I dunno, in that screenshot it looks pretty good imo. Not as good as the original of course, but still pretty good.

It also seems it's closer to the older Need For Speeds (MW2005, UG2). Look, no supercars were shown, R32, ridiculous bodykits, etc. The song in the video is from ProStreet. Just don't remember what it's called though.
Seems to be based on Castellated Nut by Junkie XL.

I'm kinda happy with what the game's turning out to be. Yeah, it'll be filled with micro-transactions, but it's not meant to be a triple A console game.

This looks like the ideal game for people (myself included) who wanted a new Underground 2/Most Wanted 2005. I don't mind it being mobile only, the micro transactions will make or break the game for me at this point.

It has now been confirmed that the game is free-to-play and it will support microtransactions, hopefully FM learned their lessons from Real Racing 3.

Edit: you can be sure there will be a fuel/energy system too.

Let's place bets on which areas of the game will depend on IAPs.
Cars, it's obvious. The problem is that newer cars on Real Racing 3 are ridiculous overpriced, if they follow the same path by having a limited event to win some cars, it's fine by me.

The minimum specs have also been revealed:
API level 15, 1.21.2GHz processor, 1GHz RAM, 800x600 screen res - GPU - Tegra 3, Adreno 302, PVR SGX543/545

Also, this tweet makes it look like they plan to release it on other devices (maybe consoles).

I found many things just now. First, has the game already released? iTunes makes it look that way.

Now some details about gameplay:
How do I earn currency to upgrade my cars?

Need for Speed no limits has 3 currencies. You'll gain in-game Cash($) and Visual Points by competing in events or challenges whether you win or lose! Gold is awarded when you level up and can be purchased through the Blackmarket. You can sell parts you no longer want for Cash($) through the Storage option in your garage.

I'm stuck on an event, what can I do?

Always make sure you're drifting, avoiding the traffic including other competitors. Upgrade your car with parts from the Blackmarket and Fuse the parts you no longer require. Try a different configuration of parts but don't forget you'll need to balance your performance upgrades within the car's energy limit.

Why didn't the part upgrade after a fuse?

As parts get upgraded it'll take more to gain a level when fusing. Higher rated parts can be upgraded further and higher rated parts have a greater affect when used in Fusing.

How do the part ratings work?

Parts come in 7 Classes: E,D,C,B,A,S and R. The higher the class of a part the higher the stat increases achieved through Fusing. Higher class parts require more Energy.

Why can't I play offline?

We optimize the GFX level for your specific device, prevent cheaters exploiting and help tune your gameplay experience by sending and receiving data from our servers. In order to do this we need you to be online while playing our game.

Why has GFX level on my device dropped and how do I fix it?

We optimize the GFX level for your specific device but to do this we need to download data from our server. Reboot the game with a stable Internet connection.

Can I transfer my progress to another device?

Unfortunately currently we only save you data to your device. We plan to address this in future updates. WARNING: Deleting the application from your device will cause you to lose all purchases and progress!

Three currencies, energy limits (goes against the name of the game?), no backup saves... this game went from 100-0 real quick. :P

But hey, cars can finally be sold. FM learnt something from RR3.

I tried to check if it was out @wicken, but iTunes told me its not available in the U.S but its available in Taiwan? :boggled:

FM said on facebook that they are soft launching in selected territories.

Here's some gameplay.

I'll admit, I was slightly interested in this game. Not anymore. The physics look bad, the controls look bad, it's always online and you will probably be "encouraged" to purchase premium currency in order to progress.

I agree, this is not what I thought it would be. I enjoyed most wanted and how your score would help out in the console version.. I also like it was a game you could out right just buy and play.. I hoped it would be another game like that.. this freemium concept game I bet will nickle and dime you to hell just to get ahead so im not jumping on board.. it looks like an asphalt type game with NFS branding

I hate these new games which download in instalments, like every new mission it needs to download and it seems like every other screen it needs to pause to download! 30MB here... 80MB there...

It's probably because people were put off when they saw things like 2GB downloads but that way was so much better plus you can play offline.

Seen a post by NFS, thinking the release maybe soon. Posted a picture of the mobile versions, and said prep yourself for NFS No limits. (posted 3 hours ago)

I was discussing this earlier on my profile page, since I forgot* we had a thread on this.

*I might have been a teeny-tiny bit lazy and didn't want to search for this thread. Maybe.

Most (if not all) F2P games with in-app purchases are designed to get you to pay more. That's how they make money. I have no idea why so many of you are condemning a game that works the way it should. The 'deepest circle of hell is reserved for EA Games?' Get over yourself, it's a bunch of moving pixels on your mobile phone.
