC and the PS2 is better all around. It has more tracks, more details on the tracks, better car models, and damage modeling. (PC doesn't)
Plus in the PS2 version the cops have Nitrous Oxide, while on the PC the cops are jokes. (Plus the Ps2 handles better)
All the reviews of this game have talked about these things.

well, whatever platform those last 3 shots came from is pitiful. It has more Jaggies than a PS1 game developed by 3D0.

the cars look quite smooth, cept for the murcielago's back which is sharp (that's the way it is though in real life) and the cops do have nitrous. :) The SVT cops catch the fastest road cars in a cinch from a stop start and then they start stopping you.

Damn, if only they had a little more time to work on the game. It could've been much more beautiful.

(I stole that comment, of course.)

The game is ok. Could be better I think. Its a little fun but it needs to be more real. I just really am not a fan of this game.

I just dont like any of these arcady games. Seems real stupid when they are doing jumps and rolling around. I like the more realistic types. If i want jumps and flips and stuff i'd prefer to do it with stupid go-karts or something, I dont want to be flipping F-50's and Vipers... just seems kinda stupid.

It'd be more stupid to flip a really hot and exotic Lamborghini. It may be loads of fun to drive one but it is too delicate to take damage because Lambos take lots of money to repair them, but only in real life if you were driving one and trashing it.

That's the PC version, the PS2 version looks a hell of a lot better than that! No jaggies whatsoever in there.

If your computer has a superb graphics card like a Radeon 9700, it'd be better.

nope, It's still crap, just crap without jaggies. The Ps2 version is completely different and features much better models and track designs. The PC, GC, and Xbox versions are like cheap imitations. (like old console ports of Arcade games used to be)

I was looking through the instructions on the PS2 version at the video library - it seems there's no Logitech wheel option.

If they can't be bothered putting a Logitech option on the game, I can't be bothered getting it. Sheesh - even the original Burnout had that option.

I didn't even think of it until now, but I just plugged mine in, and it works perfectly. It's not on the box, or anwhere in the manual though, which is very odd.
I can't guarantee Force feedback though, because I seem to have misplaced the power supply to the wheel, but as for the controls, they work flawlessly. :)

Nuh - 14th now - the Rockstar developers meet with the Office of Film & Literature Classification on Thursday this week to (hopefully) finalise the rating (they've already taken out the prostitute 'feature' ) - if it's okay they're right to go on the 14th.

I hired this tonight - apart from the usual EA 'floaty' control feeling it's actually okay. Not 'buy me' okay for me as I prefer Burnout over NFS, but it looks okay, animation rolls along at a fair clip and sounds alright. Nowhere as bad as I thought.

hey, vat. my mum just checked the inner city today and they said friday!? (grace bros) she will pre-order it tomorrow for me. :)
